I haven't been able to find an explanation for this animosity between the two races, maybe it was left out? Would love to hear more about it.

In a lot of ways, the First World and the Plane of Shadow are opposites—they're like mirror reflections of each other on opposite sides of the Material Plane.

Gnomes trace their lineage to the First World, while the wayangs trace it to the Plane of Shadow.

That should get folks thinking in the right direction. We haven't had much more to say about the two races and their interactions yet though.

See I get the feeling that just saying they hate each other just because they're Shadow Plane and First World is opening up a can of worms, just how far does this go?

What about Fetchlings? What about Gathlain? What about the various shadow and fey creatures? Do they all instinctual hate each other? Should we expect Fey and Shadow bloodline sorcerers to not get along?

You don't have to answer those questions, they're just things I can see my players asking. I look forward to seeing what you guys come up with for the two races in the future though. Thank you.

Okay looks like I just wasn't thinking on the Ride skill but Diplomacy isn't a class skill for Druids.

I just noticed Faun the druid has a +5 Diplomacy and only +1 in Ride. Am I missing something here?

They've also forgotten to put in both the stats and the picture for the brothel while keeping it in the discount section of the Arena, Black Market, and Theater. Brothel is even mentioned in the Kingdom Events Drug Den, Plague, and Slavers so it's definitely suppose to be in there.

Well the weasels are still on their face, the opponent still has to burn an action to do something about it. This just makes it better to use with disposable weasel minions.

It's not just wizards, it's any class that uses some kind of spellbook. So Magi, witches and wizards are out of the 2 new spells and Alchemists are out 1 per level that they would otherwise get. They're not bonus spells, they're what they get for being a spellcaster.

It doesn't seem that much of a game breaker to let them advance their spellcasting just like any other caster. I really don't understand why the developers made that decision. Perhaps they were just tired of getting asked that question so much?

So I'm building an Ifrit character and this question popped into my head, does an Ifrit's fiery hair provide illumination? Does it burn? Can you damage something with it? If they die does it go out? How can you cover it up? Will my party members try to use my character's hair as a cooking fire? What happens if an Ifrit goes underwater? So many questions.

Fire Mountain Games is pleased to announce its next product line. Starting in early 2013 we will be releasing "Throne of Night".

"Throne of Night" will be a campaign where your characters need never see the sun. Build an empire in the depths of the earth and defend it against all foes. Explore an alien world beyond imagination and make it your own.

I now have a reason to hope the Aztecs won't destroy the world this year.

Must now find the perfect class and feat combination for maximum weasel output.

By the way the spells Summon Minor Ally, and Summon Minor Monster both let you summon 1d3 weasels so there is now no longer an excuse for any spellcaster to not use weasels in donut boxes.

Also might try to make a bag of tricks into a bag of weasels then you can throw them at people's faces.

I a little side adventure for some of my group to give them a little more xp. They ended up getting attacked by some thieves and one character, who had just gotten a new Bag of Tricks and just couldn't wait to try it out, was able to summon a rhino with his Bag of Tricks on the first try. His Rhino then proceeded to kill the thieves and destroy the building they were in. The owner of said building was furious and refused to pay them any reward for stopping the thieves so they threaten him with the rhino until he coughed up the cash.

And when I ran a game of We Be Goblins at Gen Con 2011 there was a 9 or 10 year old boy playing with his dad. I think he played the perfect goblin. During the goblin feast and the dares he was the one who was able to ride Squealy Nord, and because of this he thought he could ride anything and everything.
Giant spider "I want to ride it!"
Dog "I want to ride it!"
Giant frog "I want to ride it!"
Horse "I want to ride it!"
"What kind of goblin are you?"
"One that rides on things."

Just a few suggestions that sprung to mind.

How about a fat witch that wants to cook and eat rare delicacies, like the heart of a king marinated in the blood of his first born. You could even have this part of the campaign become a mystery, children are disappearing, or one of the Kingdom's Leaders has vanished under mysterious circumstances. As for the Fat Witch herself you could give her some levels in the Bloatmage prestige class.

Or how about a terribly ugly witch or hag that wants to marry one of the PCs and to do this she is killing off the most beautiful women in the land to make a wedding dress from their skin. Just imagine a swamp set up to look like some kind of macabre wedding with dead flowers and the remains of her victims on the groom's side and inhabitants of the swamp on the bride's (Hehe I just got a mental image of a Shambling Mound in a tux and top hat). And you could make her so ugly/hideous and also smelly that you could give her the Stench ability. Oh and the fat witch could make the wedding cake out of babies!!

