the hold where the hole is has a higher DC check and no hammock checks, I didn't see it called out that you were going there, if that was your intent my bad, after re reading the posts I couldn't find it. please just go with it to prevent backtracking, and call it out in the future where I don't make the mistake, my bad. ( I was assuming you were going after the body in the back room first.)

Upcoming weekend is one of my rare 'nothing planned' weekends. That doesn't mean I necessarily have time, though. The gym hasn't seen enough of me lately, and my wife needs some TLC.

I am currently doing also a session recap over important facts found on the ship. because PbP are a lot slower I wanted to bullet point important facts or hints given to certain clues. I think by doing this over important areas this will help the party later to remember. That is part of the reason it is taking me awhile. sorry about the delay.

That sounds awesome :) thank you. One thing that's like a PbP is there's always a record to refer to if something comes to question, but digging through all of it can be a daunting task.

So guys, how do we want to break up the loot? I took the chain shirt, and I'm greatful for it. I'd also like to keep one of the cutlasses (we have three 2 normal, one masterwork) because I can two hand it. Once I can get a pile arm I'll switch to that. Other than those things, I'd like to hold onto a dagger or the boarding axe as a backup weapon if we have enough to go around, but that's not super important.

Nali managed to get a studded leather and a rapier out of this. I think she's fine, so far. At some point she'll try to get a buckler, maybe a wooden one.
For all her evil nature in regards to killing and torturing without any qualms, she isn't overly greedy.

She'd like a clw potion, though. And rope is always good.

So, I don't know about the rest of the stuff, but I think we pick out the weapons and armor for everyone.

Henris has the club, and his trident. He would probably like a dagger for backup but has two weapons so is probably further down the list.

Nali has her rapier and that's probably enough. Because of being an inspired blade she's pretty dependent on that particular weapon. Still maybe a backup weapon should be nice?

Thraxis has a cutlass, and might want a dagger for backup.

Almon will want a dagger probably, unless there is another simple weapon available that I missed.

I have a cutlass, but I will probably take the masterwork one unless Thraxis wants it. Nali is the only other person who could use it and she'll want to stick with the rapier.

That leaves us an extra cutlass, and the boarding axe and short one dagger. I can use the boarding axe and so if there are no objections that will be my backup. Maybe we can trade the one helpful man (i can't remember his name right now) the cutlass for his dagger? Also we can try to make some more clubs when we have time. They will give us a way to do blunt damage.

The armor is a tougher decision because we have 4 sets of armor for 5 people. None of us are really ranged, so there it's really someone who doesn't need it as much as the others. Crafting armor is harder. Maybe we can craft a set of leather from the sharkskin? It would be a tough check though.

Edit: I just realized we all have a dagger from the pathfinder's kit, so nevermind about the backup weapon stuff. We have extra daggers.

Really, she's fine. Although she'll probably selfishly accept anything offered to her.

She feels like the poison is sort of her's and Almon's, so she'll share it with Almon, or take it all.

Henris won't want the poison, so he won't have an issue with that.

As the main fighter, Roland should have the masterwork cutlass. My plan is to hopefully, eventually, get a returning trident and then strike at range. Henris is designed for support first, combat second, so I can swap my leather armor to someone else if need be.

Roland does know acid splash (odd I know) so he could repeatedly cast that. RAW this would probably do nothing, but if GM rules that metal is particularly susceptible then that could work.

Still here. Awfully busy.
It's one thing to have an open relationship, but having a girlfriend next to my wife is... time consuming. Add full time work, a course, an IRL D&D group, and friends and voila, not much left.

If Almon is based in the US, then probably not. While 12 weeks maternity leave is mandated in the US, nothing says it has to be paid leave, and there's no law providing the same benefit to new fathers. I don't think the law applies to adoption or foster placement, either.

Great that you can survive on a single income. That has become harder, the last few decades, in the Netherlands. On the other hand, European Union is forcing a law upon our country to up paid leave for new fathers from two days to six weeks. It's nowhere near Sweden, but it's a great change nonetheless. The law is due to take effect in July 2020. Most parents to be are waiting it out, currently.

Mothers already had a 16 weeks paid leave. Also the lowest in Europe.

In Sweden, for example, parents get to share a year of paid leave between them. But they have 6 hour work days, so are a sort of paradise anyway ;)
We'd go live there, but it's cold up there and they talk funny. Might migrate anyway...

It's been a while, is it maybe time to do a head count? Also, is there maybe a way to speed up this survival section? I don't mind the theme, but it's a lot of virtual "doors" which are a general no no with pbp just cause they are hard to get through.

Something I've noticed when I GM PbP, is if I let the players take time to RP for too long, eventually it just drags things out. Especially if the NPCs in general aren't particularly friendly or forthcoming, as most of these are at the minute.

Its a bit of a balancing act, giving everyone enough time to RP and explore while also moving things forward. Especially in PbP where having a proper conversation with an NPC could take a month =)
