Is the party specifically looking to fill the arcane slot? Also, how detailed of a character do you want? I can re-skin by tomorrow. Also, what is the posting rate?

I played in s Serpent's Skull game for most of the first book. Then the DM disappeared. I can separate player knowledge from character knowledge, of course.

Yes, which slot is being looked for? I can fill in whatever slot.

I decided instead to just post my basic Dracofolk. I am thinking a Fighter, Cleric, or Inquisitor. Though I could run a Wizard or Magus if a Arcane Caster is needed/wanted. Or I can throw out a Mogg (a Mouse-Like Fey Race) that can be a Wizard, Magus, or Sorcerer. Or I could even run a Gunslinger of either race if you want (and will allow it).

(Sorry while I like Paizo's Races I like playing Characters that are unlike anything available).

Curious as to why you bought low light vision when you also bought dark vision... Doesn't the latter cover the former, or am I mistaken?

No worries, Norv, I can deal with only two traits.

The trait I'd have to lose is one that gives me Knowledge (Local) as a class skill, unfortunately. I'm intending on making a Brawler from the playtest, but the class as it currently stands gets really weird Knowledge skills that don't really suit it as a class (History?...).

Well you know, Brawler's have to have something to fight over, why not make it History?

@HumanInDisguise: Not a bad idea, but missing a reason for them to specifically devote their time to the study of killing monsters.

Don't worry, I am sure I can come up with something. :p

Its not hard to give a character a reason to hate something. Just would have to have the thing it hates kill something it loves, but of course I can do better than that.

I have also thought of a monster hunter. That could be fun. Collects trinkets from kills as its trophy. Anyone can steal the idea. Would also be fun to play out. :)

Hey, odd question. But do we need to purchase things like bandanas, scarves, and tattoos during character creation?
I'm not entirely sure of the usual practice, but for me I would say no, assuming that they're purely cosmetic and not magical/utilitarian. So for example, a Shoanti would likely have tattoos he earned from his tribe, and a Varisian would have scarves because, well, Varisians like scarves. If you want a magical tattoo, or a pocketed/bladed scarf, though, you should purchase that.

If we are buying gear/equipment, what is our starting gold limit, or do we do the standard gold start?

All about making characters that mesh with the setting in a slightly odd way. I am thinking that I will be making a male human ranger with favored enemy either Evil or Lawful outsider. He would be an imp hunter.

"Imps are a common sight in the skies above Korvosa, often fighting with their natural enemies, the local pseudodragon population. These tiny devils are summoned by Acadamae students as part of their graduation requirements, but some are unable to fully bind them or otherwise lose control of them. The imps escape into the city where they form into small packs, looking for mischief. They are a particular nuisance in the roof-level Shingles, and often try to form alliances with gangs or other ne'er-do-wells."

As per the wiki it would appear that, to some, the imps would be a pest. All pests have someone working to exterminate them, and my character would specialize in just that. Probably make him an orphan who grew up in the streets, his little brother/sister went missing 2-3 years ago (will give the dm something to work with if he wants to incorporate it) and he wants to, eventually, become a member Sable Company.

He probably knows about Gaedren Lamm from a customer or someone he heard on the streets, and he want's to use this as an opportunity to gain fame and be allowed to join the elite hippogriff-riding school of the Endrin Military Academy, become a member of the Sable Company, and let his dream come true. That and make the world a better place.

I would be game, just have to refresh myself on the rules. Will work on a Character once you post more info.

There goes my afternoon!

Says Who?

Dotting, and I plan on submitting a character.

I am VERY interested in this. Now, I would like to mix it up and do something a little fun, if allowed, that is, if the interest check passes:

A Slyph Caster of some type or another. Sacrificing some combat ability feat wise with knowledge. Back story of being a librarian, researcher, or what not. Came upon magical ability by books that the Slyph studied and practiced in secret. The character would be very keen to use their self taught abilities to go out an live the adventures that were always read about, and in turn discover their is a lot more to real life adventures than what takes place in the story books...

Any thoughts on this? Really any caster type would work, but would probably work best with wizard, a bard that uses spoken word instead of song, alchemy, or potentially summoner.

If this idea isn't liked I can probably pull something else out that would work well, there are so many ways to take such a lovely idea.

Still possible to get in on this?
