I have 4 current players in this AP.

This AP was started with the idea that we would be posting about 5 times a day. It has slowed to about 1 a day and we want to inject some new life into the game.

We are at the beginning of book 2 of the AP and you would start out at level 5.

The current party is.

Crossbow Fighter
Rogue
Wizard

The players are much less concerned about party makeup and optimization as they are just getting a good role player that will get excited about the game.

Any Race, Any Class, as long as I have access to the information you are using through the PRD.

20 Point Buy, 2 traits.

At this stage of the game you will be found by the PC's as a captured slave so focus more on your personality and less on your background.

I will let you know how much gold you can have very soon.

I do not use initiative rolls. Who ever posts first goes first. Other than that we use battle maps linked through google Docs.

Post here when your character is 100% complete. Your post should include what the other characters know about you, what you look like, quirks, ect. You all have been together for 2 weeks now traveling.

I want to see if there is interest in a high post volume play by post adventure path. By high post volume I mean 5+ posts a day. I am est time poster and like to do a lot of posting between 8am to 4 pm. I post less often but still often between 6 pm and 10 pm est. If I could find 4 others that post at similar times I think we could make some real progress in an adventure path.

In return I'd let you play any class, race, or alignment.

Concensus would decide what ap we do. I have runelords to shattered star and everything between.

Today is the 4th of Neth, just as the winter winds are beginning to blow. This is the day, in the year 4535, when Ekat Kassen and his men set out from town to find Asar’s camp and deal with the mercenary.

It is early morning and you know today is the day you have been chosen to be one of the ones to travel to Kassen’s crypt and light the silver lantern with the Everflame. This is a great honor as you know how important the Everflame is to the town of Kassen. The lantern will remain lit through the entire winter as a testament to the hardiness of the people who live here and there founder.

The ceremony will start at noon you have a few hours before it starts. You have been told to bring only what you need on this trip as in weapons, armor, and spellbooks. You have been told that other provisions have been provided for you.

If you need to adjust you gear at this point you can do so now.

Feel free to role-play between each other or with your family/mentors. Tell me when you character is ready for the ceremony to start.

I am making the Discussion thread for this game so I can give you info on who your mentors are and a little on the town you grew up in.

I would like you to discuss among yourselves how well do you know each other and how well do you get along? You all know each other at least casually as it is a town of only 750 people.

Also does everyone want to use hero points? I am falimlar with the idea but I have never used them.

I am concerned about the Mad Dog Barbarian. He looks powerful enough to overshadow the rest of the party. I would like everyone to weigh in on this as I said I am doing this game to learn.

I am new to Play by Post but I am enjoying myself with it so much I would like to try to run my own game. I want to run Crypt of the everflame before I jump headlong into an AP.

What I am looking for is between 4 to 6 players veteran or noob to the Play by Post system.

Character creation would be a 20 point buy. Starting at level 1 but for this one Core classes and races only. Max HP first level. 175 gold for your gear. Since this is my first time lets go good or neutrals only.

I am going to alter the pathfinder system in the following ways. The combat will be more of a free flow description rather than squares and threatening spaces. I am not going to post maps; I will just describe what is going on. Attacks of opportunity will be rare so if you need combat reflexes as a prerequisite to another feat you can have it for free as it does not really matter in my games.

The Crypt of the everflame is written in a way that it provides you with a back story so I just need character stats and a personality and we are ready to roll. Your character for this game will be a teenager from a small town so you will start out knowing each other. You do not have to like each other if you do not want to.

I want to learn PBP better so I can run some adventure paths if this goes well.

If you, the players, get attached to these characters in Crypt of the Everflame I can string together more modules and adventures to make a full campaign out of it.
