Grace let’s out a huff of air, also not sure what all the magic mumbo jumbo discussion involved. When Max asked to be informed how she could help, she simply replied ”Ditto.”

Grace remained as far from Horizon as possible as the group came together, purposely waiting until some others arrived before she actually approached. She lets him do his “briefing” asking ”How do we know this is an emergency and not some over reaction?” she asks, adding pointed emphasis to the last word.
Grace shrugs. ”Why not? Exactly? I mean, it’s actually VERY liberating! Before, I felt like I had to walk on egg shells so nobody figured me out. But now,” she stretches and flaunts her much curvier, stronger body, ”Nev and I are at our peaks!” Grace then brings a hand to her ear and listens, then sighs and rolls her eyes. ”I got a hero call to go tend to. Listen, Soph. I wouldn’t try and pressure you into something that would hurt you! This was a game you started, so why quit half through? Think about it! Panther pride and all that! When the other schools students all start seeing the light and turning, do we want to be behind the curve or at the head of the race?” She then lifts off her shirt and shimmies out of her shorts, revealing her new super suit underneath which was basically a long loincloth that left the sides of her legs bare, some undergarments, and a sports bra. All black in color which provided a stark contrast to her golden fur. ”See ya around!” she adds with a wink before darting off!
Grace looks over at Nev and says ”There’s only one at the top, and that is me,” as she subconsciously adds the weight of her influence behind the statement. ”And I meant what I said. No. Hunting. We are better than that.” She brushes her hair back behind her head and ties it into a ponytail. ”Anyway. Let’s talk to them all as we can. The more that see how good the change makes them feel, the more that will stop being scared of it!”
Grace comments ”I am still dating Max. And I don’t want to leave the team I’m on, but I definitely can see myself leading up a pride of Halcyon Panthers. Who else do you think we could convince. I bet Sophie would roll over also, with a bit of convincing. Shit, she basically twisted my arm to get me to take the pill to begin with!”
”We don’t hunt, Nev. We aren’t animals, but…we aren’t people either. We are something more, so we need to hold ourselves to a higher standard,” Grace says bluntly. ”And no, I’ve always walked to school from home. But if you wanna join the team, I’m sure I can work that out.”
Grace smirks. ”Her and dad both had super hero envy. So she’s taking it better than I could have had. Not thrilled, but not angry either.” She pauses and asks ”You need a place to stay?”
Grace smiles at her as she carries her books against her bare, fur covered stomach. ”Hey Nev! I’m…great actually. Well, Shin broke up with me. But hey, his loss. F@!~ him,” she replies as her tail flicks behind her. ”I’m glad you are back in school!”
Grace can be seen sitting beside Nev, her legs propped on the seat in front of and below her, and her back and arms lounging on the seat behind her. She giggles at Nev’s protest. When the AEGIS agent orders her to be quiet, Grace retorts ”Why? I’m pretty sure it’s still a free country, and we have the right to our own opinions! Like how the change isn’t that bad!”
Her hand never leaving Max’s hip, Grace says ”You were great there, by the way! You and me gave her a run for her money there! She just couldn’t keep up with both of us!”
Grace looks around and asks ”Where’s Horizon?”
Grace stands slowly and looks over at Max and replies ”Oh yeah, I’m fine,” with a toothy smile. When max steps in for a kiss, Grace hooks an arm behind her waist and holds her there, making the kiss more passionate than Max had initially intended! She licks Max’s upper lip as they separate and says ”You too,” with a wink. She turns back to Indarius and says ”Thanks for that! What a rush!”
Grace slumps forward and down to her hands and knees as her chest heaves from her heavy breaths. She stares at the ground, wide eyed and in shock. However, her shocked expression slowly changes as an unsettling grin comes over her face. Followed by a laugh. ”Yeah…yeah I’m fine,” she replies, the confidence in her voice undeniable.
Grace gasps and falls to her knees as her head drops back and her back arches hard as the power forces itself into her soul! It was a pain unlike anything she had ever felt, like her very being was being ripped apart, rearranged, and then put back together again! She couldn’t register her own scream, but it was loud enough to be heard from many blocks away!
Grace staggers to her feet, clutching her head as she groans ”Mmmm…hmmmmm?” She legitimately hadn’t understood what Indarius had said, but her reply could easily have been misconstrued as an affirmative “Uh huh.”
With a roar, Grace lunges at Indarius! She lands atop him, her teeth snapping inches from his face as she tries to bear him to the ground!
From the miasma of Lua’s effect is a low, menacing growl. A pair of yellow eyes precedes the exit of a much more primal looking Grace than before, one which lacks any semblance of humanity in its eyes!
Grace was already nervous, but now, having drawn blood… She lunges again, but the attack is half-hearted at best…
Grace blushes at Max in their tangle before extricating herself from their entwined limbs and lunging again at Lua!
Grace lands and leaps at Lua as well, with a feline snarl! She unfortunately leaps too high and Lua is easily able to duck the lunge.
