Right then! Here's where we'll post all of our thoughts and things, and what-so-ever occurs - generally kept OOC, of course.

I, again, reiterate that this is my first time with a PbP at the helm, and urge some form of patience - that said, I'm here to have fun, and make sure we all have fun as we tell this deadly and daring tale!

The gameplay thread will be placed soon after I've made my decisions, which will be those who are directed here. Chime in once you've found out you're in, please!

If you also still have any questions, feel free to put them here!

Welcome, ye who enter here. Your stay might be a tad longer than most, or you'll pass along like all who venture through. This be Port Peril, and I've come to tell you a tale, the likes of which you've never heard before...

I'm here to run an entertaining game of Skulls and Shackles here on this board, mostly after being convinced by a few friends that it'd be the right thing to do. So. Here's my first PbP GM experience, and let's do this right.

Character Creation!
Level: 1

Race: Core, APG, UC, UM, ARG (no custom races).

Class: Core, APG, UC, UM.
Archetypes: All Paizo, but Master Summoner; can't have 13d4+13 lantern archons pre-battle. Just no.

Alignment: Any - but be aware of your choices, and roleplay appropriately - it's all I ask!
Abilities: 20-pt buy.
Wealth: Average by class.

Character Traits: Two, one must be a Campaign Trait from the Player's Guide.
Backgrounds: I want them. Let me know how you ended up in the Port, or maybe some history of how you've been there so long, and unnoticed!

DM Expectations:

- I would like players who can post a minimum of 1 post per weekday.

- I'm looking for characters - not optimized sheets of numbers. While there are some dice-focused challenges, this AP in particular relies on good roleplaying, so that is the priority.

- I'm also looking for some form of party cohesion - a group that works together, survives together. Don't be close-minded, even if you're the most sinister of men.

- I expect at least one post per day - if we're in combat, we'll try to heighten the pace, but I may end up doing combat by narrative as opposed to a gridmap. This is also up to debate once we're decided.

- Mostly concepts are fine with me here, but I don't mind seeing a full character.

- Also: Applications will close in a week's time, or until I see sufficient choices to choose from. Looking for 4-5 capable players.

That said, I'm also enabling firearms as per the S&S books, at Golarion standard. If I'm missing anything in this ad, please, inform me. I admit to being new, but have run many games offline.

Dark Archive

So, I've been brewing up a monk for a friend's game, with a very solid concept. I thought I'd go try out Weapon Adept from the APG, to focus on a martial arts style involving, weapons (surprise!), namely katar.

To my misfortune, I found that I cannot use punching daggers in any form as a monk weapon. I personally don't think it's a big deal to allow it to be, but I could be wrong.

Is there anything within Pathfinder that can fix this, without a house rule?
