Special Abilities
--------------------

Dim Seer You gain a +2 trait bonus on Perception checks in dim light, and Perception is always a class skill for you.
Focused Study All humans are skillful, but some, rather than being generalists, tend to specialize in a handful of skills. At 1st, 8th, and 16th level, such humans gain Skill Focus in a skill of their choice as a bonus feat. This racial trait replaces the bonus feat trait.
Hawk Eye (Ex) At 2nd level, an archer gains a +1 bonus on Perception checks, and the range increment for any bow he uses increases by 5 feet. These bonuses increase by +1 and 5 additional feet for every 4 levels beyond 2nd.
This ability replaces Bravery.
Rapid Shot When making a full-attack action with a ranged weapon, you can fire one additional time this round at your highest bonus. All of your attack rolls take a –2 penalty when using Rapid Shot.
Savant Chose a performance type. You gain a +2 trait bonus on all Perform checks made using that performance type. Perform is always a class skill for you.
Trick Shot (Ex) At 3rd level, an archer can choose one of the following combat maneuvers or actions: disarm, feint, or sunder. He can perform this action with a bow against any target within 30 feet, with a –4 penalty to his CMB. Every four levels beyond 3rd, he may choose an additional trick shot to learn. These maneuvers use up arrows as normal.
At 11th level, he may also choose from the following combat maneuvers: bull rush, grapple, trip. A target grappled by an arrow can break free by destroying the archer’s arrow (hardness 5, hit points 1, break DC 13) or with an Escape Artist or CMB check (against the archer’s CMD –4).
This ability replaces Armor Training 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Appearance and Personality:
Mardok is a shorter man standing only five foot four and one hundred fifty pounds, his brown hair is kept cut fairly short and his brown eyes hold a hint of craziness in them. He wears blue canvas trousers and a green linen tunic and heavy boots. When going into combat or on a job he wears a suit of specially made breastplate that is designed to cause minimum difficulty when travelling, a longsword of cold iron, a composite longbow made of darkwood. He wears a quiver on his back with arrows and often a strange hat with a brim only in the front.

Mardok is a generally nice man, he has a soft spot for kids and is always helpful towards those that need his aid. His attitude is happy go lucky highlighted by rather strange actions and comments, so strange that many are quite sure that he's delusional. He often talks about his dog ranger, feeding the animal and playing with it despite the fact that there is nothing there. He's also been known to create horrible foods and speak with the occasional object and stocking puppet. Whether his craziness is just an act or actually real is up for debate, if he is faking he's one of the best actors anyone has ever seen.

Back Story:
Mardok was born to a Varisian family in Riddleport and spent his early life living on the streets. He learned a great deal about how to spot things, particularly in the dimmer lights of the alleys, and how to act to earn money for himself and his family. Despite his best efforts to provide for his mother and sisters Mardok's father brought about their ruin. The man was a drunkard and a gambler and went so far into debt that his family was taken and sold into slavery and Mardok was taken and to made to join the loan sharks crew. Mardok fit in as best as he could but found it very difficult, his good nature not meshing well.

It was during his sniper training at the age of fourteen that Mardok saw the chance to strike out. He had done such a superb job of acting the part that his boss believed him and during the events of the Blot he planted a feather between the bastard's eyes, killing him instantly. The gang put a bounty out on him for the murder of the shark, and with no chance to help his long gone family, and no way to stay in the city anymore with a deathmark on his head, Mardok fled before he could be killed.

With no where else to go where he could survive he decided to make his way to Kenabras and join the crusades. He entered into service as an archer and, despite his lack of religious convictions, he was able to prove his skills as an archer and was asked to join a special forces team. His squad became his family and they had a number of successful missions together dealing with the demon threat, until they were set up by traitors anyway. A group of demon cultists manage to set the group up on a job and then betrayed them, the team was turned over as traitors, convicted, and executed, all except for Mardok who had been captured and tortured by the cultists.

Mardok was found after the trial and execution of his surrogate family and upon finding out what had occurred, suffered from a mental breakdown. His honored service, and in memory of his now framed but dead team, Mardok was taken into the temple of Iomedae where a ward for those mentally damaged in the fighting. Mardok was initially catatonic, he exhibited signs of combat fatigue, delusions, and a general psychotic break when he came out of it. Despite a few years of treatment Mardok has only recently made it to the point where he was stable enough to be around other people, though that stability is a relative term.

With events becoming more dangerous recently with increased attacks by the demons and the ever increasing corruption of the cultists it was decided that a special group needed to be formed once again. In the hopes that bonding with a new team would help Mardok on the road to recovery, and being desperate enough to let a crazy man out into the field, they have assigned Mardok to a newly formed A-team to lend his experience to them in the hopes of avoiding a repeat of the last debacle. Mardok has taken the chance to get out reluctantly as he seems to be quite happy where he is leading some to believe he may be playing crazy as opposed to being crazy.
