Other players! I'm excited! I'm also still in CO, where I have spotty coverage but nice views, so daily posts won't continue until I'm fully back Monday.
Still haven't heard anything concrete from our 3rd. But if I were a betting GM, I'd be placing my my imaginary gold on a Human Paladin of Iomedae showing up on board...
By the way, I'll be doing reactive-type rolls for you guys that would just slow down gameplay (like I just did for Linguistics) but I'll try to keep that to a minimum. Let me know if I'm doing that too much and taking away your PC's agency.
And if you didn't know, you can click "Preview" and it will display what your rolls are, that way you don't have to double post. You cannot, however, delete the post and write a new one to get a better roll; it remembers your rolls up to 24 hours.

Uh, legal? Odie never asked, his boss was in charge of all the booking and paperwork. I mean, nobody was forced into the match if that's what you're asking. Some were even just friendly no-blood matches.

In other news, I've added a map of Sargava to the Campaign info page, showing where Pridon's Hearth is in relation to the capital Eledar and the rest of civilization. So Pridon's Hearth is basically a colony of a colony, though Sargava is fully independent.
Apparently, I'm carrying on two conversations at once. Such a skilled barbarian am I!

Yeah PbP tends to run over each other sometimes. You just have to go with the flow; it shouldn't be too hard to follow them.
Yeah but stonewall doesn't realize that not everybody has the same level of attachment to their implements that he does.
Wow, I just need to be careful to be explicit who I'm talking to. I just realized it looks like I was talking to Odie about never running from a challenge.
There will normally not be 3 NPCs all at once too. Plus I assume you'll just shoot first, ask later ;)
Haha, this is making me wish I had gotten the xenophobic trait where I'm only allowed to speak dwarven. That would have been hilarious. I was worried I wouldn't be able to talk to anyone though.
Yeah, that may have been a bit debilitating with only 3 of us, haha

Sorry for the delay. I've been out of town.
You'll want to make an Alias named your PC's name. Click on your name, and then click on the blue/purple tab Alias (second from left). Then, in that new alias, you can add your stats, etc. like Odie and Stonewall has.

Welcome new paladin in shiny armor! There is some stuff in strange places, but it looks like mostly set it once stuff.
I'm going to hold off on NPC interactions until the other 1 or 2 show up officially. Then once we all do we can land this boat and get the adventure started off proper!
(By "land" I mean "sink to the bottom of the ocean.")

Also, looking at other PbPs, with regards to combat, don't be afraid to post what you plan on doing even if it's technically "out of order." Each of you will still resolve your actions in the proper order of initiative, but you can say "I move to flank w/ Guy Who Moves Before Me if possible and attack." This will be for people that move before/after the bad guys, of course.
I'm also looking at having you list the current round at the top of each of your posts in combat, and then Spoiler your "status" and list things like what weapon is drawn, spells left, etc. This way it's easier to follow a combat as the days go by, especially as your rage or spells deplete round by round.
Just some ideas. I don't know what kind of character our 4th will be. Any guesses? I'm hoping for a melee focused bruiser, like a Ranger, Bloodrager, Brawler, Cavalier, Slayer, or Swashbuckler. And for race... gnome.
I see that Odie and Stonewall have their stats showing up next to their avatar on this and other pages. I've entered my stats under my profile. How do I get them to show up next to my avatar? How do I get added to the players and character tab lists?
Also, how do I join the Second Wave campaign? All I seem to be able to do is post in the discussion tab.

Yes, and you have to post in this discussion as your Alias. You're posting as your regular profile, which doesn't work for some reason. It has to be an alias.

I had to post in the game play tab to get added to the character list. But I lost my stats... I'll have to figure that out tomorrow.
You'll just have to re-enter them in your Alias instead of your regular Profile. Not too hard with copy paste. Glad you figured it out.
By all means keep posting, but I wasn't going to enforce the once a day rule until we are all here.

So, Merv Griffin, I'm assuming these discussion threads will continue on forever, or at least until the campaign is complete. Is there a need (and a way) to archive some of the older discussions?
This discussion thread will last us the entire campaign, correct. It will be available for all eternity (or until paizo shuts down their servers.) There isn't a specific archive function, but you can always search this thread for anything specific. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by archiving older discussions, though.
And please, it's Mervikoth, a word I made up so I would have a consistent handle on any website I went to. I don't design game shows, I design games for show.
