You are able to sleep through the night without any mishap. Gelik wakes up a bit more chipper than he was the night before and says, "We should probably get going and moving our base camp may be a good idea. This cave has already been compromised."
Gelik says, "Well it happened yesterday morning... I was out to get some berries and after about an hour of searching and such I had a fairly large amount of berries but on my way back I heard some screaming I decided to hide. From my vantage point a bunch of people, must have been Taldorean, Ulfen or Chelaxian were ravaging the cave and took the others. There were eight of them so I figured I should hide. They took everything of value..."
Shortly after you start a fire in the cave and you get ready for first watch, you hear some rustling in the brush and then a you hear a familiar voice, who says "Have you heard the yarn about how dwarves swim? They crawl on the bottom!!!" The gnome makes his presence known and bows in front of you.
Gelik says, "Well, I think we have a better view for possible rescue from the beach...."
Gelik looks at Finn and Zabivat, "Well, young lady its a most certain pleasure to make your acquaintance albeit under dubious circumstances."
The group of you take the next two hours and make it back to camp in the early afternoon. Gelik comes out and sees Sasha and says, "How ya feelin doll, probably as good as Grimma looks!!!" Perform Comedy
Grimma is unable to find the trail of the captain and the woman. With it becoming later in the day Grimma and Finn head back to camp, carefully following their route from before. And eventually making it back to camp without any further complications. As the two weary people return to camp, Gelik springs to life and looks excited at seeing them arrive and then asks, "Where are Via and Miles?"
Gelik talks to Grimma, "Yeah, Sasha looks to be in bad spirits but everyone else seems to be handling castawayness much better. Grimma, have you ever heard the one about how the dwarven queen with the broken tooth?"
Gelik looks at Finn with a scolding eye, "Can't you see the man is sleeping?" he smirks at Miles and says, "With the others absolutely unwilling to lift a finger, I figured I would take 'the until you guys returned' shift which I figured would be ending no later than in an hour... " He then looks at Grimma and says, "Beats me, I am a master of the comedial arts my dwarfen friend..."
As you walk into camp you see that Gelik is the only one awake evidently on guard duty. As he sees you he smiles, and says, Find anything useful ?
Gelik follows Miles smiles and says, "Least I can do...hey you're from Magnimar, so what the hells..."
You just barely get back to the spot where the others are before the tide rolls in and the remains of the Jenivere get washed away by the vengeful sea god. Viata notices Gelik petting Yana while eating a greenish banana. Gelik says, "Welcome back, look whom I found.... when we get to Sargava I would love to incorporate him into my act... "
Gelik sits on the beach seeing that his clothes are in shoddy condition, he casts prestidigitation and he now looks cleaner than you have ever seen him. He then hobbles over to the pile and find his gear and says, "What crashed ship, is this not a dream... oh well, does anyone know what you get when you have nine schmoes and a pile of junk? Perform Comedy Vulture bait He gets a mild chuckle from the older Tian man
In the middle of the sentence he puts his hand in the air and says, "Yana was who I was talking to, he cuts a little smile and lets you finish and says, "A little this a little that, a fine gentleman like me must on occasion go off the beaten path, see something new, was it not Prince Haliad I, who wanted to have a hunting preserve in Garund.. bah, not really significant, I might add. I noticed when I arrived, twas in such a rush, my lass, I had forgotten the day I wanted to leave... it happens..."
The spry, energetic gnome with blond hair and a neat goatee, who dresses like a noble at all times springs from out of nowhere and slides over to Viata and says, "Are you returning home in Sargava?" with an energetic look in his eye. |
