He shows off a little, dancing around between his companions as they carefully pick their way through. Heedless of what he is doing, at some point he pumps his head on a low part of the ceiling. This brings him to his senses, and he asks

Irizzle always enjoyed talking to new people, though for some reason they always reacted poorly to his efforts at communication. Point of fact, he realised as he mused on this, it had not been until this particular group, and Meila in particular, that he had met anyone who seemed to understand him, and even participate in the grand joke that was life in the way he perceived it.

This was a new experience for him. Never before had he met people who took his eccentricities in stride. He was not yet sure how he felt about it, as he had always enjoyed the discomfort most people felt at his strange mannerisms, yet there was something to this newfound acceptance.

Somewhat wary of the new acquaintances, Irizzle strolled over to Keth and his hound, shielding preparation of his weapon from view just in case, asking Keth, ”So Keth, how did you come to meet this fine creature?”

Irizzle’s eyes light up when he hears Keith’s question, and he launches into an explanation, heedless of Sron’s more cautious tone.

”Yes, no magic, just the wonders of alchemy!” he fishes out his powder horn, and uses it to load his gun while he explains.

”This astounding substance, gunpowder, possesses a magnificent amount of explosivity in such a tiny package! So we load it in here, and by containing the pressure within this tube when it ignites, we can force an object out the other end at great speed - faster than the greatest bow or crossbow could hope to achieve! Bullets! I’ve even been able to miniaturise some of my alchemical bombs to be carried as a payload within a bullet, though I’m still getting the hang of that part, it only tends to work a few times a day?”

He looks around to see what interest the rest of you show in this moment, his face full of glee.

“So I stole it! And set out on a wonderful adventure! Haha! Of course, I can never go back now, but I find I much prefer it out here anyway. The Kellie’s don’t look to put on airs and look down their noses at you, and I find the desert air quite bracing. Plus, just look at all of the things we have already discovered just this day! Irizzle is broken out of his reverie over the fallen creature by the discussion on Sgrack's blindness.

"Hmm, perhaps if friend Sgrack's predicament is more permanent, we may be able to make our way back to Joram for some helpful clericment? Is anyone proficient in the healing arts, that might be able to diagnose the duration of Sgrack's unvisionment?"

Irizzle is unfazed, and finds the creature fascinating. He pulls out a sketchbook, draws up a quick sketch and makes some notes.

"Fascinating, yes, I simply must look further into this creature upon our return. That blinding light effect may be replicable?"

Hmm, this sounds good, and I have a concept in mind I think would be interesting to explore. This Alias is the only one I’ve had a chance to be active with, and the character is more than a little odd, which my conceptual character (a naive, young wizard, fresh out of University with more enthusiasm than common sense) would be quite different from.

It would most likely take me a couple of days to put a fuller submission together.

Irizzle immediately rushes to the remains of the slime creatures, and busts out some test tubes, scraping their remains into the vials.

HE has his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth as he does this.

Irizzle steps back to give himself some room, and takes aim at one of the creatures, adding a little alchemical goodness to the shot.

if that hits, damage (first d6 will be normal damage, next d6+3 fire):

So if it hits it will be 4 Bludgeoning damage and 4 fire.

[rant]I'm probably a bit more frustrated by this than I should be, but is there any reason Sgrack decided to jump 3 spots in initiative, including an enemy?

When I went to bed last night, I checked Roll20 and saw a perfect 15ft cone shot lined up for Irizzle to make his grand entrance combat wise to potentially hit all 3 bugs(having not even managed to sight an enemy the first time round), but it was still Meila's turn, and had been so for less than half a day, so I decide to go to bed and post in the morning.

I wake up to find Sgrack has just jumped on in, and I feel like it robbed Irizzle of a moment to show what he can do beyond saying weird things and being annoying.[/rant]

Note: This is just venting some frustration - I don't want or expect anything to be changed.

Doing Irizzle's turn now - I see that Meila had her turn while I was writing this.

Irizzle figures they were being used for smuggling or other criminal purposes, and has no problem with this given what passes for “law” in Numeria.
