Illidan, Huntarr, Nihil, Constantine:

The world turns upside down on you and all but Huntarr are not able to keep his balance. The servitors moving toward you to finish you off look old and decaying but still fully functional. They do not carry any weapons but they look to be strong and even their bare fists may hurt a lot.

Auraxis:

As the woman moves along is when the bells ring and chaos breaks loose a bit in the room.

Illidan, Huntarr, Constantine and Nihil:

"As the last chime sounds, you hear a monstrous whirring and clanking of machinery in the walls all around you. Then the corridor shakes like dice in a cup and is flipped upside down., dropping you from what is now the ceiling to the floor. The ends of the passage you were in disappear to be replaced by dark, rusted metal doors. With a final clank of gears, the metal doors grind open, and from the darkness beyond come scuttling servitors, their flesh dead and grey, their brass weapon limbs clicking like hungry jaws."

Please make Difficult -10 Agility or Acrobatics Tests or be thrown prone. There are 8 combat servitors coming toward the 4 of you please roll initiative.

Servitor 71d10 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Servitor 91d10 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Order of movement i'm seeing is Illidan, Huntarr, Constantine and Nihil in these passages. Auraxis is outside watching the door.

After some time traveling through the tunnels you are able to make out some parts of it based on the map and some parts not. The maps you have are partial and burnt nothing complete.

Time passes and the tunnels are long and takes some time to navigate them when the 10th Hour strikes!

"The Deafening chimes fill the air, and every wall and surface vibrates to their note; the crystal of glasses sings, and dust rises from the relics of Gabriel Chase. It is as if the manse itself is producing the chimes, and as the 10th and final note fades, a sound like the winding of a thousand cogged mechanisms comes from the walls and then abruptly ceases. Those who look out at the sky see that a dark bite has been taken from the sun."

Auraxis and Ann:

One nobel near you two falls to the ground and begins to spasm uncontrollably, coughing up blood only to die a few moments later and then a woman screams her husband is missing from beside her.

Illidan Huntarr Constantine Nihil - See post below this spoil is busted:

Auraxis:

The noble woman that Illidan was talking with a bit ago returns with some old school candles and looks at you and the wall.

"Where did that nice gentleman go? Did he go in already? he said he would wait for me! Will you take me in! I want to see what's in there maybe some old Haarlock jewelry to add to the collection."

She seems to want to keep on going on and on and on. What do you want to do?

25xp for the week.

Exp to Spend:
Nihil - 200
Auraxis - 175
Illidan - 75
Huntarr - 275
Lou - 175

Ann Onimous:

You see Auraxis watching the wall that a few of them appeared to have gone into through. Obviously a secret passage. Will be impossible to get past Auraxis.

Just so i'm clear. Illidan, Huntarr, Constantine and Nihil are inside the secret passage and Auraxis is hanging outside the door keeping watch? Illidan only one being stealthy moving up ahead of everyone? Constantine is keeping an eye on the Noble and staying close to him wherever he goes since he's new.

Ann Onimous:

Do a shadowing roll please.

The markings are not so much symbols but just creases and depressions in the wall you can press that activate the door to open. Inside the open door there is a mechanism to close it as well. The hallways beyond the door are dark with no light so auspex or some other light source will be required.

Ann Onimous:

The 3 you were watching move off and it appears they are looking for something.

Illidan:

With the power of the warp you are able to discern a strange marking in one of the walls and after further examination are able to determine how it works and a trap door into a dark passageway. It took you about 30 minutes to find this spot after traveling with the woman and bsing your way around with her but you found one of the spots.

The woman looks a bit in awe as you find the passage and moves closer to you. "Do you want to go in?"

In the center of this building is the Theatre of Clocks where the ringing came from when the 9th Hour rang. This great circular atrium is the ballroom to this manse. It rises all through all 3 levels of this building. The floor is white marble, but it's center is dominated by a device of a multi-rayed black sun inlaid in brass and granite. Every inch of the walls are covered with ticking cocks and time pieces of every conceivable shape, size and design, their mechanisms exposed like the insides of a patient on surgeon's table. Each clock tells a different time-the times of the thousand worlds visited by teh Haarlocks.

In the center of the Theatre is the legendary Steel Clock, a six meter high column of whirling clockwork, lever arms, scything blades, and turning cogs made of glittering steel at the heart of which swings a great pendulum weighted by a curiously cut coal-like stone of iridescent mineral the size of a large fist.

