GMEDWIN |
Grimma's battleaxe cracks the bug's shell. Its feet flail out and it falls flat on the ground, unmoving.
Combat Over You each receive 102 xp
With the battle over, you finally get a chance to survey your surroundings properly. To the south, a wall of green rises in the form of a dense jungle filled with a cacophony of life. North of you, the waters of the sea surge and churn between the between the beach and a line of razor-sharp rocks on either side.
Perception DC 15
Sasha is beginning to wake up and Gelik is getting to his feet now. Jask, the prisoner on board ship, is still unconscious, with his hands bound in manacles. Ishirou is starting to stir and comes to but has a fit of coughing. There is no sign of any of the crew apart and no sign of the one other passenger, Ieana.
All your equipment and belongings have been piled on the beach, although you have no idea how it got there, or indeed, how any of you got there. The last thing any of you remember is eating dinner on the Jenivere.
The sickness you are feeling upon awakening wears off over the next couple of minutes. Jask also starts to come to.
It's early morning at the moment, approximately 7 a.m. You can only presume it's the morning after the dinner, which would make it the 29th of Sarenith. However, there is no way to be absolutely sure. It's possible you were unconscious for over a day.
Viata d'Foc |
Viata, trying her best to recover, begins to help tend to the other passengers, also keeping an eye out for Yana. Seeing the wreckage north, she points it out to the others. "There's a ship crashed north of us. It could be the Jenivere, but I'm not certain. Perhaps after everyone has recovered we can head towards it?"
Viata moves over to Gelik, checking him for injuries first before moving to the others. "I hope the scorpion didn't do to much to you."
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Grimma Fireforge |
It was time !
I don't know where we are and the strangest thing is that I remover only when we start eating. After it was blackout and I woke up here. Anyone remember anything ?
Grimma help the others wake up and search for any clues of how they get here.
survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
I see the boat too if everyone ok we must take what we need from that pile et go there to see if other people make it or if there is any clue
take 10 on perception => 18
Grimma looked in the pile of chunk to see if she found any of her stuff or anything she can use later.

Aerys gets up and then dusts herself off and rummages through the equipment pile. She finds a composite longbow and a pack. She puts the longbow aside, and searches through the pack, ruffling through several papers. Finally, she pulls out a flask, opens it and drinks deeply from it. She sighs contentedly, closes the flask and returns it to her pack.
"Right, she says. "Where the hell are we and how did we get here?"
Gelik Aberwhinge aka GM |
Gelik sits on the beach seeing that his clothes are in shoddy condition, he casts prestidigitation and he now looks cleaner than you have ever seen him. He then hobbles over to the pile and find his gear and says, "What crashed ship, is this not a dream... oh well, does anyone know what you get when you have nine schmoes and a pile of junk?
Perform Comedy 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Vulture bait
He gets a mild chuckle from the older Tian man
Viata d'Foc |
Viata quickly gathers her own equipment. "I wish it was a dream. I am unable to find Yana." Viata looks to the ship again. "Perhaps he managed to find his way there. I agree, we should head towards it. Hopefully some of the crew survived as well, and Ieana too." Her concern for the monkey over the crew is quite apparent.
Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Miles of Magnimar |
When the sea scorpion goes down, Miles collapses into the sand and buries his head and the back of his neck in the shadow beneath his hands, groaning very faintly through the sickness and disorientation. He isn't sure if he's been poisoned or if he's dehydrated or if it is sunstroke, so he works to cool himself down for the moment and reorient.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
"Yana went to find food, I imagine." He points out the monkey tracks pockmarked in the sand.
He and Aerys seem to be digging their belongings from the pile at the same time. The crewman is quiet and doesn't appear to have much input at the moment. He unbuttons his tunic and buckles a bandolier full of darts beneath it, buttoning it back up only part of the way to leave a hand's width to slide out any of the darts. After finding his rapier, he secures it while watching her drink. He isn't sure if it is water or liquor, but either one sounds good right about now, even though he knows one is more likely to kill them than help them...
"Whether or not that's the Jenivere, we need to scour it anyway for salvage. I don't see any signs of civilization here, so any supplies we can get would be..."
He thinks to say the difference between life and death but opts not to create too much tension.
"...beneficial. And we should act fast. Looks like the first high tide might wash anything useful away."
Grappling Hook: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs. AC 5
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 11 vs. DC 5
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Miles goes to the nearest tree or seawall or highpoint and uses a grappling hook to snare the top of it. Once it is secure, he climbs up and takes a few minutes to find a safe traveling route through the rocks and around to the side of the cove where the ship is.
GMEDWIN |
Miles
the you woke, suggesting that someone dragged them up from the water’s edge.
While up in the tree, Miles
against a jagged cliff side among several sharp rocks.
Miles of Magnimar |
After surveying the landscape, he slides down the rope, unhooks the grappler, and reattaches it to his belt. "Someone was good enough to drag us out of the water. Likely the same person or persons who put our belongings in a nice little pile. I might like to thank that person."
Before heading off in the direction of the ship, he goes to Jask. The first mate had indicated the man was more of a political prisoner than a hardened criminal.
"Can I trust you? And if I can, why should I?" he asks Jask, prepared to risk letting the man go unless his response reminds Miles too much of the enforcers and murderers and schemers he has known.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 to judge his response.
Viata d'Foc |
Looking at the tracks Miles pointed out, Viata starts to take a few steps in their direction, then back towards the boat, back and forth. "If Yana went into the jungle...." She comes back up to Miles. "Can you follow Yana's trail if we go after him?"
GMEDWIN |
The ship is the same
First Jask looks at Miles and says, I've falsely accused and abducted in Cheliax by an agent of Sargava. Miles
Jask looks up at Finn and says, "Thanks for the gesture, however, just telling me I am free doesn't release me from my shackles."
You don't have the key to open them up, plus how do you know he isn't lying
Grimma Fireforge |
Grimma let the other liberate the prisoner.
But she ask one question You said you know the religious art of healing, which god did you pray ? Don't you need a symbol ?
sense motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Jask aka GM |
You guys do not have the key, so liberating him is a smidge more difficult than saying 'we set you free my son'
He writhes and jolts his still incarcerated body over to look at Grimma and says, "I am a faithful servant of Nethys, may you be protected by his one hand and pushed forward by the other..."
