The first clue is the "speaking artifact" under the false rider. We found out that the Chelish Pathfinder who stole it had become part of the first Decemvirate and murdered a bunch of people who knew the truth about him--he had passed off a bunch of Shoanti tales as his own experience, and he had stolen Shoanti artifacts after leading the Chelish army to the tribe he had befriended. Maybe there is another hidden compartment in the base? Or maybe the horse will talk after we do some other things?

I think we should all probably put on the cloaks and hoods. The clue was “Like the Lord of Seasons, our hoods illuminate truth, while their masks shelter deceit. Let this be the sign of our covenant. -E”

Finally, maybe someone needs to sing the dwarven song that Balin uncovered.

Did Helven betray the tribe to the Chelish? And what does it have to do with that Decemvirate Helm?" Garrick rubs his forehead in confusion. "The note speculates that the base of the statue is in Absalom, but wouldn't Kreighton Shane have noticed a Shoanti horse while he was looking for a 'false rider'?"

What was that, Alaria?! It's not my fault that monster interrupted my internship before I learned much history. Make yourself useful if you know so much Shoanti history!

Using Guiding Spirit to roll twice and take the better on this.

Spellcraft 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Spellcraft 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Despite his reservations, Garrick will poke around the room, using Spellcraft to see if there are any clues about the arcane items that were featured in the sketch found by Taariik. He'll also use detect evil and detect magic on any objects in the room.

Garrick sputters to a stop at the memory of bumping into Paracountess Zarta Dralneen in the hallways of the Society's archives.
