Huh. Looks like the milestone information got lost somewhere along the way—normally we put that information in the form of an "Advancement Track" as part of the table of contents for the adventure itself. The format of this one is a bit different, in that there's only one table of contents for the whole book, so I guess the Advancement Track got left in limbo.

But as folks mentioned, the value of the Trivial/Low/Moderate/Severe/Extreme line for each encounter title shows what the expectations are. Here's the quick breakdown though:

Level 1: Chapter 1, parts 1–3
Level 2: Chapter 2, part 1
Level 3: Chapter 2, part 2
Level 4: Chapter 3, parts 1–2
Level 5: Chapter 3, part 3
Level 6: Chapter 4

Thank You very much for the reply. I am really enjoying the PF2e version of this iconic adventure. Tomorrow (10-16-22) I will be using this to introduce a total of 4 first time players to TTRPG. We have hopped into Roll20 over the last week and practiced combat skirmishes so they have the basics down. I am really excited because I know they will love it.

For anyone who is interested:
Shoony Fighter
Human Rogue
Human Ranger
Android Monk
Gnome Druid

I am just checking to see if anyone has already done the math (or I just missed where it stated it) to see where the milestones would be?

If not, I will go ahead and update what I come up with when I get to that part of preparing the adventure. Just hoping to save me some legwork if someone beat me to it. Thank You :D

Thank You very Much. This is exactly what I have needed for a very long time.

It shouldn’t be though in my opinion and this is why:
Having a standing army cost Consumption. And Consumption can cost 5RP. So I am hoping to attribute a Cost for a size so if my players want to have several standing small armies vs one gigantic army I would know how to calculate that.

Because from what I can tell you just have an army that cost generally 1 consumption every month

But if my heroes need multiple armies to fight on two fronts then the Abstract number suddenly becomes an issue. What if there is an approaching Orc army 400 strong coming from the East but there is also a neighboring Kingdom with hostel intentions creeping ever so closer from the West with an army 1000 strong. How long can they hold out with such a large army before consumption becomes an issue? Maybe while this is happening my players are interested in going undercover in said City and sabotage food supplies or create unrest to force recalling the Army back.

I also couldn’t find a cost for RP (I know it’s abstract supplies) but we had a GP cost in P1. So would it be along the lines of 100gp= 1RP?
If that was the case then to build a Castle would cost 54,000gp worth of supplies. Anyone want to help me out here?

My group and I love the Crunch of PF and always have. I think if I can find a GP value for a RP then RPx5 would be the cost for “an army” monthly. From that you can guest the reasonable size based on food/payment

Ideas anyone? Thank you

Can anyone say Dragon Egg?

We are a family of Pathfinder Players. I DM three different groups (friends, coworkers, and family).

Well about three weeks ago they discovered 2e and now almost want to just completely retire the current games due to anticipation and excitement.

I had pondered an idea to use the playtest rules and have them roll up some characters and maybe play some dungeon crawls and what not for the next three months but given that much has/will be changing from the playtest I am not sure that is a good idea. Learning new rules just to relearn new rules can be hard.

Anyone else suffering from this "Stalemate" situation that I have found myself and my groups in?

I would think more issues would arise from a reward that just because your a specific Sex or a different Race (Minority?) then just creating more nonspecific Gender/racial rewards. If there is an Award I would suggest that EVERYONE has an equal chance to contribute or work for that said reward. Wouldn't be fair for White Males if they are specifically singled out do to factors they never had a choice in.
