Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1
![]() No need to feel sorry, there is little the guy is doing anyway. Feeling very uncomfortable in town with the Hellknights around Karas and Ignir come to the conclusion that both of them need some fresh air. They leave the Dragon through the front door intending to leave skip town for a few hours. But instead of going to the Northgate Karas finds himself drawn to the enormous ruined tower in the North-west area of the town. Before he full and well realised it he stands at the base of the grand tower, or formerly grand tower. Not quite sure why he went here Karas approaches the building in search of anything that might tell of it's former use. Perception I guess 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 ![]()

![]() Let my try to clarify that a bit (I know we'll be there a lot and knew from the start): Sandpoint as a resting place between action (or as place of the action) is just fine, it's more a problem when there isn't much to do beyond village politics. At this moment he simply has no reason to stay in Sandpoint. I'll figure out how to make him fit or make a character that does fit. ![]()
Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1
![]() The problem is more that karas has no reason to stay in Sandpoint but all the more reason to stay with the party when they leave it. Basically he's on a journey of discovery sent by his elders and the only reason he came to Sandpoint at all was the Swallowtail Festival. Right now he has nothing to do there, even less with the Hellknights there actually (Shoanti and Hellknights don't mix, especially Order of the Nail). Basically his reason for being in Sandpoint has been fulfilled so to say and he has found it turning into a hostile environment over night, a hostile environment he could just walk away from. ![]()

![]() Richard still is good, or bad, or whatever As for rerolling, I'm not sure. I made Karas because I really liked (and still like) the concept of the Wild Caller archetype. The problem is more that Karas as a Shoanti is lost in this strange world where nothing goes the way he's used to and the character's default response is to sit and wait, which doesn't really make for compelling RP. The fact that, thematically, he doesn't really mesh with the rest of the group (no one's fault in any way, just how it ended up being) makes it difficult. In short, I'll think about it. ![]()
Male Half-Elf Summoner (Wild Caller) 1
![]() Sorry for the silence, but I'm actually having trouble finding anything to do for Karas. He can't really do anything with the Hellknights since all he wants is for them to go and preferably also huddle up in some dark corner and die.
In short, he's a bit lost ![]()

![]() Karas came running up the stairs, shortly followed by Ignir. "I'm sorry, we just could not get rid of Foxglove and his questioning. It was like he was grilling me instead of the boar." He look at the goblin carcass on the floor, "Seems like I missed something here." Ignir snuffs the body of the goblin and then turns around, heading out of the room. Sorry for the absence, you know why :) ![]()

![]() Ignir turns his head towards Noro when she asks if she can pet him, "I'd rather not." Once he was done he upped his pace and moved further away from her. "He can be a little temperamental. As for my name, I'm not sure how much there is to tell. That name is the result of my connection with Ignir, nothing more really." The fact that the connection started manifesting during his rites of passage and how that went were things he wouldn't tell, partly because he'd prefer not remembering but mostly because it was not done to tell an invader about clan rituals. ![]()

![]() That morning Karas and Ignir came down the stairs together, there was no way they'd split with Hellknights in town. When Foxglove mentioned the hunt Karas sighed, "I'll come along, but I won't kill any more than we can eat. There is no point in such wasteful activity." That and it would be nice to be out in the wilds again. ![]()

![]() "Well, I guess we can stay a while, assuming you can get a message to my clan for me. Chances are they are delaying migration for me and I should inform them there is no need." Karas leaned on his spear as he talked. The Elven woman was pretty, in a weird, familiar sort of way. Maybe it was some kind of feral side, something that reminded him of home. Ignir just grins. ![]()

![]() Boar hunt? It always struck Karas as odd that these people hunted for sport. His people hunted for food or for ritual purpose, like a rite of passage, but never for sport. He just nodded, there were more important things going on now. That evening, before curfew, both Karas and Ignir made their way over to the mayor's house. ![]()

