Hello, everyone.

Please read through the Extinction Curse Players Guide before creating your character.

Standard character creation rules apply. If you'd like access to an uncommon option, ask me if you wouldn't get access to it based on race, class, region, etc.

Make sure your alias has your complete character information in a readable format. Please don't post a link to a PDF character sheet; with secret rolls I will need to see that information directly by clicking on your alias.

Your status bar should include ancestry/background/class, AC, hit points, saves, and perception. Please include your training level for everything as a paranthetical (T for trained is fine, for example).

Please track spell slots, once per day abilities, etc. in your status bar as well, and keep up with them when using abilities. Do the same for your inventory; if you use a potion, remove it from your inventory in your alias.

Planned start is June 1st; feel free to dot in when the Gameplay thread is created. Players will have the opportunity to do a little introductory post and some minor roleplay between each other prior to the official campaign start.

You can use this thread, or the discussion thread, for any out of gameplay conversations you'd like to have.

Hello! This is going to be the first time trying Play-by-Post for most of you. It's easier than it looks! For now, please post the following in this recruitment thread, and I'll post a brief primer once we have a full table.

I need the following from each of you:

Player Name (The name you use on these forums, not your actual name)
ID#
Character Name
Character Faction
Day job and Day Job Roll if thats how you're spending your downtime*

*You're first dice roll! Anytime you need to roll a die, you'll need to type the following without the space after the first bracket and 'dice'

[ dice=Any Reason]Whatever dice + modifiers you want to roll[/dice]

So if I want to roll a 1d20+5 I'll put

[ dice=Day Job]1d20+5[/dice]

and get

Day Job: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

This is the general way all special stuff gets formatted here. You'll always have a code in brackets to start it and a code in brackets with a a / to end it. Same thing for bold text-- [ b] [/b]. If I want to have my character say Hello I'd type the following (without the space between the first bracket and b:

[ b]"Hello!"[/b]

And get "Hello!"

I like players to post at least once a day; I'll often post quite a bit more than that. Life gets in the way sometimes, but if you're going to have an extended absence just let me know in the discussion thread.

If more than 24 hours have passed and I need an action, I will generally bot your character to the best of my ability, without using consumables. If you have specific botting instructions, include them in your profile sheet.

Here's the discussion thread. If you have anything you need to talk about but don't want to clutter up the gameplay thread, do so here. Strategize, questions about leveling up, etc.

The atmosphere in Kintargo is tense. It's been nine days since Lord Mayor Jilla Bainilus disappeared—fled to Arcadia, the government says. It's been seven days since the Night of Ashes. That night, fires raged across the city as worshippers of proscribed gods, members of the Bellflower Network, and other 'subversive elements' disappeared throughout the city. All presumed dead or imprisoned, but no official statement has been released.

Even with the cobblestones of Argent Avenue and the foliage of Aria Park still wet from the morning’s light rain, of the opera house to protest the city’s new lord-mayor, Paracount Barzillai Thrune. The city’s new leader was appointed by Her Infernal Majestrix, Queen Abrogail II, in the wake of the previous lord-mayor’s sudden flight from the city— an event that still has local rumormongers whispering furiously. In a scant seven days, Paracount Thrune has instituted martial law, a curfew, and seven outlandish and polarizing proclamations. These actions and more have called many of Kintargo’s dissatisfied citizens here on this overcast morn. There’s been no sign yet of Barzillai Thrune himself, and the opera house’s doors remain tightly closed—as they have since the man chose the landmark as his new home—but judging by the growing sound of the protesters, he surely can’t ignore the scene on the streets below much longer.
You find yourselves among the crowd. The murmering crowd is made up of students, out of work laborers, concerned businessmen, upset theater enthusiasts, and concerned citizens. Some distance away, you see Chellish loyalists eyeing the crowd with distaste. The situation is calm at the moment, but things could turn ugly quickly.

Here we go, folks. Please at least allude to your reason for attending the protest in your first posts.

After you post and get your character approved, make sure you create a forum alias under that characters name, and use that page to set up the character sheet.

Alright folks, I'd appreciate it if everyone could post their characters here no later than 3/1/18. As long as everything is approved we could begin by next Friday.