Maybe one who has a champion that she is helping and manipulating to conquer the territories while her sisters help sabotage the PCs kingdom. Make the champion an Antipaladin or Cavalier or whatever you want really, just high level and evil basically. Maybe throw in some special powers that his witch benefactor has bestowed upon him, like regeneration (that could let him keep coming back after the PCs think they've killed him) or he can turn into some kind of monstrous form, play around with templates or give him an alchemist mutagen or something.

That's all I can think of right now, hope it helps.

Classes I haven't seen specifically mentioned: Antipaladin, Gunslinger, Ninja, Samurai and Druid. I'm wondering why no one has singled any of them. Each of them could make a good ruler based on how some people debate for this class or that class.

Antipaladin-Who better to rule an evil kingdom? He's got charisma, a god on his side and no pesky things like "morals" to get in his way of getting stuff done and making sure the people know who's boss. You can't argue with the results.

Gunslinger-Wisdom should be an important aspect for any ruler, that and once you outfit your armies with your favorite kind of weapon the world will know of your clear superiority.

Ninja-Hey here's that charisma again, plus all the important skills you need with points to spare. It doesn't hurt having a clan of your shadow brothers to enforce your rule either.

Samurai-Who better to rule by the sword and to rule with honor?(See also Cavalier)

Druid-Creating a kingdom that lives in harmony with nature with a king who rules with wisdom, who can guarantee the crops will grow, and can also have this! We may just have the best one yet.

But seriously any class can rule, how well is determined by the character and the character is only as good as what you make of it.

I thought that the "Summer" was just a time when the seasons acted as what we would call normal with mild winters and that the "Winter" was a time when the sun wouldn't rise for months or years.

But does this only happen on the continent of Westeros or is Winter felt all over the world? I'm not very familiar with the books is why I ask.

Alright, thanks a bunch!

So can you take these two archetypes together? I ask because while these archetypes don't replace the same class abilities the disease resistance from the Internal Alchemist wouldn't turn into disease immunity because the Chirurgen replaces poison immunity.

So can you still have both of these archetypes on the same character?

I once started trying to simulate this battle using the Mass Combat rules in Kingmaker. It started getting pretty crazy with 5 armies of 2,000 orcs.

This should help you and give you some of the numbers you need.

Okay thanks a lot. Those PCs aren't going to know what hit 'em.

Okay I have this scenerio planned out but I'm not sure about something. The scene is the PCs have their backs to a pit and in front of them are kobolds mounted on rams and armed with lances. My plan is to have the kobolds charge and hit them with their lances and then the rams would bullrush the PCs into the pit.
Keep in mind that this would be similar to a knight on horseback charging, attacking with a lance and then overrunning the target.
So basically what I'm asking is can a mount perform an attack or combat maneuver at the same time or on the same turn that the rider attacks?

Okay so the ruler in my kingmaker game doesn't have the best Charisma score so now he wants to take a wife to give his kingdom a little boost. So what I need is a list of possible suitors with good charisma scores. And before any of you post it should be known that he has refused to marry the Old Beldame.

If a character wants a tougher, more powerful fighting Magus, then there may need to be one stream for that. If the player wants a more powerful magic caster, their should be a stream for them.

I don't think they need a choice or different stream for either of those, it really comes done to how you build the character. For example if I want a tough fighting magus I can make a dwarf with high strength, wield a dwarven waraxe, take toughness for the 1st lvl feat, take +1 hit point for favored class and cast shield when combat starts.

So at 1st lvl that's at least 12 HP
damage is d10+ 1 1/2 strength mod
and AC is 17 or higher
the attack bonus is just 1 off of the regular fighter and this can be overcome with magic weapon, true strike or even shocking grasp in a pinch(+3 to hit enemies wearing metal armor) and that's without any buffs from teammates.

It's all about what stats you have and what spells you choose. You can make a front line fighter type if you play your cards right, he might not be the best front line fighter but he he will be a front line fighter who can blast or zap enemies with spells and won't get hit by magic missiles.

That isn't to say that they can't make some magus archetypes with alternative class features. I would be interested to see what they come up with for those.

Well since it looks like a lot of people hate the magus because they don't know what role it plays I figure I should go ahead and point that out. To use (shutter) 4th editions terms a magus is a striker/controller that means that they can get in there and put the hurt on 1 enemy or they can help control the battlefield with their spells. How well they do this is entirely up to the player, but generally they won't be any better or worse than any other character. Sometimes they'll shine and sometimes they won't.

Somethings that I would like to see changed with it are more skills and skill points, perhaps a way for them to store a touch spell in their weapon so they could cast another spell without losing the touch spell they just cast, and I would like to see some more magus arcana.

Okay so I bought the Harrow deck and got my players hooked on playing Towers. But now having just read the Prodigal Sons 4 of 6 in Kingmaker Blood for Blood in which they were playing Towers of Sellen so now my players all want to know how to play Towers that way and I have no idea how to come up with rules for it. Help me out here.
