Now this is my personal opinion, but...

From what I have read alot of the grognards and self-centered power gamers (which drove me away from PF1) do not like the new system, so yes I would already say its a better game. xD

Also, on a more serious note, the book is beautiful and I am loving all the new changes to the system to the game. Streamlines everything. Math fixed (or at least improved) room for expansion without to many game breaking options.

I guess ill start and re clarify. This thread was suppose to be about introducing yourself and your char. This wasn't meant to be a start of the game/ place to talk in character.

Introduction

My name is Justin B and Ill be Gming this adventure. I have been GMing for about 8 years. I ran a couple PBP games on here years ago, but besides that I am pretty green to PBP. I have also ran about a dozen or so one-shots and an Ongoing campaign on Roll20, as well as close to 50 PFS games and countless other games/campaigns in my hometown.

I started out with 4E (ducks) and after some frustration with that system I found Pathfinder. However, it was not the system that I initially feel in love with, it was Golarion. It is such a rich, large and ever expanding setting that truly inspires me. I haven't looked back since.

Game Information

I have set everyone up with Roll20 character. In the time being please play around with the client. Get use to the dice rolling mechanics, typing in the chat room, and moving your icon around the board. I am creating a guide that will explain in depth how we will be using Roll20, but having these basics will help alot.

Please take a look at forum in Roll20 game and read the Galt Wiki (if you are not already familer)

More details about the Farm, security , living conditions etc will be presented at the start of the game. Some backgrounds (or "roles" rather) might need a little tweaking, and that will be covered in the beginning of the game as well. I still need to flesh some things out, so will get this going ASAP.

Shouldn't be a problem. In essence all we would be using is the map, and dice roller and chat log. All you would need to do is setup an account (free). It is very simple to navigate.

Roll20 will be used to handle all combat. Everybody does not need to log in at same time (voice will not be used) . It would work just like here on the fourms, each day you would log in (when convenient) and act out your turn . (Movement, attack rolls etc) at the end of the day,i will summarize everyones actions, give an update, and start the next round. Ideally, this should translate to a round of combat a day, speeding things up.

All religions of Golarion are acceptable.

You are a slave of Kentith Puhitcha, the largest grape grower in Galt and one of most productive wine manufactures in all of Golarion. Red Blade, the signature drink of the winery has become a favorite beverage of the Grey Gardner's. You work hard for long hours of the day. You are lucky to be fed two meals a day. Conditions are grim. The farm is located in the Horum Plain's west of the capital city of Isarn in the country of Galt. Some of you were born here. Others bought at various auctions. Your hard work has made the Puhitcha family very rich.

Most of your brothern and sistern are scared and weak. A few of you have shown courage and addressed wishes to escape or rebel, though most of the others wouldn't dare. Last night at the shack they call the "Halfling House" there was whispers among the halflings of trying to seriously plan an escape. The six of you, stood up and decided to work on a plan.

Escape from Galt will be an all halfling themed adventure. The characters will start out with low power and have to use their wits and each other to escape, if not survive.

What Im Looking For:
4-5 Players that:
-Enjoy Roleplaying
-Have Basic Knowledge of Golarion (Particularly Galt and Halflings)
-Are Mature (This campaign will deal with some darker themes and subjects, I intend to handle them respectfully and mature and looking for players who will do the same)
-Are able to post 1-2 a day regularly (Between paizo.com and Roll20.net)
-Want to play as Halflings!

NOTE This is a reattempt to start a campaign that I was going to run a couple months ago. If you created a char for that game, or responded to that post, I will give you priority (mention it in your submission).

I am running an adventure in Golarion (Absalom) this Sunday via Roll20 and could use a few more players.

Roll20.net is an easy to learn, fully functional virtual table top.

Newcomers welcome.

For more than 4,000 years, Absalom (pronounced AB-sah-lahm)has been the City at the Center of the World, a metropolis-sized showcase of the greatest treasures in all Golarion.

The district of Eastgate is an almost entirely residential district with many of its people working in other parts of the city. Far from the busy parts of the city, the residents of Eastgate rely on different forms of transports to quickly get across the metropolis. Recently one of the major providers of this transportation Losuin Starout, who owns and maintains a pack of Elephants has had become nonoperational. Many of the merchants and workshops in the Inner city are concerned, their business slowing to the halt with the many late and absent workers.

After some research I have found Roll20.net and that ties in more to what I am looking for as far as an online Pathfinder Game.

The citizens of Sandpoint have started reclaiming their lives after a vicious goblin attack left so many townsfolk dead or injured. On the heels of the disastrous Swallowtail Festival, the town's sage- an old man named Brodert Quink - expressed concern for his only niece, an idealistic girl named Lucendi, who apparently joined a group of explorers to search for Thassilonian ruins near the Ravenroost hills. Worried the same goblins may have overrun the expedition, Quink has offered to pay anyone you can assure her safe return.

A level 2 Adventure Written by Niel Spicer as featured in Wayfinder 7.

This is a one shot adventure. Looking For Four-Six Players.

When Janiven Returns she tells you that Arael will be transported out soon. Gorivo returns with the horses Janiven begins to speak.

Everybody that added "extra" actions please let me know if you would like to use these for round 1 or would like to act upon another action.

