Graves:
"What am I supposed to do, put every copper I've earned in the last FIVE YEARS right back in? Imagine working your tail off for five years just for the privilege of buying back one-fifth of what I used to have. This is ridiculous!"

She stares at you expectantly for a brief moment, hoping for a different answer. When none appears, she slowly calms down...slighty.

"I don't have any other choice do I? Either I put in everything I've got...or I walk away with nothing. Well, I am NOT about to accept the latter. If you'll excuse me, I have some significant assets to liquidate in a very short time."

She walks away, still visibly irate. You sense you've pushed her far enough.

+1 Influence Irith->P_Burg

Graves:
"That is true, I do handle many contracts in the course of running my extensive mercantile business. It is not what I would call 'a good time' though. But wizards are weird, I guess. Cyran is extraordinarily intelligent, there's some comfort in the fact he has some shortcomings, like hosting parties.

But anyway, thank you for noticing the effort I have put in. It's nice to be recognized for all that I have done. Alabastrine has become more than just a business prospect, but rather a significant part of my life. I'm excited to continue what I have started and see how much more important the city can grow."

sense motive: While she seems bored with the current event, she is putting on a good face for appearances. You also detect that she is assuming she is going to win Prophets Burg, as-is. With everything you have learned about Myrosype you feel Irith is underestimating things. Another push is needed to make her accept the reality that she needs to commit more funds to win.

"I think that's just...sweat. Gross." Her booming voice echoes throughout the chamber, "Cyran, why have you brought us all...HERE??"

Katswiri:
Irith
takes great pride in what she’s accomplished while
governing Alabastrine. A PC who applauds her previous
efforts as lord-councilor gains a +4 bonus on a single
influence attempt against her.

Kaepora,Katswiri:
"I thought that was exactly what I was doing. The other bidders are more determined than I would like. I may need to 'flex' a little more. I need some time to consider how I am going to accomplish that."

+1 Influence, Irith->P_Burg

Katswiri:
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Katswiri. I worked hard to present exquisite foods from all over Golarion. A sample of the variety of trade that flows through Alabastrine. I tried to present numerous fine dishes, but I must admit, the chuul tentacles are my favorite. I'm pleased you can appreciate them, and the chef I hired to cook them especially well, to draw out every last drop of sensation."

Jon and Kaepora both manage to consume the tentacle dish without any visible mishap. Irith is impressed. +2 to Influence Irith

the penalty is only on 'Influence' checks, but you're fine regardless

Irith notices Graves chewing on the tentacles and is impressed by his grace. ;)

+2 circ bonus on Influence vs Irith for the rest of the scenario.

One of Irith’s most unusual
offerings is a plate of poached chuul tentacles. Even
after cooking, these tentacles contain a minor amount
of paralytic venom. If eaten correctly, the poison is only
enough to provide strange sensations on the inside of
the mouth as a part of the dining experience. However,
a PC who does not eat the tentacles correctly risks losing
the ability to talk without slurring her words for several
minutes in an unseemly display of inexperience.

You may use Profession(cook) or Knowledge(Nobility)
to attempt to eat the tentacles correctly. Or just try to
grin n bear it with a Fortitude save.

Graves:
"You're right. I need to focus my efforts more on controlling the Burg so I can keep on top of the administration. Thank you for the conversation, I must take my leave now, and go speak with Hegio."

(with a circumstance bonus for good RP) that will earn +1 Influence, Irith->ProphetsBurg.

Graves:
"Petronax, Myrosype,...they're all the same. I've poured my heart and soul into making Alabastrine great again. And now that it might finally be worth something, the rats come out of the woodwork. Like a pack of hyenas they all want a piece of what's MINE."

She settles down a bit, but not before you can sense her attachment to the city: She hates being reminded of what she's losing. With a bit of encouragement you think she'll pour everything she has into keeping a piece of it. She's scared that she doesn't have enough for even one district. But if your plans work, Myrosype might be spread thin enough for Irith to win one.

She takes a breath before continuing, "Well, as they say, volatility creates profit potential for those smart enough to use it. Guess I'd better get smart enough. As you say, Prophet's Burg is my best chance to continue guiding the direction of Alabastrine. I certainly don't intend to just give up on everything I have started."

Graves:
Irith has a large tiger's head perched over her own, a thin veil over her face blends with the regal white robes she wears. This gives the impression of a 7ft tall tiger-humanoid. You notice she is wearing paw-mittens, but they are on backwards?

DC20 Planes/Nature:

Spoiler:
Native outsiders known as Rakshasa typically have animal heads and disfigured limbs that bend backwards. They are also quite tall.

"Mr. Graves, a pleasure to meet you." She nods...the tiger's head confounding her normal poise for a split second. "Ugh, I must agree. This costume party is ridiculous. No doubt Petronax is up to something foolish. But who knows what with that decrepit scoundrel."

Jon:
"Previously?!?...I'll have you know, I am *STILL* Lord-Councilor of Alabtrine at the moment." As she storms off you hear her muttering, "...this ain't over...yet..."

Shi:
Irith politely discusses academic trade skills with you, but you notice her eyes kinda glass over with a distant stare.

Jon:
Oh hello. I don't believe we've met before? You seem to know who I am. I feel I'm at a disadvantage that I can't say the same of you. But, as I've been in control of Alabastrine for the past five years I can say it's not as glamorous as it might appear. Things have taken significantly more effort than I ever imagined. I doubt some of these other bidders are truly prepared.

Irith Nomazamo is a tall Garundi woman, bedecked
in white robes and a gem-studded cloth of gold mantle. Her
robes are augmented with numerous spiked embellishments
that make physical contact with the lord-councilor difficult.
She speaks in a constant deep timbre, always making eye
contact with her prominent jade-colored eyes.

GM.K(Noble):

Kat: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
MrG: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18(* Insp)
Graves:
You recognize her as the current lord-councilor of Alabastrine:
Spoiler:
Irith is the current lord-councilor of Alabastrine.
She secured the majority of the city during the previous
bidding cycle at the expense of her other mercantile
endeavors. Time was not kind to Irith, and the fortune
of Alabastrine is only now beginning to change, given
increased trade with Isger and the ongoing civil problems in
nearby Cheliax.
