I realized that I had never read through Alahazra's backstory, so I came here. Apologies for the necro, but I found this little tidbit here funny enough that I had to comment on it, now that Iron Gods is out and complete. Never say never, indeed.
I could potentially be interested in this. I feel like an AP like Kingmaker would be easiest to run this way, as the kingbuilding rules allow for greater player autonomy. Too much work for the GM - who will also have a DMPC - could be really tough. I feel that an AP with more of a sandbox approach would therefore work best. I would vote for Kingmaker or Skull & Shackles if this takes off.
Dotting for interest. I'm pretty sure I'll be making a Cartomancer Witch (Portents Patron), but a Destined Bloodrager also looks appealing. Two quick questions! Would you prefer I gave the Slumber hex a complete miss, or is it more of a "you can have this hex, but only use it in dire situations...and if there's any Slumber cheese, all monsters will curiously gain immunity to sleep"? Feel free to tell me straight up not to take it; I'd like to have it as a potential ace up my sleeve, but as a complete stranger, I can understand trepidations in allowing me to take it no matter how responsibly I claim I will use it. If I want to buy more spells (ie, scrolls to "teach" to my familiar), do you want me to roll each spellcraft check, or will that be handwaved so I can just drop them into my
Urg, interested in a lot of these. Courts of the Shadow Fey probably gets my top pick; I heard about it briefly on a PaizoCon podcast, and as a fan of The Dresden Files, I love the general insanity that accompanies the fey. Plus Wolfgang Bauer is one of my favorite writers. The Legend of Zelda game sounds very fun, and I'm interested to see how that will be put together. I really lack the Final Fantasy experience to strongly vote to play in that setting, having only played 4 and 6. But it sounds really cool! |
