Oh crap I forgot to collect more specimens after that frog-ageddon. Herbie thinks to himself. A look of shock and craze comes across the little leshys face. I am the sample!!!.

"Narissiel might I get your help over here?" Herbie heads over to a discrete area and shifts into plant form and asks Narissiel "Shake me like you would a rug." as the cavalier shakes out Herbert like a very sad looking forest floor rug, all manner of bits and bobs come falling off him. Soils, diets, crystals, seeds, root balls and is that a squirrel!?!.

Morphing back into humanoid form Herbie looks up at Narissiel "Hopefully this will be enough for Ashasar." Herbert gathers up everything in a sack and presents it.

Even saw a new thing or three. I'm looking at you Herbie!

"Who? Me? I'm just my normal self plus I'm not just going to leaf ya hanging ;)"

With a hiss and a growl, the cat fight between purple and Ayla ends.

A random vine unwraps its self from a tree points at the clouds above and an audible "HA! can be heard.

Herbie tiptoes acros the grove towards the rest of the party. Gulping rather loudly he gets to a nice safe spot in the trees and attempts to blend in.

Swift action to change into plant mode ;) becoming one with the forest. Tree shape+10 Natural armor woot!

So... yeah I seem to have made an erroneous post late last night. R. Sweet please retcon my post about imbibing a portion of shield. It was a potion of shield of faith. Also please disregard the Merabian Mentorship as I thought it was on the alchemist Formulae list. This is what happens when you write posts with very little sleep.

Herbie surprised that his cousin is shocked with speech he begins to 'speak' further. The little Herbalist starts to sway with the wind his leaves tinkling together like a wind chime.

"Brother Vine. My name is Herbert Shimmerleaf, watcher of the vale, defender of the grapevine and master herbalist. I along with this group of wanderers have set out to locate that which has been lost." exhaustion begins to set in with all the motion of communication Herbie does something he would rather not do in this place, but the time has come for him to gather some much needed nutrients and become more like his cousin in fauna.

Herbie begins to shift in appearance. His legs begin to take root. A look of fear appears upon the Leshys face as it begins to fade into his plant form. The soil seems odd both acidic yet alkaline.

Herbie 'speaks' further "O great Vine Brother who's roots run deep and far. I am sorry we have entered your grove unannounced. Are you the guardian of this grove? This grove at the heart of our quest? Might we garner passage though, collect what we have come for and leave with out a trace? We will take what does not belong and return to our realm faster than the morning glory grows.

Reverting back to his more mobile form he shudders and grasps Ayla's arm for support and to steady himself.

Contiuning to wave around wildly with his spindly arms Herbie continues his commune with the wild Foliage with a little nod and Wink to Ayla as if to say "Hold your blows" he start groaning, moaning and growling like an ancient oak being buffeted by a storm.

Speaking like this takes forever. If only they understood Taldan a sigh can be heard from Herbie and he struggles with the proper phrases as the interpretation from Common to Vine-ish doesn't really corilate.

Herbie helps attend to the wounded as the group mills about collect their gear and themselves. He attempts to see what the Monkey and Porcupine have on them hopefully something of use and then he sets out with the rest of the group.

Herbert easily identifies the Toads with his close inspection moments earlier "The "Toads" were Fey creatures of the First World. Ohh and whats this?" Herbie leans down and grabs a small sample of the mucus left behind by the Toad. "Jamila! Ashasar will be most pleased with this Sample!" he secrets the little vial away in into pouches at his side.

"Onward?" the little Leshy trudges off after the group huffing and puffing trying to keep up.

At the Gnome devoid of color

Herbie approaches the Gnome of no color he extends out a hand after blankly staring at the Gnome. "Greetings! The Names Herbert, friends call me Herbie. I do not think I caught your name." The strange viney smile hopefully does not friten the gnome he continues "Now not to be a thorn in your side HA! are you ok? You seem to be leaking color from your eyes, is that natural?"

"That is true. S/He tried to eat me. Although not as successfully. This one may have not known any better too. Didn't Blarg try nipping at you a time or too?" Herbert continues to try and calmly inlist the help of those able to calm animals.

After Tad departs

Herbert rushes over to the Toad Boss and checks him over to see if his life force has passed from this earth or he is able to be saved.

Seeing the Toad may still have life he will attempt to stanch the bleeding and stabilize the beast for a transdimentional trip.

R. Sweet I am really starting to feel bad about the 'little' Toad attempting to eat the walking salad bar.

Herbert takes a moment to think on what is happening to the Poor little gross toad who tried to eat him. He begins to think out load to the group "It seems like this little Toad has a bit of anxiety over us killing the bigger toad." Herbert moves up to the Toad and holds his hand out in a non threatening way towards the toad in an effort to calm him down a bit Hopefully, I don't have handle Animal trained v.v

"Might one of you others versed witht animals be able to calm the now orphaned toad down a little? Could make a new friend."

Take a another quick step back from the frog Herbert pulls another Seed Pod from his person and chucks it at little Tad.

Herbie continues to comune with the vines for a few more moments "Groan, Shakes, weeerrrnnn."few[spoiler=Plant Speech]"Yes I will help tend to you. Though I must complete my mission for the time being but I do not worry for I will return." He begins prunging a few of the vines and then gives a final fairwell and follows along after the party.

Now to get Toad-aly into combat
Herbert moves about the mushrooms with ease and gets into a perfect location to toss a few Seedpods at the small toad Red. Plucking what looks like a large walnut from the many vines that make up his body he throws it.

As he throws the pod it fly's wildly off target smashing into the ground away from his target.

Looking to take advatange of this wonderful opportunity Herbie rushes forward to the vines and lays a foliage laced hand on the vines and begins grunting and swaying Grown, Shake Shake, Herbert moan."

As Jamila greets everyone Herbert reached up to the foliage atop his head which slight takes on the shape of a hat as he grabs the 'brim' he nods to Jamila "Jamila pleasure to meet you. After reading through the request I had recieved I thought nothing more than to rush off to meet you here in Bellis." turning to Falbin Herbert asks the plucky gnome as rather excited question "Poke Root you Say! I have not had a chance to use any of that for some time!" his expression grows dower as he hears the mention of unruly weather change especially for the middle of autumn. "The weather is odd some might even say strange. Do you know what could be the cause of this meteorlogical phinomia? Has the Verdan forest always had unexplained weather patterns?'

But to answer your question I am known as a Grapevine Leshy and I hail from Merab in the great nation of Thuvia. That is where I learned my way about a lab although I tended to find myself more in the fields watching over the many vineyards I called home."

As the party begins to gather about the ship into a common meeting area one of the potted bushes on deck noticably shakes loudly. As if seperating from the planted pot a small shrubbery shakes and begins to form into the shape of a smal humanoid like creature.

Two eyes and a mouth appear on what could only be the head of this little plant thing. "Hello." It says with a gracious bow "The names Herbert, Herbet Shimmmer Leaf, Herbalist by trade. It is a pleasure to meet all of you." taking the meaty catfolks paw he shakes it adamently. "Apples are a wonderful piece of fruit." he moves about greating each other member in attendance with a personal handshake.

"So I guess we are all here for the same thing? Venture-Captain Brackett has called on each of us." he winks strangly with his berry like eyes and leafy lids.