![]() Ignir scowls, "Don't you worry about me dreamer, I've killed these infernal puppets before, and their devil masters. It was glorious. But that was a past life, a past me." He takes a step back, and then looks the leader in the eye, "Maybe another day." Karas just shakes his head. Hellknights were bad. His tribe had stories about them and some other Quahs fought with them on a somewhat regular basis, with variable success. They were a hopeless lot and these lands wouldn't know peace until the Quahs had removed them. Peace with the other invaders was possible, but not with these thugs. ![]()

![]() As the Hellknight hits the sheriff a load roar comes from Ignir and it's only a gesture from Karas' hand that keeps him from attacking the Hellknight. "What are these recent events that you speak of sir Ancillmar, that they draw the attention of your order? I mean, it seams the people here have fared well without you." There was no way they could have received news of the goblin attack yet. The Chelish and their Hellknights were the worst of the invaders and Karas could feel the hate coming from Ignir. These men had to go or chances were he'd lose control and Ignir would end up murdering them. While he didn't mind that, it would cause trouble for the people of Sandpoint. ![]() What I love about Druma is how different it is from many staple fantasy locales. It's completely and solely focused on making money and advancing yourself without harming others (outside of business deals) and combines it with asceticism. It's a weird mix and I like it. ![]()

![]() Karas and Ignir had followed Zella after she went to get the Sheriff, seeing the scene unfold from where they sat enjoying the sun. They are just about to approach Darius and inquire about the current events when they see the armored men approach. Ignir automatically drops into a defense posture as armored men were rarely good news when you were a Shoanti. Sheesh, the dusky half-drow gets all the attention while the 18 Cha Shoanti Half Elf gets none. What has this world come to :P ![]()

![]() Zelladania wrote: It's your job as a parent to talk to your kids about all aspects of life, regardless of what they may have already heard from friends and tv/internet. Neglectful parenting is a serious problem. Absolutely, I agree wholeheartedly. the point I was trying to make was more on the how instead of the what though. Turning something like sex into some giant issue by having The Talk is rather silly if you ask me, since it's just a normal thing like walking and brushing your teeth. It absolutely deserves attention and needs talking but many parents (seen it happen all around me) make it something big and dramatic. The way my parents did it was by simply answering any questions I or my brothers had, and not as part of some big talk but when they came up. The only thing they emphasized is that porn is as realistic as Lord of the Rings and one shouldn't consider things you see as normal. And yes Darius, that is similar to what I meant ![]()

![]() It might be me but the whole concept of "the talk" and a designated parent seams silly. Chances are that by the time you, as a parent, think the time is right your kid has already heard many things from both friends and TV/internet. Besides, should both parents be able to talk about things like that? (Like I said, may just be me or some sort of cultural difference between US/Canada and Europe) Just to be clear, I don't mean to offend anyone or say that he/she's wrong, just shine my light on it. ![]()

![]() When the sheriff entered karas had just come down the stairs, still looking tired. There was no trace of Ignir. The goblins had entered the crypt? That was a bad thing, the dead should not be disturbed, which is why his tribe cremated the bodies of the deceased. "You will have my aid." His stomach audibly growled, "But I'd like to get some food first." Oops, that's what I get when I figure I'll post later, I forget all about it ![]()

![]() Karas mostly talked that evening. With Foxglove and with Zeus. With Foxglove he talked about his people and Ignir's significance, with Zeus it was more about Zeus' companion and how he figured into all of this. The conclusion was that there were just as much similarities between his friend and Ignir as there were differences. During all this Ignir laid in the corner of the room, sleeping. When the time came the both of them went upstairs to their rooms. Neither of them was used to a place like this, even though it wasn't their first time in an inn. ![]()

"Greetings." Shoanti:
What's with you being all talkative? For those curious, I used google translate to turn Tagalog into Thassilonian (weird and unrecognisable letters the biggest reason) and used Romanian for Shoanti, which is related to Varisian just like Romanian is related to Italian (which I tend to use for Varisian) ![]()

As she extend a hand he looks at her curiously before gently taking it in his beak, the same beak that just tore goblins to pieces, and shaking it akin to a normal handshake.