Over comms, Grace says ”I’m catching wind of lots of boys. And a few girls. This person isn’t alone…”
And Grace tries to catch wind of anything that smells of wet wolf…
Grace hops up onto the ledge beside Parkour and squats down low, seemingly just as unaffected by the elevation as they are. Her tail flicked back and forth as her muscles tensed beneath her fur. "My father always said 'Save one life, and you save the world for one person.' So...if you are stopping any murders, you've already saved the world..." she mutters in reply to Parkour.
Grace is also getting fidgety. She keeps looking out the window restlessly.
Grace returned to the group after having taken a bit to get some fresh air. ”So…what’s the plan?” she asked.
When Indarius is off to himself, Grace makes it a point to approach him. ”Hey,” she says quietly, ”I…haven’t had any slip ups with your alias, have I? I don’t recall, I’ve always tried to be so careful…” she adds, concern heavy in her voice.
Grace watches the whole interaction anxiously. As Caio seems to be having some internal struggle with the sword, she instinctively squats down as if ready to pounce.
Grace nods as she walks alongside the mage. ”So…this going to be a talk it out trip, or a fight it out trip?”
There is a gleam in Grace's eye. "Yeah. We've got the trail of one separated from the herd. Let's single it out and take it down!" she says as she squats down, her tail flicking with excitement.
The whole time, Grace had been moving down low to the ground, her ears darting back and forth, and her hips and tail swaying as if she were about to pounce on something. As the others debate, she stands and turns to face the group and says "Let's go get them. IF they were so tough, they wouldn't keep striking at Caio when he was alone."
Grace steps up to Caio as he talks on the phone, putting a hand on his chest to calm him. ”It’s going to be alright, Caio. We’re going to find her,” she says reassuringly.
Grace hurries off to try and help! She starts sniffing the air to try and locate Caio and Skyler, and realizes that it is a good thing the two just had sex...
When Caio leaves, Grace looks at Shin and Max and mutters "Well...now I know where that smell was coming from..." as her nose snarls. "He still reeks of sex."
Grace furrows her brow. "Great. I have to use pet shampoo now..." she says in frustration as she looks at the bottles.
"Yeah," Grace comments. "It's musky. Kind of like..." she pauses as her eyes go wide with realization. "Leeeeet's go talk somewhere else..." she says as she leads them both away from the...aroma.
Grace nods and following along, holding a hand over her nose as she walks.
She shakes her head. "Something...smells. It's...almost overwhelming! Can you not smell that?"
As Grace and Max return to the base, Grace winces a bit and snarls her nose when they get further into the station.
Grace shakes her head. ”Too childish. I don’t want an alias that won’t age well,” Grace says as she resumes walking through the halls between them.
Grace rolls her eyes. ”More clothes issues!” she sighs in frustration. She shakes her head. ”No…I haven’t thought that far ahead,” she adds.
Grace’s eyes widen at Shin’s brazen display of his powers in class. But, she figured the cat was out of the literal bag… She returned the kiss and replies ”Awkward. Tense. She’s not a fan of my wardrobe choices but after I explained it and showed her she understands.”
”I don’t really have a choice in it,” Grace replies as she brushes her hair behind her longer ear. ”I spent all weekend trying to find clothes I could stand. Everything itches and makes me feel like I’m wearing a winter coat! I’m like, 50% sweat, 20% fur, and 10% itching under here!” she says as she fans herself with her notebook.
Grace had spent the previous few days trying to grow accustomed to her new body. And, surprisingly, she was coming to terms with it. She was a knock out, now. Even if she was covered in fur. And she was fast. And flexible. And strong. And nimble. It was all, surreal. But…she was finding clothing to be very frustrating. Even if her new clothes did fit and look great on her, they itched against her fur and she felt like she was burning up in even the lightest shirts and shorts. So, when Monday came around, she showed up to school in a short skirt, a tank top that fell about six inches above the waist band, and no shoes. She walked boldly through the halls, not caring about the looks she was receiving.
Grace thumps the ground and fights a moment before going limp and sobbing on the floor.
”Aren’t you listening!?!? I told you, Steel Guardian ” she roars before she takes a step and leaps towards the wall to her right, kicking up and off of it with one foot to lunge over top of Whiporwill! Once past everyone, she takes off running, eventually transitioning to all fours!
Grace shakes her head and steps away. ”N-no! I’m not some test rat! Cat…whatever! Plus, both Diva and Femtite said they did stuff too! My results are going to be messed up anyway!” she says apprehensively.
Grace explains ”I was the pilot of the suit, and had been taking the supplements. I lost consciousness during the fight with the Mongrels, and when I woke up…” she pauses, gesturing to herself.
Grace looks up, and lets out a breath before standing and saying ”They are gone. I am what is left.” In her new body, she is easily taller than Whiporwill and she doesn’t even realize that she is accidentally striking a pose as she puts a hand on her hip.
