A kineticist gains a simple blast from her primary element at 1st level—some elements offer more than one option. When a kineticist gains a new element via the expanded element class feature, she gains a simple blast from that element as well. Each simple blast is either a physical blast or an energy blast. Physical blasts are ranged attacks that deal an amount of damage equal to 1d6+1 + the kineticist's Constitution modifier, increasing by 1d6+1 for every 2 kineticist levels beyond 1st. Spell resistance doesn't apply against physical blasts. Energy blasts are ranged touch attacks that deal an amount of damage equal to 1d6 + 1/2 the kineticist's Constitution modifier, increasing by 1d6 for every 2 kineticist levels beyond 1st.

Thanks I figured as much so DM is saying since it does bypass SR it will not by pass DR

Playing a Earth kineticist and was wondering does the Eath Blast have to overcome Spell Resistance since it is Physical? Just 1st level now but eventually this will come up and I could not find a answer on it anywhere any help would be appreciated

Do both discoveries have a little star next to them?

Force has a * by it but sticky does not this is what sticky bomb states

Benefit: The effects of the alchemist’s bombs are persistent and continue to damage creatures for 1 round after the initial damage. Creatures that take a direct hit from a sticky bomb take the splash damage 1 round later. Bombs that have effects that would normally occur 1 round later instead have those effects occur 2 rounds later.

I know it will work with elemental damages but does a force bomb stick also? anyone seen a faq or ruling on this. I know when I bring this up I am going to get a argument with my DM just trying to get some clarification.

Nothing wrong with my Bow I payed for it fair and square it is not cheese :) and it sure is not +13 more like +5 counting the undead bane that they so generously gave me. Plus Undead is a favored enemie I have +6 to hit and damage them no matter what I am using. May go to +8 when I get my next Favored enemie I see no cheese whatsoever :P
Besides cheese is good compared to Jacobian monsters that have all this crazy unholy toughness crap

Please leave the Half orc as is the wisdom increase is not book learning it is more common sense and intuition than anything else.

I vote leaving them with +2 wisdom and +2 str. I do not understand why everyone wants to pick on the orc.

Just to Clarify you are saying that if you go Fighter/Wizard or Sorcerer you should have the same DC as a single class wizard. Well if you put all your ability points into your main stat INT/Charisma then you would have the same DC for the same level spell.

I see no reason to give a Multiclasser a Boost to make him better than a single class. With that low DC you still have a Higher BAB to go along with it. I guess I never multiclass much so do not see a problem with giving up certain things for the versatility to cast spells.

What is the problem with multiclassing? could someone explain this to me. I see alot of people posting saying it should be fixed but I for one have never saw anything wrong with it.

Please cancel order #959294 and the Beta rules on order#914846 I am still buying them just found cheaper shipping on them from another book store.

I vote Cleric Orcs do not seem t me like they live in Harmony with Nature more like try to beat it into submission not the way a druid is IMHO.

All I get on My download page is the Alpha 2 it has not updated to the 3 yet???

I hate this new Rule if you Play Barbarian who Needs Con. Dex. Str. You can only get 2. For what? What kind of Magic items are going to Replace Gloves that can eventually give you +6 to stats. I really hate this Rule very much.

I really do not like this Rule since I tend to play alot of melee Characters and they need Con and Str or Dex depending on what Character. As usual the casters get it easy.

Items shipped via USPS Package Service take an estimated 3-10 business days to arrive usually, not including any possible postal delays. Today is business day 8, so your package should still arrive soon.

Day 11 and still no Order.

Thanks this will be real helpfull if I was not already a Subscriber this would really push my Decision.

I know it is still in alpha but is there any plan's to have a computer program like RPGexplorer have Data sets to make it easier to generate characters? I know you can key it in yourself but makes it alot easier if you can have the option to buy the dataset and use it sorta like etools was with code monkey. I know etools was not perfect but it did make it alot easier creating characters

Some of you people must be bad DM's to not allow your player's to use stuff that would actually help them. I guess you cannot overcome the player's actually useing something so instead you just take it away from them. I am so glad my DM is not this way and play's his Bad guy's to the best of there abilities and let's us use whatever we can and sometime's we still lose. Too each his own I guess Hope your group like's the way you Dictate the game to them.

I will take it easy lol. No hard feelings.
I used to play with a DM that kept our Character sheets and would give us what Proficiency(1stedition) he thought we deserved and not let us pick heck he had all the books. I enjoyed that game but I still would have liked to picked my own stuff. That is where I am coming from so that is where the Dictatorship thing came from.

Well I have played D&D off and on since 1981 or 82 kinda hard to remember back that far. I see where everyone is coming from there are multiple way's to play I remember when a +1 longsword was like getting a Holy Avenger because you did not see much magic. But the way monsters are designed now some you cannot even hit without a certain kind of weapon and we do not always have that certain weapon. And I would not mind playing under any DM as long as he was open minded.Everyone keeps saying your the DM change the rule to fit do not just change it without Discussing it with the player's That is all I was saying.
And I do understand having a background explains alot of your abilities and how you turned out in game to be what you are but it is not the end all be all of D&D. I would like to have the shiny magic sword too and since it is me who is investing his time as well as my DM and the group we all should get what we want like Joe said we are supposed to win but not always.
And please do not using magic makes it easier to win and you do not need tactics. I have had plenty of Characters killed in this group that was loaded with stuff and never even got a chance to use them. To farewell I was not even refering to you in my other other post it was another poster that got my blood boiling.
Sorry if I offended anyone it was not my intent I was just defending my group and the way we play.

I know different people play different ways and weapons does not make you a better Role-player. But knowing who my mother and father was and that they where murdered and I was left on the street does not give me any pluses to kill said monster.
I know everyone does not play this way but if there is a cool weapon we would like to try it out or prestige class our DM lets us try it out and then rules on it.
Thats all I was saying instead of saying this is my game I am taking it back like someone posted above it is not the DM's game it is the groups game and should be treated as such not be a dictatorship.
Anyway this has been fixed in our game and I like the fix makes it more inline with the Stunning fist feat which is as it should be seeing as they do almost the same thing anyway.

I just wanted to say I play In Joe's Group and I am glad. Because if I had to play with some of the people that Posted in this thread then I would never play D&D. I just cannot believe the way people just come up with the easy solution of saying it does not exist or you cannot have that. The game is supposed to be enjoyed by both the players and the DM if there are items that make you a better character you should have the chance to use them if it turns out to be overpowered then figure a way to use it and not make it overpowered. You should never just take it away if you are a good DM then you can find away to work it. Well that is my rant I will stop rambling.
