Is everything okay with my character? I can make modifications if need be.

I present to you Gatekeeper Io, (A recycled Alias but the name fits just fine). I'm working on writing up a backstory now so he fits well in the group but here's the key points of his build:

1. He does ranged damage via kinetic blasts.
2. He does healing via Kinetic Healer, healing damage equal to his blast, and he has a literal fistful of wands he's collected.
3. He can do some skills at range via his telekinesis talents, and do combat maneuvers at range.
4. He has a freaking ton of hit points, which is good because some of his abilities do nonlethal damage to himself.

It is much like that in the astral plane Io agrees, but doesn't elaborate.

I believe his name is Tildea. Io answers to everyone but the cat. He has memories of being called it before, and no language I know of uses Tildea as a discriptor.

Just to the cat, Io thinks Hello, Tildea. I know you're capable of reason, as you have understood my request. Are you looking for companionship and food for a day, or maybe you want something greater?

Perhaps it already has a name? Gatekeeper Io says to Kawa. It doesn't feel threatened by us, so it must be used to people... of some sort, all things considered.

The gatekeeper focuses on the 'cat'. What is your name, little one? he directly asks it.

For our new player, I do not have a mouth, nor do I eyes (or any other orifices since I seem to be a naked man made out of darkness and glimmering stars). I speak with others telepathically.

Init +3; Perception +12; Burn 3/round (9 nonlethal/burn, 11/day) AC:23 T:14 FF:20; HP:162/162; Fort +16, Ref +11, Will +5;

Io tilts his head towards the cat, reaching out with his mind. On some level, the cat seems to want something, and he is curious if he could communicate with such a canny animal.

Good point Coyote! I wouldn't have gone to sleep after I'm up for my watch anyways. Instead, once others start waking up I start into my morning exercise routine.

Once back at camp and before we settle down to sleep, Gatekeeper Io will use Mindlink to share 10 Minutes of what his sensory experiences are like with Kawa, since she asked about it before. It's an instant transmission, and so she experiences the 10 minutes immediately and can recall them as if she experienced them herself.

I was asking specifically because we'd walk back to camp, and ask if anyone wants to come with us to track down the trail

Reporting back now would be the prudent decision. Then, we can search further if that is the group's chosen course of action. The gatekeeper replies.

It is possible to share some of my senses, if you desire to experience more. Io offers as they follow the tracks.

It can be... Intense... If you are unprepared for the experience.

If you don't mind my asking, Io, what are you, er... 'seeing', right now? I'm curious.

Much the same as you, I would suspect. Except from what I've been told you see something called 'color'. Io responds, his mental tone amused.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

This is some kind of footprint, though I know not what kind of being it belongs to. Io responds after looking the footprints over.

Your thoughts of gratitude are welcome... Alice. Io responds, his mental voice somewhat stiff. Though I have no ties to any mortal spirit. I assure you my body is quite real.

Though... Apparently barely. How does everyone else have so many hit points? did I miss something during character creation?

Okay I'm back! King without Land, is it all right if I purchase the extra magic items as part of my starting setup? I bought a Handy Haversack and Bracers of Armor +1

Gatekeeper Io will arrive at the set upon time, with a large wagon in tow by four horses.

What I bought:
Heavy Wagon - 100GP
4 Heavy Horses - 800GP
4 Bit's n Bridles - 8GP
In the Wagon: 40 days Feed (400 lbs) - 2GP
Coffee Beans (40 lbs) - 2GP
Pavilion Tent (50 lbs) = 100GP
7 Bedrolls (35 lbs) - 7SP
14 Blankets (42 lbs) - 7GP
Soap (25 lbs) - 5SP
3 Fishing Net - (15 lbs) - 12GP
7 Compass (3.5 lbs) - 70GP
3 Blank Maps (6 lbs) - 150GP
300 ft hemp rope (60 lbs) - 6GP
4 Signal Horns (8 lbs) - 4GP
150 Day's Trail Rations (150 lbs) - 75GP
100 Sticks Incense (10 lbs) - 100GP
50 Tindertwigs (-) - 50GP
10 packs of Cards (10 lbs) - 10GP
10 sets of Dice (-) - 1 GP
7 Blank Flags (21 lbs) - 70GP (I figure we can use these when we set our own territories)

For redundancies, I bought extras of stuff. Sorry for the convenience! :P

The Silhouette of a man looks over the assembled group and speaks to them all in their minds simultaneously.

Greetings. I have procured a wagon and coffee. And some other things we might have needed. I also do not understand how you all can wear so much clothing. Isn't it stuffy and difficult to breathe with that much wrapped around you?

The gatekeeper sits on the far back of the table, sandwiched on either side by his companions.

Io is human in size and shape, but that's where the similarities end. The man, if he is a man, seems to be nothing but a silhouette of a muscular humanoid wearing a good quality cloak and an amulet that clasps around his neck. If one stares at him long enough, little sparks and speckles of light seems to slide across the surface of his skin, like it is but a lens revealing the night sky of some far off world.

To the Guard:
I have signed. We are they...

The Gatekeeper touches his hand to a cup of water, and it seems to lose it's vibrancy. He does nothing else with it, and the waitress who comes to detail the table later finds that the water is somehow stale.

As a more serious question, King without Land, If I were to have the Self-Perfection Phrenic discipline, the AC bonus I get from that class will stack with Monk's, yes? I think it's more thematically appropriate to take self-perfection than Tranquility, considering how Astomoi are in pursuit of harmony of body/mind.
