*nods* Seeing that Radavel is after the same though, and not wanting to poach, I'll aim for a missionary.

I'm interested in applying with a run for the Rogue Trader position should that be possible. Failing that, my concept could work just as well as a missionary.

I'll work on a longer background if it appeals, but as a taster.

**

"My family did not give birth to me, I was not conceived as humans would and should be, it is our deepest secret, that I am heresy, embodied in the form of a saint. If they only knew the truth, that priesthood would see me born for desecrating their faith.

But they believe, and belief is strength. My family gave me wings, my family gave me strength, and beauty and intelligence. What do you see when an angel falls on a battlefield against the Imperium's enemies, thunderhammer and stormshield, power armour and glided wings?

None see a designed mutant.

The time was glorious for the dynasty, we reveled in our power and I was created to be the best of us, but all things rot and die. The dynasty fell, our ships were scattered, our power crippled and I did what no true saviour should ever do.

I fled.

I am bitterness now, anger and wrath and lurking in the dark places, distant from the Emperor's light. But I still have my wings, I still have the meaning that too many listen to."

I'd be happy to do that and to take up the role of RT as long as the players are happy with it. :) Just to clarify, how much of the old Constantine do you want me to keep? His origin path and exact history should stay the same?

My completed character sheet using the first set of stats (with modifcations for my origin path)

And my suggestion for joining the group:

Way to join:
That he's the most senior member of the Casmirre's Pride's suriving crew (not counting heretics), it'd tie in nicely with the Ship Lorn background. If the group rescue him and any other survivors from the ship (and I doubt there are more then a few hundred, if that) he'd join them if accepted, given that his ship is likely not the best place to hang around on anymore and he'd be in the market for a new ship to serve on.

Ah, that's my mistake, I didn't even notice that. I used the first set of stats I got, then started editing my post, but it was past editing time when I was done and I just repasted everything. The second set of rolls was a mistake, I'll edit them out.

Sorry, too much free time! However, I'll sitll have the sheet for storage and later use in any case. ^^

2d10 + 25 ⇒ (10, 8) + 25 = 43
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (8, 1) + 25 = 34
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (9, 10) + 25 = 44
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (7, 2) + 25 = 34
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (10, 5) + 25 = 40
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (5, 5) + 25 = 35
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (7, 5) + 25 = 37
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (5, 2) + 25 = 32
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (6, 7) + 25 = 38
2d10 + 25 ⇒ (8, 3) + 25 = 36

Then if you're happy with it, I'll roll up my stats here and put my guy together. :)

I know I asked this before (as Augustus) and I won't again if you still prefer to stay at the current number of players, but my attempts to find interested parties for another RT game here haven't had any success.

I'd very much enjoy joining your group from reading through your IC thread and I've read up a fair amount on the RT setting and the 40K universe. If it's a question of not wanting to lose the pacing of your game then I can promise I can post several times a day and would be able to keep up. :)

I also have an idea about how my character could enter the game based on current events, without causing disruption for you.

As said, I'll not spam your thread agian if you still prefer to keep things as they are, but thanks for hearing me out. :)

Hey all. :) I'm interested in playing a play by post game of Rogue Trader, but at the moment I'm afraid I'm on my own, and I'd need other players and a GM. Might anyone be interested in joining me? I hink RT can be massive fun to play, it just takes a dedicated group of players.

I'm also interested in a 4th ed game if one's going. :)

Well, Augustus is a very new clerk for the Imperial Guard and before that he was working on orgainsing food shipments. I wouldn't recomend him to be honest.

Cool :)

Las pistols, carbines and lasguns are listed as common so they should be readily available. The longlas, which is a sniper rifle, is scarce, so that would be harder to get hold of, the lascannon is rare, but you'd need a skill in heavy weapons to use it and I don't think any of us can start with that.

I'd take a look at the available options and think what might fit your character most. I do suggest you increase one of your stat ratings though, as that's usually a good bet. There are suggested xp packages in the corebook and Inquistor's handbook that might help as well.

Edit: Xal, I've just looked at the available Arbiter skills and talents for the first rank and don't have the ability to train in basic las weapons (you can still use them, but it'll be half your BS skill to use them), you can train in las pistols though. :)

There's a deference between basic training in las pistols and training in las pistols?

No, sorry, I didn't explain it too well. To use las pistols properly you'd only need training in laser pistols (which you have access to). To use the heavier laser weapons properly though, such as las carbines and lasguns, you'd need basic weapon training for laser weapons and I don't think you have access to that at your first rank.

Thanks. :) I've done a sheet in excel, using the Adept career from the corebook.

I've uploaded it here.

I'd like to go for an Adept who started out life as a bean counter on an agri world ^^ I haven't been able to catch my friend yet to tell her I found a source for a game, I'll try to get her today.

Dealing with the treachous Xenos sounds perfect to me. :)

Are we going with the standard 400xp starting package?

With four players it looks good, we'd just need a GM to run it. ^^

I was thinking of PBP, aye, and that sounds good Xal, we'd just need to find a GM. :) Thanks Mearrin, hopefully you'll find time for a game later on.

Does anyone here have any desire to run a DH game? Me and a friend were hoping to get into one, so if there's an interested GM and a few other players, we'd be very eager to get into a game. :)
