ROUND FOUR

Rusco sprints past his master and attempts to bite the hobgoblin.

bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5

Even with the hex, the fox misses with its attack (unless the summoned creature appears in a square that would allow the fox a flanking partner. Let me know Arun and I may change his movement.

ROUND THREE

Rusco moves over to his master. As Chirk begins to cast divine healing on his magical fox, Rusco stands on his back legs and rests his paws on Chirk's shoulders. Standing like this, the fox comes to eye level with the Grippli shaman. He licks his master's face excitedly with his cold, ice blue tongue as the healing washes over him.

Rusco is now at 14/21 HP.

Bahram and JP are up. The leader is left. He is holding an unloaded light crossbow and is currently blocking the path.

ROUND TWO

Chirk wrote:
"Chirk wants Rusco to attack the wolf!"

Rusco gives Chirk a knowing look and then charges the wolf.

bite/charge/flank: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 + 2 = 30
damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5
trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

ROUND ONE

At the sound of the shaman's voice, Rusco's ears perk up. The magical fox takes off after the sound. Double move of 100' toward the shaman.

Chirk sees his fox companion moving toward him excitedly. It hops and leaps at the sight of his true master. The two had been split up when a hobgoblin scouting party had overtaken and destroyed their small, Grippli village. Chirk had been the only known survivor. He is shocked to see his long lost friend again.

Fergal's divinely empowered staff hits the creature's spine and a crunching noise is heard.

Rusco growls, as if the the two have history, and then moves to O9. On his way, the worg addresses him, "Traitor scum. You join these two legged intruders? Fight for your kind!" The fox opens its maw and a cone of frozen mist spews forth, engulfing the worg.

Cone of cold: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

6 damage and the worg is staggered for 1 round.

The worg wilts under the attack combo from the Druid and his loyal companion.

Bad guys up next. Worg has taken 28 points of damage.

Sure, let's have him attack and see how it goes. Do you want me to roll the dice for that? I'll post his tricks in discussion.

Yes. You have full control of him now. You can make him an avatar if you want.

Fergal: The fox is a story reward if you choose to take him as your animal companion. It is your choice. His stats are in this profile. I'll level him to keep him balanced, but you can choose the feats. He has a 3 intelligence, so he does not require handle animal checks. He understands sylvan, but cannot speak of course. His name is Tolkien's elvish word for fox. You can rename him and use whichever avatar you like for him. Just let me know what you decide.

ROUND TWO

Fergal's staff connects with the razorclaw's head, killing it immediately. The fox watches as the bird of prey that had harassed him falls dead. His tail begins wagging. He tucks it back under his legs as the druid moves up and then lowers his head under Fergal's hand and whimpers. Crouching next to the animal, Fergal can tell that it is injured badly. The crude iron trap is clamped down on its right hind leg.

After Fergal moves into a better position, he hears the fox cry out again. Looking in its direction, their eyes meet. The fox's eyes show intelligence. It whines once again...this time pleading for help from the human druid.

Fergal:
NATURE: The birds are Razorclaw hawks. They have two claws that are very sharp and can be used simultaneously if they are near their prey. They do not usually attack humanoids unless led to.

Fergal:

As you crest a hill, you immediately see two things. The first is a group of five adventurers walking up a path from the South about to cross a bridge to your side of the creek. The other is three predator birds circling the creature that was making the pitiful crying sounds. As you strain to look closer, you see that the whining creature is actually some kind of fox-like animal caught in a crude iron trap. One of its hind legs appears broken and bleeding profusely.

Please make a knowledge nature check.

We are now in rounds. Please post one round of actions (move, standard, etc.) Here is the map: Trapped Fox!
