Henris was fairly tired from having slept poorly, and the slog through the jungle was tiring as well. Now he was looking at a ship in terrible condition. Sighing, he said, "I don't think we'll find much from this ship. Should we check it anyway?"

"The ship looks smaller than the Jenivere, and is half-submerged underwater. I doubt we'd recover anything useful from it. As for the creatures, they are dimorphodons. They possess a poisonous bite, track with scent, and like to swoop in, attack their prey, and swoop out, letting the poison finish them. They are a type of dinosaur, and are typically found near other types of dinosaurs. We are most definitely not the apex predators on this island. Let's move on."

Something I've noticed when I GM PbP, is if I let the players take time to RP for too long, eventually it just drags things out. Especially if the NPCs in general aren't particularly friendly or forthcoming, as most of these are at the minute.

Henris smiles at Aerys. "Myself? I've followed Gozreh every since
he sheltered me from a storm as a child. As I grew older, I chose to leave my caravan in Varisia so I could sail upon Her seas. I've crewed a few different ships over the years. Most recently, the Jenivere."
Henris grimaces as he thinks of what happened, both on his last ship and on this one. "I actually sailed with the Jenivere because of a vision from Gozreh, of a wild, untamed jungle and crystal clear lake somewhere within the Mwangi Expanse. Once the Jenivere reached Sargava, I intended to set out into the jungle in search of this place of untouched nature."

If Almon is based in the US, then probably not. While 12 weeks maternity leave is mandated in the US, nothing says it has to be paid leave, and there's no law providing the same benefit to new fathers. I don't think the law applies to adoption or foster placement, either.

Henris won't want the poison, so he won't have an issue with that.

As the main fighter, Roland should have the masterwork cutlass. My plan is to hopefully, eventually, get a returning trident and then strike at range. Henris is designed for support first, combat second, so I can swap my leather armor to someone else if need be.

Henris helps Thraxis with cleaning the shark so they could transport it. As they move the material from the ship to the shore, he keeps an eye on the heat of the day.

If we get to a point where we'd have to work in the really hot parts of the day, I'll gather everyone around and use my untouched by the seasons ability to give everyone the the affects of endure elements for 1 hour.

Once there he clutches his holy symbol of Gozreh and prays, causing a burst of healing energy to flow from him and was over those nearby.

Suspend Drowning lasts 1 round/level. It also targets one medium or smaller creature per level, so at higher levels I can affect multiple people, but for now, one person for 1 round. The casting time is an immediate action, though.

That sucks. I've never had full blown pneumonia, just walking pneumonia. Not as crippling, but dangerous in its own way.

Henris blanches slightly at Nali's suggestion. "We have been here for all of one day and night. No doubt they are still in shock - stranded on an island, no sign of rescue, and poisoned as well. We may have been better at processing events, like a firepelt is better at hunting than a deer, but both are important to nature's balance. I am sure that, if given time, they will eventually emerge from their sulks and prove useful. Too, there is also the fact that we cannot leave our base camp empty as we attempt to explore the island. Ishirou acts as a guard for now, and if we can free Jask, he will likely be of aid to us, as well. Perhaps the others will come around, as well."
