Yeah, Thanks for running it. This has my first AL game. Are the factions beneficial? Unless I'm making a huge mistake, factionless is fine. Raina was great I vote she can have the wand.

Kairon slips into the chamber still pocketing some of the loose coin he found. How much did he get? "What do we have here" He says under his breath when he notices the scene.

Grimm's Story Insight: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Chuckling a little at the guard captain's play. Kai senses Yarroth's design to let Grimm implicate himself, and decides to remain quiet for now but does notice the sack of coin that the guard hesitated to grab.

"I'm going to assume that our young Lord Sokol was one of the casualties here. What about our Guard Captain. We still have not located the reason for the disruption of light in the tower. " Kairon reports as he wanders around the room picking up coins. "Perhaps a short rest is in order while we figure out our next move. "

Kai will pick up whatever coin he can. The altar is probably best left alone. He will however go for his cut if someone else tries for it though.

Seeing the effect of his previous blast and sensing the end of the battle Kairon could feel his pulse quickening. Wanting to have the final blow of the fight he propels another blast. Hoping for a similar effect as the last strike.

Taking a second to make sure his components had not been compromised, Kairon frustratedly tries to launch another blast on energy.

Kairon moves closer to the water and tries to shake off the performance of his past few seconds. "Keep that up And we won't make it to see tomorrow. Come on Kai! Step it up" He thinks to himself as he prepares another Eldritch Blast to release.

After the move Kairon will attack the closest enemy, be it skeleton zombie or ghoul.

I believe I was only hit once and would still be consious. My ac is 14 so a 10 would miss. With Raina's heal I will be full HPs again.

To Raina back on the couch. "Cormanthor, we helped reclaim the lost city of Myth Drannor." Just as it seemed like he was going to elaborate into an interesting story Ceidith squeezes out of the hole and draws Kairons attention back to the present. "Oh our scout has returned. We shall continue this story another time. Perhaps over some wine. But for now We should focus on the task at hand. "

As he looks curiously over the journal himself, Kairon nods in agreement with the conclusions that been brought forth already.

Returning Ander's stare with a wry smirk Kairon says "Well, as Raina mentioned, most ghosts I've encountered have been rather aggressive. I just bring it up to point out that we seem to be following this apparition around blindly. Let's just be careful that she doesn't lead us into a trap. As an example, our scout has been in that hole a long time, should we be concerned?"

This may seem an odd question, but what is House Sokol known for that they have an administration building? If its a dumb question, sorry my knowledge of the Realms is not very broad.

Kairon leaves the the money on the table for his food and drink. Picks up his back pack, downs the rest of his cider, and grabs the food bowl. As he's walking toward the door he looks to the barmaid and says with a wink "No worries dear, I'll bring the bowl back just to be able to see you again." Still eating his food, he walks by Yarroth and nods.

"Now how can I try anything but a cider after our new friends endorsement." Kairon nods at the bartender in a "make it so" kind of way and puts a gold piece on the table. "Something for it to wash down as well." if an average meal is more than a gold piece adjust what was put on the table accordingly that it would be plenty.

While he waits, Kairon tries to non chalantly listen to the conversation of the two female mercenaries and the two men talking in hushed tones.

A tall half elf with black hair and pale skin walks through the door. His hair pulled back away from his face, he looks around the room confidently seeming to note the location of everyone in room. His gaze lingering slightly on the barmaid and lady mercenaries.

Wearing a dark leather tunic over a fine set of clothes, the elf is carrying a backpack with a crossbow hung from it and a dagger is sheathed at his side. He walks to a barstool puts his backpack down at his feat and takes a seat, seaming somewhat weary from travel.

wasn't sure on how much starting money I would have so I kept it real basic. I can fill in additional information.

Recent Backstory:
As the party walks into the tavern they notice a man leaning up against the bar with a cloth bandage wrapped around his head nursing a drink. He has brown hair that covers some of his face but what you can make of it has a few weak old beard sprouting from his cheeks. Hes of a slight build and looks as though he's been fighting a fire. His soot marred studded leather armor has seen road wear and the sword at his waste looks in need of some oil. Beside him you see a backpack with a shield and crossbow tied to it. It too has seen better days.

Harriston finds himself in an in drinking due to his latest foray into the country side. He had teamed up with a couple a couple of weeks previous when he came across some information on the location of a lost tome he'd been researching for the last few months. This tome could have given the Divine Academy great insight into the ancient building methods of the lost civilization of McGuffins.

Bron, a warrior (he thought) and Irasibeth, a wizard, had agreed to come with him when he found the two of them in the area looking for the same ruins he was searching for. The three made a good team and Harriston felt they were truly bonding. He even thought Irasibeth and him had “something.” Well to make a long story short, they found the ruins they were looking for and delved in to find treasures and more importantly the tome of lost knowledge. It took some time but after a few skirmishes with goblins, disarming a few intricate traps, and a tangle with a mimic in the form of a bookcase, they located the ancient hidden library. It was then that the true colors of his companions came through. Come to find out after a little monologueing that they were zealots belonging to the Church of Twilight (an evil church bent on bringing around the end of civilization as we know it) and they were glad that I could help them find this ancient library they were searching for.

Harriston tried to fight, he wounded the wizard but the two of them were too much for him and the paladin gave him a nasty blow to the head. They tied him up and he was surprised when Bron was able to heal Irasibeth. Some sort of paladin he must have been and Harriston missed it comepletely. They ransacked the library around him and when they were done and had taken all they wanted they seemed to find amusement in setting the place ablaze with him still tied to a chain in the library. The last thing he remembers of them is Irasibeth saying “Farewell young cleric, you will die with all the knowledge you sought.” Then the secret door to the library closed, leaving Harriston to burn with the bookshelves and remaining books. Harriston managed in the nick of time to break free from his bonds. He was inhaling a lot of smoke when he reached the secret door. He couldn't see due to smoke filled tears blurring his eyes but managed to find the door release and fell out of the library. Closing the door behind him, gasping for fresh air, he collapsed hoping he'd done enough to keep him from burning up himself.

When he woke up some undetermined amount of time later, he pulled himself up and headed back to town. He hasn't prayed for new spells in a few days and is just happy that he made it back to civilization and to a nice deep mug of ale.