The Theatre of Clocks seems to host the most powerful guests and their entourages where some seem to be engaging in displays of martial prowess, dancing, music and above all, posturing and gossip.

The dataslate handed to Nihil contains some half burn images that appear to be secret passages somewhere as well as information that has been acquired in their investigations.

There is information regarding the House Melua and a picture of the missing brother as well as some general information about the Widower and it's connection somehow to the steel clock.

It also has information about the Pilgrims of Hayte and their connection to this whole thing about bringing the doom to this planet and possibly the sector using the Haarlock bloodline and the widower.

Illidan:

Make a search check at -10 to look for these secret passages.

Nihil Dragorus Cherub

A little cherub flies down and hovers behind Nihil Dragorus. It's deformed face has a slight smirk as the buzzing sounds of the mechanics allowing it to fly crank.

Ann Onimous:

It's not that hard. The Cleric is very loud. Also it's not Auraxis up there it's Huntarr got confused.

Ann Onimous:

You see the giant of a man Arbite with a scary looking man in red robes at a table with a fancy dressed man talking. The Arbite you recognize as one of the men you escaped the cages with the other two you do not.

oh yeah and all fate points returned after act 2.

Illidan:

You learn exactly what Nihil Dragorus told Constantine and Huntarr upstairs from a random Noble.

Oh i'm giving everyone an extra 150xp for completing Act 2 including you Nihil so your not to far behind.

Exp to Spend:
Nihil - 175
Auraxis - 150
Illidan - 250
Huntarr - 250
Lou - 150

Auraxis is also Nobel althought he doesn't look like one right now :)

Auraxis, Illidan, Constantine, Huntarr:

The four of you see a man in a ebony corvus mask dressed in the finest of cloths motion for you guys to follow him as if he has something to tell you after the little incident takes place during the bells ringing.

Auraxis:

Sent you updated sheet. You got 3 clips of manstoppers and 4 infernos for your shotty. The infero's have chance to set people on fire if they don't make agility test.

Illidan:

you get a mask easily as i posted above :)

At the striking of the final note of the 9th hour you see and hear occur among the guests.

"A noble, masked in chased gold and crowned with green feathers, thrusts out his hand, pointing at another guest. The crowd around him shrinks back from the gesture as he shouts: ‘You hear that? You hear that you scum? The hour of the Revel approaches, and with it, your vile little existence ticks to an end.’ Drawing and activating a power blade to emphasise his point, the golden masked noble points it at the guest. ‘Three, short, pitiful hours more will you draw breath.’"

Nihil Dragorus:

You see a group of people enter the manse that look out of place a bit. They appears to be dressed as guards but they accompany no nobel. Some of them appear to even have dried blood on them. You probably chatting with some other nobel on the first level when they enter.

It's pretty easy for you to get a mask here as there may be some lying on the ground or you can do what Constantine did and take one from soneone. You all still look a bit out of place. Most of the people here are nobels except for their guards who all appear to be well armed. Most of you are still dirty or covered in blood except for your new armor that you may have bought.

Assuming your all going to the Estate in the center.

The manse is circular and rises in three colonnaded tiers to a great crystal dome that apes the dome that contains the city of Xicarph, which the manse sits at the centre of. Its main entrance is via a set of silver doors that are reached by a great spill of broad steps.

As you enter everywhere there are the signs of the power and wealth of the Haarlock line. The house is imposing, grandiose, sterile, and above all old, with a brooding sinister air and a décor that is off—kilter somehow, with familiar symbols of the Imperium, such as saints and Aquila, rendered somehow just off from the norm enough to trouble the eye.

There must be a thousand plus guests here and the majority of them are in the manse.

At the centre of the manse is the Theatre of Clock. This great circular atrium, the Theatre of Clocks, is the entrance hall into the rest of the manse and is also its ballroom and one of the strangest places in the Calixis Sector. The Theatre of Clocks rises through all three floors of the manse to the crystal dome that sits at the top of the manse. The floor itself is white marble, but its centre is dominated by a device of a multi-rayed black sun inlaid in brass and granite. Every inch of the walls are covered with ticking clocks and time pieces of every conceivable shape, size, and design, their mechanisms exposed like the insides of a patient on a surgeon’s table. Each clock tells a different time-the times of the thousand worlds visited by the Haarlocks. Double doors of black wood lead away from the Theatre of Clocks into the curving corridors and spiral staircases that access the rest of the manse.