After a short while the Hellknights arrive on the road. Just as Janiven stated, there is a carriage with a large crossbow mounted on top, with about 6 Hellknights, hanging on plus there leader, Shauwn, as well as the four scouts on Horseback. When the Hellknights come to the bridge they stop, seeing the distraction ahead of them (Janiven made herself to look like bandits, ready to "ambush" The Order of The rack troops). They talk among themselves, not noticing the hiding party members, before sending their scouts ahead to investigate. When the scouts barely get out of site, Janiven and the other rebel's jump out, throwing caltrops down tripping the horses. Shauwn yells "Shit!! Turn this buggy around!!" but it is already to late.....

Scalavo speaks up. "We have not yet agreed to a name my lady. I have, however, acquired Full helms, cloaks and some red cloth, in case we want to go with a uniform we discussed last week."

He looks over to Dakka. "Yes that might be a hard one, but nothing a cloak might hide." He smiles. "Janiven and I agreed for everyone to wear either Hooded Cloaks or Full helms and tie band of red fabric to our arms, to hide our identities and at the same time, giving us a common identity to the public." He stops and looks around. "Anybody disapprove of this?"


Ravishar You are confusing me. Are we still sticking to Janiven's Plan or Creating a New One?

Janiven's Plan
There will be 10 Hellkinght Armiger's + There Leader Shauwn, a Stronger Hellkinght arriving Shortly. 6 of the Armigers ride with Shauwn on the Carriage while 4 ride on horseback. Janiven suggests (and is acting upon) that she and the other members of the group (NPC's) create a distraction (pose as bandits ..etc) down the road. Most likely they will send the four men on horseback ahead to investigate leaving the rest of the group (PC's) a perfect time to ambush the carriage.

Are you suggesting to jump out and try to negotiate with the hellknights after they have been distracted (just the carriage) or skip this plan altogether and start a new one, and address the hellknights when they are together as a full group?

Note: I meant a surprise action, not a redialed action, but everyone else seemed to understand this as well, so no need for edits. Also, I assumed these actions would happen after the distraction down the road, and the carriage was alone for ambush.

I thought everyone already agreed to this in game, if not please let me know how you would like to handle the situation.

Btw All. I assumed readied actions would go off after Janiven's distraction, not necessarily when the group of hellknights come into the party's range, let me know if you would like to act differently or at a different time.

Rizzardo gets up angrly. "WHAT?". The Hellknights have Arael WHY?"

A bald man , known as Sclavo, stands up. He looks across the hall, "I'm sure Janiven will know!!"
He makes his way into the hall, and then into the next room, quickly followed by, Amaya, Vitti, and most of the others.

Only Yakooulio, the thin and wiry woman, and another woman, decked out in jewelry remain in the Mess Hall/Kitchen.


Yakopulio give a warm response to Dakka's comment. "Yes perhaps, we do have more in common than we think." She looks over at Yuron as her yellow hair sparkles."Why would you come from such a peaceful free place to this hellhole?"


The man with the Green Hair gets up. "Howdy, Yuron, Names Vitti"

An tian woman stands up and introduces herself as Amaya and the halfing introduces her self as Fiosa.

A strong looking man with long hair, says "Ermolos is the Name." He looks over at Phaedra. "Sewers? Hellknights? What in Aroden's name are you talking about my lady?"


Vitti Speaks up
"I have already acquired some full helms and cloaks , so we are ready to use our uniform if needed."

Just then Yakopulio enters the room, and states "They are preparing to leave sooner then we thought, We need to leave in about 30 mins!"


Larko looks over at the Gnome and chuckles.

"Play on that? What do you mean by this Fizzwiddle?"


Fizzwidde:

You sell most items without trouble, however it was a little problem selling the horsecutter, but you eventually found a buyer. While in one of the Markets, you overhear some merchants talking about a string of robberies. Supposedly, there is a group of thieves, who paint there faces black, and have been robbing many of the merchants right before sunset.

Janiven addresses Guy. "They will be coming from the south" as Vitti enters the room.

The green haired man speaks. "From my reports there will be a total of 10 Hellkinght armigers (recruits) led by their sponsor, a young gifted, but low ranking Hellkinght Signifier named Shanwen."

"They will most likely be 4 scouts on horses while the others hang on/around one of there Hellknight carriages"

Guy:

Through your time with the Dottari you have seen these strange hellkinght carriages. a small boxy carriage with many side boards and handles for people to hang on. On the roof is usually mounted an extra large crossbow.


@Shannon. If you guys wanted to create another charcter for the other game that would be ok too...

The gnome looks up at Dakka. "Wow I have never meant one of your kind friend, My name is Yakopulio, and I love your suggestion 'Bright Object Holders'." She smiles.

On the table is a half loaf of bread and some beets.

A thin and wirey woman laughs at Yuron's suggestion "I like it." She looks over at Doran and Phaedra "What about you too any suggestions or names you like?' She sniffs the air "And whats that smell? Something smells like crap!"


I would like to thank you all for playinh, but unfortenuly I have bit off more then I could chew and im going to have to cancel the game. :( I may have a couple slots in the other game. Pvt msg me if interested

If it is not a special weapon, are you trying to use a bear trap as a melee weapon?
