Ok. Read the basics and created a society-ID.
Characterwise, I was thinking about a Vlaka Mystic - maybe with a little "shamanistic" spin to it and built for melee and healing - who emigrated from Lajok and found a new home with the society. But as already mentioned: I can also find something else, if that wouldn't fit for some reason.

Alright, I'll dig into that. Thank you!

Would you like me to point out the rules for organized play specifically? They generally work the same as the core rules but with a few modifications for rewards as you earn money during adventures and gain favor with varying factions.

That would be really helpfull. Thank you very much! But you could also just point me to where I can read up on it myself.

Hello everyone,

I have been looking for a starfinder pbp game for a long time now. I have only played the system solo (with Mythic GME) so far, but I have quite some table-experience with D&D3.5/Pathfinder1E.

Would this be a game accessible for someone without "society-experience"? If so, I would definitely be interested. Daily posting is usually no problem! If that fits the team, I would tend towards a technomancer or mystic. But I'm rather flexible in that respect. I usually can find an intriguing idea for every role.

Malaxius Harvel will try to become a field researcher (I was thinking in the direction of Alien archaeologist, if that would fit)

STR: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
DEX: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
END: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 - 5
INT: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 - 5
EDU: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 - 5
SOC: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7

But obviously his background is a disadvantage he has to overcome on this path.

Hello everyone,

as already mentioned, I would go for a scholar. After playing around with some letters, I will be called: Malaxius Harvel. But all ooen for debate, if something doesn't fit the group.

Yipyip! Ready here as well!

Without any table experience with Traveller my expectations are a bit hazy. But I'd say I'm mostly there for the space travel and exploration part: finding strange new worlds and alien species, crew activities on the starship...
Nothing against modules. The only thing I don't like is when it gets too railroady and it's all just about finding the "solution that's in the book".

I was thinking the same thing. I'd probably aim for a scientist/scholar of some kind and then just take what the dice have to offer.

Just stumbled upon this and I'm very interested. Have been lurking around Traveller for years now, but never found a group with matching timetables. So if there is no prior experience with the game required and you have space for one more: count me in.
