Action 1
"Alright Mardok, here you are, just go inside to the barracks like they asked you to. You'll be just fine, now go and do us proud show them our clinic is worth the trouble it causes." She had a winning a smile and was fairly attractive. Mardok looked a lot like a sad puppy at being sent inside, but he knew he needed to go, and duty has been the one thing that would get him out of his madness. "Alright Nurse Betty, I guess I have to, tell the gang I'll be back with ore stories soon enough." Laughing Betty said, "I'm sure they'll look forward to it." She looked at a nearby spot and kneeled down, reaching out her hand and making a motion like she's stroking a dog's ears, "We'll all miss you and Ranger, you've done a lot of good Mardok, don't forget it." She stands, and with that leaves. Drawing up his courage, Mardok made his way into the tower barracks, It's been awhile, last I saw this place there were far more people. Looking around Mardok knew that he was one of the shorter people in here, and possibly one of the most dangerous. None of that mattered to him really, Mardok didn't even want to be here, he was told he had little option, he was needed to keep a new group from suffering the fate his had and that was enough to convince him, at least for now. When he went to the mess hall he saw the table of four people and looked down at the floor to his right, "What's that Ranger? You think we should go talk to them? Lead the way boy." The rather odd man walked to the table, seemingly holding onto and invisible leash with an equally invisible dog tugging on it. He reached the group and said, "This seat taken?" Regardless of the answer he has a seat and then reaches down to his side to pet Ranger. "Howdy I'm Mardok and this is Ranger. What's going on around here, I haven't been in touch for years now?" Perform (acting) for his dog interactions.: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21 Who are these people at the table that everyone seemed to be avoiding?

Not entirely sure who the ubers are, haven't really looked. I'm usually willing to rebuild, at least to an extent, though uberism isn't necessarily a problem as they usually suck at everything but that focus. As long as they're good at only one or two things it's not an issue, when they become a one man party is where trouble begins. Ultimately the only way to determine a solution is for us to look and see who's uber and who's not then meat in the middle somewhere. Remind me to tell you later about the one man party monk, it was horrifying.

I am actually tempted to rebuild the summoner route since we ditched the auto bonus progression. Was going to make them dual archers but the lack of magic items for the eidolons was going to ruin the build. I might flesh one out for kicks since there is another week til stary though if you want to do a summoner Gabi then by all means feel free.

Finally got my character mostly build, the fluff will be done after a training meeting at work this evening. I've settled on an fighter (archer). As a question, with the bonus progression, how does that affect arrows? You can only attune the bow or the arrows, not both. Will you allow the attunement of the bow to apply the damage bonus as well as the attack bonus?
Human
Sooo yeah, turns out those automatic bonus progression rules aren't designed in a way that they function for animal companions/familiars/eidolons. They never took them into account and so we'll say goodbye to the summoner idea. Looking like either a swashbuckler now or some kind of archer, still working on that part.

I'm currently bouncing between a regular swashbuckler now or an unchained summoner. I'll hopefully have my decision nailed down by tomorrow evening. With the current party make up I'm actually leaning more the summoner route but either way this guy is gonna be fun. If I did go summoner how would the automatic bonus progression interact with that? Since I can't buy those enchantments would the eidolon get the effects for itself as well? If so what level, the same or later? |
