I'm fully okay with alternate timelines. Maybe a weird magic where we return and everyone at the village is like "Who are you guys?", and we're like "We're the ones you sent out.", and they're like "No we didn't. We sent 4 other people."

Or even an unknown narrator going, "Now lets check in on Talman's Bounty in Universe 853."

Or another shipment of settlers arrives and the 4 PC's are off having their own adventures while the 4 new bucks come in to be the real heroes.

Or focus in on Kar and he's staring at a snow globe and everyone realizes the whole thing was all in his head. He's been making up stories when he hears the reports of these 4 brave souls.

Just a heads up, I have the character built on paper, but need to get it put into the computer, make a name and backstory, etc. Been a busy few days with more to come, but I'll have it done soon, I promise.

Seems like a team to me. Champion for frontline, arcane and divine (?) spells, skills. Just need to know what sort of things everyone wants to focus on so I don't step on anyone's toes.

Yeah, I think Rogue is the way I'd like to go. The skill feats would let me fill in any small gaps in the group fairly easily. So I'll wait to build until everyone else has an idea of what they want to play and then I can fill in.

Well, I'm going to be playing a druid in my home game, so not a primal caster. I guess I'd prefer to play a skill monkey of some sort. Rogue or bard I presume are still the skill classes. I'm down for converting to 2E if that's what you want. But I'd like to have the option to change my character in its entirety. Kar is a very specific build set and I'd not want to try it without these resources.

Kar stands to the side, listening but not understanding the words, trying to follow based on body language and Posh's translations. But even his mind begins to wander and he focuses on a particularly brilliant butterfly before snapping back into focus.

Kar moves to back up Tessa, beside but behind, also between Grandfather and these strangers. He keeps his hands clasped together to try and appear non-threatening, but internally he is presuming they will attack regardless of reason. (He's growing bitter already.)

Kar is just barely able to not avoid getting hit, but he is able to avoid being grabbed. Stepping back, he once again tries to squish one of these things.
Flurry of blows on the one that entered his space, still in snake stance, using another round of elemental assault.

Kar will move up and try to beat the crude out of these things. He summons elemental power to the heels of his feet as he curb stomps them into the bank of the stream. Using 1 round of Elemental Assault. Starting with the one attack Tessamine, if it drops moving to the next one near him.

That is really weird damage. 4 and 4 and 4 and 4. Still in Snake Stance, so the unarmed is piercing.

Speaking only for Kar, he would not call for Jader. Not only was he close by, but Kar doesn't trust Jader. They have almost no info. Is this really an attack? Or is it just some guard panicking because something new showed up? And Jader always responds with his sword arm. The fact that Jader is always correct (as far as they know), secretly infuriates Kar. SOMETHING on this island should be not immediately hostile. In Kar's opinion. Also, he wouldn't wait on Posh as he doesn't know how much of an actual threat is present here.

Also, yes that hits. Can't deflect it while I'm flat footed.

@GMNayr: Kar is providing them at cost. So selling them for the cost of the paper and ink. He would give one to Romona, keep one for himself, and then "sell" any additional. Or trade for them. With Anya specifically, probably an amount of food, or useful leather goods. That sort of thing.

Don't know if that would be considered "craft mundane item" or "earn capital"? Or something else? Either way, he'd want to maps of each if possible, one for him/the group and one for the colony at large.

Kar assaults the tree with incredible force, pummeling it with his fists. The vine itself disintegrates under his blows and falls away, so he attacks the others about him that are threatening to encircle him. Unfortunately, he cracks the branch on which he crouches with his blows as he does.

Response to rules talk:
I am fine with this. The only time I don't like rules changes are when they take away the chance to do something from a player. Normal rules to avoid falling damage would be an acrobatics check, but this is substituted for a Reflex save. So this is what I'd call an example of a good change. Also, it appears I was wrong about what was attacking Kar.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

He can't swim worth a darn, but he can MONK!

Stuck in a tree, probably 20 feet up, he's in a touch spot even if he does get out. So Kar will try to hit this thing
