![]() Hajar: Spoiler: Most of it is listed in Jarva's backstory in the profile. Jarva is searching for his brother, Waltor. They were kidnapped by a grouping of gnolls and separated. After that time, he has developed an intense hatred fro the gnolls, that combined with looking for clues as to the whereabouts of his brother, launch him forward into conflict with the Carrion King, and contribute to his concern for the local area. I've never considered him a really devout follower of any particular god. Obviously with the weather domain, he has some reverence for Gozreh, and he has been known to say a prayer to the Dawnflower every now and again, but I don't see him as a strict follower of any of the pantheon. ![]()
![]() This is Jarva, a character I played in a LoF game a couple years ago here on the boards. I loved him and the AP. He is currently level three, and based on a 20 point buy. If the group were interested, I would happily advance him in level and knock him down to a 15 point buy. I am an active player here on the boards. I think I now have around 17k posts, almost all of them here in the PbP forums. I am a daily poster at minimum and shoot for 2-3 posts a day when possible. I'd be willing to make any adjustments the party recommends. PM me with any questions, comments, or recommendations. Thanks for the consideration. ![]()
![]() DM, here is a Druid that made it to level three in a LoF campaign. I am good at not metagaming, if you'd consider me. If selected, I'd change him back to first level. Appearance and backstory are under appropriate spoiler tags in my alias. I'd be happy to answer any questions. Thanks for the consideration. ![]()
![]() Not sure who is up right now, but Jarva wants to wait until the big fella gets into the room before he moves up to attack. If its Jarva's turn now, he will pull an animal from the bag of tricks and send it into the fray as it might help with flanking, even if it probably won't beat the demon's DR. If not, Jarva will try to move up and attack the demon once it moves into the mill. ![]()
![]() During the minute, Jarva will cast Barksin, get his weapon juiced from Bahiyy, and take a position at R 10. Getting into position, he will ready an action to cast Entangle when the door is opened, trying to get all the baddies in the radius of it, at somewhere near B12, to get all of them in the 40' burst. ![]()
![]() "That sounds good to me, Brebork, if you are sure you want to draw the creature out. I imagine his gore will be strong. I can always attempt to have the sands tangle him and sow his movement while we pick him off, as well, if we can damage him. No matter our strategy, I say we take him on first thing in the morning, when we are the strongest." ![]()
![]() After the meeting breaks up, and the group has some time to confer about the plan for tomorrow, Jarva makes sure to discuss his plan for tactics. "I have been thinking about tomorrow. I still am troubled about how to best the demon. I don't know how much help I can be against it. However, I think I have a spell that might be successful versus the boar. If we get lucky, it will hold him in place, while we can pick him off quickly at range. Hold Animal I also think I have a plan for the gnolls in the gatehouse, in a worst case scenario. I can cast a cloud to obscure their vision while we finish up with the demon or the animal and escape, or finish up and take them out as well. Fog Cloud" ![]()

![]() "Our plan for tomorrow morning involves attempting to deal with the boar and the demon, in whichever order it occurs. After that, we hope to begin picking the remaining gnolls off, along with their monstrous allies." Jarva did not mention the harpy at this juncture, thinking the Princess might be in a more willing mood to cooperate once the village proper is cleared. ![]()
![]() "Eli, if you think Brebork can help us with the demon, I suggest we go back to the camp now and seek his advice. Tomorrow we must come back and kill the demon, and deal with the boar. We can then meet wtih the harpy, and decide how to take the market. I don't want to hang around here and chance being found by the demon." The druid was slightly unnerved by the thought of the demon. He had fought numerous humanoids and beasts, but a demon was a different story. It woudl require much more finessing. ![]()
![]() Oh $%*&, that's not good. "Um, guys, trouble... The demon is moving our way fast. I think he is on to us. Get ready now, if you need to do any preparations. Maybe we could put chokepoint him, trying to come into the mill, and we can all attack him?" Jarva prepares to pull an animal from his magical bag as soon as the demon enters the mill. ![]()
![]() "I think we might be able to tell our boss that you could make a fine protector for the settlers that would be sure to reclaim the village. One of your capabilities would no doubt be a big help to the town, if you were willing to assist," Jarva says, trying to play to her vainful side, while making mental note to make sure the group knows a close eye would have to be kept on her to make sure the terms were followed. ![]()
![]() Great job, guys. DM, did we get the exp for the peryton? I didn't write it down. Nice,Quzman. Saves us the trouble of having to try and separate the head. Do we want to try and get this back to the lady now? Might be a good idea, to at least see what sort of advice she can give us. If she tries something to double cross us, we can deal with her now, sooner than later. If not, hey, we might have made a friend. A strange friend, of course..." ![]()
![]() Assuming positions don't change before Jarva's action... The druid continues the onslaught against the huge snake. Swinging away, he briefly thinks about how much easier this would have been had the beast been charmed by his magic. Attack with flank 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
![]()
![]() Perception One 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Using the light provided by the mage, the druid can easily make out a cauldron full of body parts. Interestingly, there was even some gnoll limbs in the stew. Jarva looked upwards to see the origin of the voice that was speaking to the squad. "Could you come down here to talk to us? We can't see you all the way up there."
