Brag will find a source of arrows to replenish his dwindling supply. If there are any magical arrows he will inspect and perhaps purchase a small amount for the "thank you for cleansing our temple" discount. "Wynnstain, I thought this was the Temple of Theseus, not your temple! Anyway, we will return in the morning and finish the cleansing. Two questions: First, where can I purchase some arrows with your non-profit religious organization discount. Second, we think we know the source, but what do you and your friends here," looking at each of them, "know about a spirit named Kamalani?"

Brag reaches to check his pack and pockets for any forgotten keys, then realizes that, well, that's not really an option any more. He shrugs, laughs, and looks at the others.

Brag follows Thurl with his Goz mask and stealth fully active. Stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 So, I did the refresh thing and no one had posted since Lem an hour ago. I made this post and hit preview. No one had posted. I hit submit, and Roccavisk was chastising me for my Goz mask ineptitude. The joys of PBP.

To Muddy Mariners both old and new So after 300 D20 rolls here are the results. They have improved from the earlier rates (63% below average rolls) to 54% below average rolls, but are still not quite balanced. D20 Quartile Analysis:
As you can see, the low end still out paces all other quartiles by 5 to 8 percentage points, while the high end lags behind all others. On average each die should be rolled 15 times (300 rolls/20 dice) or 5%. Five Most Frequent Dice Rolls (and ties):
Five Least Frequent Dice Rolls (and ties):
Observations:
Conclusion:
That said, the D8 rolls are similarly unbalanced. Here's the raw data for the 167 D8 rolls. Dice .. Count
As you can see the below average die are the top 3 and 4 of 5. While the above average die are the bottom, especially that elusive "8" with only 10 rolls (half what it should be) as compared to 30 for the "4" (1.5 x what it should be. This is not balanced. It is expected that each die be rolled 20.875 times in this distribution only the "5" and the "2" are close. One final note: For all dice rolls:
Only the D6 are at an even 50%.

Alset accepts the mask, gratefully. I thought that Stony already had the mask. It keeps showing up in this thread! LOL Stony, no need apologize we know you have multiple personalities (large, medium, DM, Stony, etc.), and we can handle it.

Alset considers riding in the cart so he can snipe from there. Then remembers who's pushing the cart and quickly abandons the poorly conceived idea. Marching order: Odie, Stony (Mud in pocket), Alset-y, and Ood-y.

Dear GM: I thought that Stony was in the doorway blocking the two thugs from leaving, while the other three thugs were coming to the room. Not sure what this means, but if Stony could block the door while we finish off the two thugs and Ham-sa, that would be good.

"We might want to wait until after we knock off the baddies upstairs. I don't think they'll ignore the loud, crunching bang a second time. I will say that Oody has the best luck of the group at these kinds of things, so if he's willing to try it. . ." One of the downsides of PBP is that the GM gets to read all of our comments, which means that we may put ideas into his head that would not have otherwise been there! In this case, the noise drawing attention to our location below the lumbermill and thus losing any surprise advantage. And if he wasn't thinking this before, the GM certainly is NOW.

After a night's rest, whenever that happens after all the discussion with and about the council and our decisions, early the next morning Alset will visit the ruined temple of Erastil and nail a parchment on the door (or what's left of the door) with nine statements about the future of religion in Pridon's Hearth. After only coming up with five statements, Alset settles for the nine that became five theses about religion and how to fix the problems of indulging in improper activities of previous and other religious groups by properly following the mores and teachings of Iomedae who is not about financial gain but spiritual enlightenment and peace through the destruction (often violent) of evil. These five primarily come from the teachings that Alset received from his paladin mentor Luth Ur Marten. Curious about this post?: Didn't want to miss tomorrow's (10/31) special day without some kind of recognition of the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther posting his 95 these on the door of the Wittenberg church.

Since I dropped my crossbow to make sure I wasn't tempted to use it again, I added an image to the map to show where I dropped it. I intend to retrieve it when (if) I survive the battle. Also, I moved the current map to the top of the maps on the presentation file to make finding it just a little bit faster.

I hate rolling dice. And, the dice gods hate Alset. Current stats: 64 rolls of which 43 were below 10 and 21 where 10 and above. 33% were above average. When will this move toward the 50/50 range? What? I rolled another 1, and that on a Survival check. I'm going to die before Odie, just because of my rolls and not any actual raging behavior.

"Odie, to the smithy, go. I'll go with you. We'll see what they have that can help us protect, defend, and kill if necessary. Quote:
"to the smithy, go" is a quote from the Return of the King movie. Eowyn to Merry who needs his sword sharpened. Alset walks quickly with a bouncing Odie to the Northwind Smithy, warily eyeing he coming storm. He tells Odie, "After the smithy, we must return to the Sheriff and help secure Pridon's Hearth from the coming storm."

Not sure a were-anything should be a paladin . . . I'm thinking that since Paizo.com keeps us from changing our dice rolls, it might be helpful to post the opponents AC (in this case plants), so that we can appropriately respond to our own attacks in the same post w/o waiting for GM Mervikoth to determine hit or miss.

Round 9, Init 20, HP 13/13, Bolts 3/10, Smite Evil 1/1 Alset stands, somewhat frustrated near the center of the compound. He nocks another bolt and casually aims at the grippli, calls on Iomedae, pulls the release, and . . . Bolt ->Grippli / Damage: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 181d10 ⇒ 7 breathes a sigh of relief as the bolt, aided by a sudden crosswind, finds its target. "Yes!," raising his shield in excitement.
"Thank you, Iomedae.," slightly bowing his head in a brief moment of gratitude.
