"These goblins attacked me and my friends, and it seems they have been attacking innocent folk too. I intend to put an end to that."- says Flynn as he sits by the fire - "I admit I don't know much about the circle of Eth, but I'd like to think guardians of the green are against the slaughter of innocent people in the name of an evil goddess, so I came to you, hoping that you could offer us assistance, or at least, some useful information."

"I'm indeed from a outside. My homeland is many miles from here. I'm in a journey to learn more about the natural balance of the world, so that I teach others how to live without disturbing it. I'd like to know more about this circle of Eth." (Flynn waits for Avarthel to tell more about the circle of Eth before mentioning the goblins again) Flynn takes a wooden stick sitting around and uses it to draw a crude representation of the holy symbol he found on the hobgoblin raider. "About those hobgoblins... They seem to be part of a cult of some sort. Our party was attacked by a group led by a hobgoblin priest whose holy symbol consisted of multiple dragon heads of different colors... Can you tell us anything about them? Maybe the location of their hideout."

"I did take a look around town... But if I am to make inquiries about it, I might as well start by asking the opinion of a fellow guardian of the green." Flynn throws a few bread crumbs to nearby birds and continues to speak. "More importantly... Can you tell us about the recent goblinoid raids?"
Male Human Druid (Menhir Savant) - HP 36/36; AC 21 (touch 12; flat-footed 19); Perception +14; Sense Motive +12.
Flynn greets the half-elf with a friendly smile. When he speaks, he does so in the secret language used by druids. "Ah, you must be Avarthel, the local guardian of the wilds!"- at this point, Flynn then starts to speak in plain common, so that Kenchi can understand him. "It's always a pleasure to meet another warden. My name is Flynn, this is my friend, Kenchi. We're newcomers to this town, and would like to know more about it and its citizens." Did anyone ever get around to telling Flynn about the significance of the hobgonlin's holy symbol? BTW, I think Kenchi's missing 2 known languages.

Diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15 To be clear, my idea was just to observe the daily activities and maybe overhear something interesting... e.g.: I wouldn't find out about Avarthel or personal opinions, but I'd see the overall state of affairs in the city and find out if there is some place where druids and the like gather together... You know, stuff you can find out by observing, rather than asking.

Flynn walks around town, trying to learn more about the town and it's citizens. He is particularly curious about how the locals see druids, fey and other nature related creatures. He mostly observes his surroundings, without saying much other than the occasional greeting to whoever finds the time to say hello. Flynn has always been curious about cities, seeing them as the humanoid equivalent of bee hives. He learned long time ago that most common folk would rather have a good relationship with nature, but they often forget or don't even know how to maintain balance, and it's Flynn's duty to enlighten them. Flynn speaks with a calm, almost somnolent voice as he adds yet another webbing to his pouch. "I don't enjoy spilling blood... But it's preferable to seeing innocent people pay the price for my inaction... Besides, I could use the fresh air..." He turns to the two new-comers and speaks. "So... What do you guys know of these goblinoids? Anything that could help us to find and defeat them? The ones we fought seemed to be part of cult." Just because I'm paranoid, I take 10 on both Perception (total +24) and Sense Motive (total +12) to notice anything odd or simply worthy of note in Norro and Soranna. In fact, it's easier to assume I constantly take 10 on those 2 skill checks (assuming I can take 10, of course).

Flynn sighs a bit. He seems somewhat disappointed with the perspective of sleeping indoors. "Well... It probably doesn't have the comforting breeze, relaxing cricket sounds and beautiful night skies of the wild, but I suppose it's good enough for a night's rest... We should check if the locals know anything about the posse of goblins that attacked us." The young druid carefully collects a few specimens of poison ivy and stores them in his spell-components pouch.

Intimidate: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9 Do we get a bonus for... You know... Having him defeated, unarmed, entangled and with a blade to his throat? "Personally, while I don't mind cutting throats, I'm not particularly inclined to do it either, and my friend here mentioned bringing you to see a court of justice, so maybe you have a chance... Besides, there are all sorts of different ways to die. Some of them are slower and more painful than others..."

I can't see the image, Nicos. Flynn handles the potions, scroll and holy symbol to Spica. "I have this feeling you're not being frank... Would you be more inclined to talk with a blade on your throat?" says Flynn as he puts his scimitar close to the hobgoblin's neck. Is there anything we should know about the region? e.g.: Are hobgoblins attacks common in this road? Do they usually have hell-hounds with them?

I usually use my alias for posting anything in the gameplay thread, including ooc posts... Unless it's completely irrelevant to the game. Flynn carefully searches the hobgoblin for weapons, spell components pouches and anything that might be dangerous, valuable or simply interesting. I take 10 on both Perception (total 24) and Sense Motive (total 22) "So... Anything you wanna tell us? You can tell me... Or my friend with the greatsword and armor with the holy symbol of Gorum... Your choice."

I dunno... I suppose I use SNA III to summon a Dire Boar... I don't want to solo hell hounds. EDIT: Oops. Nvm. Dire Boars are SNA IV (Although apparently they can be summoned with SNA III in King's Maker. Why?). Flynn summons an Auroch instead.

Flynn once again opens the earth under his enemies' feet. (i.e.: I cast Create Pit (Reflex 15) on the 2 Hobgoblins closest to Flynn. By Calistria's Ass! I completely forgot, but I have 2 freaking castings of Liberating Command prepared!!! oO (As an immediate action) Flynn casts Liberating Command on Spica. Dafuq?! I thought I had already acted on this round. oO Flynn moves a little bit to flank the Hobgobling engaged in combat with one of Spica's elementals, hoping to remove one of the enemies from combat.