Nine dolorous notes ring out from somewhere beneath the ground, like the slow beating of a vast metal heart. Those outside can see the body that will obscure the sun as a shadow approaching across the clear blue sky. A sense of delight and anticipation runs through the guests; the Grand Conjunction is but three hours away, and approaching with ever more eager feet.

Done! good call :)

200xp from the escape from red cages package you got.

You all notice as people make their way to the estate they all start to put masks on just like the rest of the city did during the festivals.

Auraxis:

You got 100 thrones for selling your crap, i kept the axe just in case and bought standard ammo. Your left with 357 thrones. Sent you updated sheet in email. If you want other type of ammo let me know before we end up in combat other ammo isn't to expensive like man stoppers 5 thrones for 6 bullets can be used your in stub and inferno shells are 18 thrones for 1 shell can be used in your shotgun.

99% of the guests who are going in head right to the main estate you do see a few people head into the gardens mostly male/female partners probably going to do something obvious.

When you present the sentries with the invitation they press the seal on the invitation to a hand held device of tarnished brass. The device projects a holographic cone of light into the air that fills with rotating numbers and symbols. The sentry nods and you are allowed to enter.

Gabriel chase is vast! The entire compound is a giant garden of lush lavish flowers and bushes.

The estate of Gabriel Chase is the largest in Xicarph and sits directl beneath the apex of the dome that contains the pleasure city. The estate itself is also surrounded by a 12' wall covered with vines.

There are also other points of interest here at Gabriel Chase. The Stone Gardens and Tangle Domes.

The supply gate is not being utilized and is heavily guarded just like the main gate. There does not seem to be any lag periods in patrols. You do see a lot of nobels entering the building as long as they have tickets. Some are told to leave without proper tickets.

Gabriel Chase Estate
Gabriel Chase Layout

The Gabriel Chase Estate only has two gated entrances and only one of them is open right now both heavily guarded. The walls surrounding the compound are about 20' tall with sentry guns posted evenly about to watch every angle as listed above with heavy servitors that patrol the compound. This place is the property of House Haarlock probably the most rich and powerful Nobel Rogue Traders that ever lived in this sector.

The half burnt maps that you guys have do not seem to make sense from the outside of this place. Nothing matches up.

Auraxis:

Your carrying way to many weapons need to dump/sell some of it.

1x Hand Cannon
1x Pump action Shotgun
2x Stub Automatics
1x Sawnoff Scattergun
1x Axe

Assuming your selling your current armor your wearing?
For the guns you will be keeping just going for standard ammo or anything special? The Las only has 2 options for ammo regular or overcharged which is basically a 1 shot deal.

Once you reach the front of the crowd the guards look for your invitations. You notice discreet sentry guns embedded in recesses above the gate and in the upper part of the wall to either side. Two ornate and ancient gun servitors with heavy bolters and another two with lasscannons face the crowd of waiting guests from just outside the gate, while a pair of functionaries in sober black check the validity of each invitation.

This place seems to be almost impregnable. No way can be seen to get in besides the front door that lies before you where the guards are posted.

Illidan:

You don't have enough for all that.

2clips of man stoppers and 6 extra m.s. bullets - 66 bullets (55)
psy focus (100)
Micro beads x2 (40)
Data slate x2 (50)
Las cutter (65)

Selling the electric whip (95)

215 total cost after the sale and you only have 134 thrones yourself.

Once you guys are ready the Transport takes you to Gabriel Chase.

"Set in a high wall of black stone, gates of polished adamantine stand open, twinkling light in the morning sun. Around the edge of the gates’ vast mouth are inlaid symbols of the phases of sun and moon, with the simple dark circle of a moonless night above the apex of the gateway. Around the gate flock costumed figures in carriages or atop riding beasts held by jewelled halters. Around these exotic figures throng footmen, guards, and equerries in a kaleidoscope of liveries. Above the crowd hover raptors, their eyes plucked out and replaced by augmetics that scan the crowd jostling for entrance through the Lunar Gate."

Make Perception +20 checks

if you want to buy anything before going to gabriel chase make a merchant roll. 75% cost if you make it 100% if not. post in the Discussion thread what your buying your current thrones is listed there.

Remember she was here against her fathers wishes. Also I don't think you need to carry hard currency do you to purchase things?
