Starting to get curious if feather fall spells will be in this. Seems like reducing fall damage somehow would be pretty useful at some of the elevation changes. Good for surprise attacks around choke points. Heck, H seems like you could drop right into it, perhaps.

Great update!

Among other things, I just noticed the importance this gives to food, meals, inns and cooking. It seems to be the only real way to regain Power while out and about, making good meals a cornerstone of longterm exploration and combat. Especially for casters.

Can't you still just be sponsored by one of the NPC settlements? What's the limitation to that?

Kentucky.
We have, uh, horses. And coal.

How exactly does Goblinworks quantify fun? Can this new unit of measurement be patented or something and made available to the academic community?

I suppose we should name it the Dancey?

Set staring at dry paint at 0.01 Danceys, and Pong at 1.0 Danceys, and go from there, where PFO is 1.21 GigaDanceys! At least, with the new hex system.

One things worries me about Fort Inevitable; their support of slavery. Fort Inevitable resides within the River Kingdoms. The River Kingdoms only have six laws, and one of them is against slavery.

The town probably operates under the radar of Daggermark and Pitax, but it's only a matter of time before someone gets wise, and it will probably be bad times for the fort.

That's covered in the blog.

Quote:
Slavery is highly unpopular in the River Kingdoms, to say the least. In fact, the River Laws specifically ban the practice. However, the Hellknights don't particularly care about the River Laws, and no one who does care has yet confronted Fort Inevitable over the issue—the Hellknight position in the Crusader Road is quite strong, and unless a regional power such as Daggermark or Tymon takes up the cause, nothing is likely to be done anytime soon.

Worse case scenario if they can keep growing, can we LOSE PFO?

Could petty infighting stop player kingdoms from seeing the larger threat, and have the whole of the Crusader Road run over with orcs or demons or what have you?

Probably not, though it's kind of funny to think about.

All create undead spells have the [Evil] Subtype.

Not all necromancy spells make undead, but people typically refer to making undead when they state necromancy, even if they isn't technically accurate within Pathfinder.

In a recent blog they've told us that we don't "queue" skills, we gain XP which we spend on training at training halls.
As they occurs automatically offline or not, a sub can not "lose" training time.

At least, to my knowledge.

I believe the intention, Bludd, is for crafters and harvesters to be separate, and are even separate archetypes (Commoner for harvesting, expert for crafting). I guess after maxing one they could do the other, but if they ARE full archetypes as suggested, it would take 2.5 years each.

I'll admit, I'll bet it'd be a lot shorter if you only focus on one type of crafting, which probably could be done in only months.

Khaiden, since all goods in the game past the most noob stuff to start the game off will be player made, I think it's fair to say players are the ONLY driving force of the economy.

I'm failing to see how the reputation system will unduly injure legitimate evil and chaotic players.

They can be?
A character doesn't have to be religious in Pathfinder, nor does that choice affect their alignment. Choosing to follow one would most likely affect it, but only in so far as following the teachings of a LG deity typically make you LG (or one step away, at least, following cleric rules. If you're two steps away, you're probably not following the teachings well enough to actually get the attention of your divine patron).

As a side example, a follower of one deity knows of the others, but chooses not to worship them or follow their teachings. Are they crazy?

Well, Escalated Hexes should certainly not grow H.A.P.P.Y.

Lots of good and evil talk.

Honestly, it's some people don't even CARE about the endless wars of Law versus Chaos, man. It's an axis to you know!

It's not D&D without a Vorpal blade.

Nihimon, what do your elf eyes see?

Also, a true elven wizard could simply make a spell to give themselves a beard, clearly.

Don't worry, old wizards have beards to mostly solve that issue.

You're not a REAL super wizard until your beard touches the ground.

The only advantage is time, technically speaking.
I'm more happy about Destiny's Twin for the RP/flavor of each, since I can't rightly be two alignments at once.

Still, since you can take your crafter, and just start learning warrior skills at no penalty later on if decide crafting's not for you, I don't doubt we'll see it happen plenty, especially since most folks won't want to pay the extra cash to fund an alt (which could be upwards of a second subscription, you know).

Sure, you can buy with ingame gold, but who knows what the cost might be, even presuming market fluctuation. It might end up only in the hands of the rather wealthy, for all we know.

Wait, isn't there a feat that handles this anyways?
Master Craftsman
Well, Master Craftsman allows for some ways to bypass it, at least.

I don't think it's a piece of junk, it's a safety net to prevent people losing money on an idea, where if they don't get enough money it can't happen.

Even the types that would give it back, it'd be a lot of hassle.
Kickstarter is great for what it's for. This, well, might just not be it.

I agree, succeed or fail actually, they should make their own site and continue to take pledges. I want into EE.

If it does fail, I'd certainly support them again if they try again. My finances might actually be better in the coming month, so I could support some more, personally.

If they did, I would like to see them clean up the main page a bit, organize all the reward levels and add ons, maybe try to explain the game a bit better on Kickstarter and abroad.

I still think if we get the word out better, this KS or any future one will make it, with how close we are.

I certainly don't see how it'd be construed as backing a "lost cause", since you don't lose a dime if it doesn't happen.

I suspect we'll see at least parts of all the core classes at start. Since training up would take a while, it may be that they're not fully fleshed skill tree wise, but I assume we'll have all the basics.

Here's hoping the other base classes make it in soon enough though, probably after release. I do like Alchemists, and it fits so well with crafters.

Er, none of that information was withheld, that's all been common knowledge for a while now. And is on the Kickstarter page. They certainly haven't been lying.

Goblin Squad Member

Well, that sounds alright.
I myself already tend to base my character appearances based on who they are, but any more options to have them look based on what they do would be cool too.

Oh man, now I so want the ability to forge golems. Maybe a way for crafters to fight? Haha.
Probably not too strong, lest you unite all the crafers to forge an invincible army of iron soldiers.

If we do have these multiple ways to get minions (Taming, building, necromancy, leadership, summoning), be nice if they also had utility versions of some sort too, perhaps. If only so the evil kingdoms can run mines with zombie workers.
