Fenrik cleans off his blade from the goop of the black pudding and then rejoins the others.

"OK.... if you say so..." Fenrik says with a confused look on his face but does the book-smart person's bidding...taking a 5 ft step and attacks the pudding once...

"careful buddy... you almost stepped in something bad... right there.. see it... clear as day...lemme see what I can do." Fenrik says stepping up and tries to disable the trap.

After arriving at the southern edge of the ruined Keep, Fenrik begins to move as quietly as possible with his sword in hand stopping at the first ruined wall....

Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

"If that is the plan.... then i can help be sneaky..."

As the group moves forward past the scared guards Fenrik slaps Harrow on the shoulder saying "Those guards wanted non of your anger nor my blade.... ha ha ha"

Fenrik seems impressed by the surly half-orcs loudness in the face of the guards. The swordsman even flinched a bit when the cavalier bellowed... but then tried to hide it.

Fenrik eyes the guards after Harrows yelling to see if the guards leave them alone or if the group will test their steel...

"That is a hefty question you ask... standing openly against the powerful Surtova family... years ago perhaps I would have stood against them.. in public no less... but now that I am a pathfinder I seek other ways to thwart nefarious plots than just open combat...." Fenrik responds to Sylvanna.

Fenrik listens to her manner of speech and tilts his head when he detects a bit of wistfulness in her voice...

He opts to keep his mouth shut as he is definitely not the silver tongue charmer his friends are...

Upon seeing her Fenrik will call out a typical friendly local greeting so as not to alarm them. "Ho! Well met fair lady. Nice to see you out and about." he shows his hands open and empty for the guards, one can never be too careful in these lands.

Once Fenrik sees the halfling pay for the entire group the swashbuckler pockets the coins he was counting out rather slyly.

"Uh... yeah... thanks... not really what i was asking for but..." the swordsman says taking the water and sipping it.

Fenrik sighs as he gives the priest a scowling look. He takes his coin pouch out and counts out 20 gold using the copper and silver coins first before finishing off the remainder in actual gold coins.

"Anything to drink in this place?"

"Better to save your monies... all these 'tellers predict the same thing- love, loss, wealth, fame... anything that could happen anyway."

"Feel sorry for that man... better to stay single nowadays."

Fenrik gives his companions a look as if asking 'how much do we tell this fop?'

"You could try crass..." Fenrik remarks looking at Hollow as he says it...

A tad uncomfortable being back in the lands that took everything from his family Fenrik tries to recall what he knows about the Noble Houses...

"Dont forget that the soldiers with yellow tabards wear the crest of House Orlovsky, while the soldiers in the dark tabards wear that of House Surtova. The disappearance of former ruling Brevic family, House Rogarvia, caused a massive divide between the remaining noble houses. Despite House Surtova’s previous favored status, Rogarvia loyalists now consider them usurpers. These loyalists include House Orlovsky, which is known for its staunch fealty." he reminds them trying to get them ready for the political intrigue they will face.

Once the group begins to engage persons of interest Fenrik keeps quiet knowing that his tongue is not dipped in honey like Mareqs but is dripped in acid to intimidate should that need arise.

Apologies. Got hit up with a sudden massive travel workload these last weeks. It isn't over yet but I do have a few days respite before I have to go again.

After seeing the half orc burst onto the scene acting like an uncouth scallywag Fenrik asks Harrow and then the others "Are you going to be a problem on this mission? Is he going to be a problem? This could be a delicate situation we face... we have no time for ... whatever he is."

"Juuuuust great.... going back to my homelands. I didnt leave there last time in the best of regards... not after leaving some toffy minor noble with a dueling scar. I've heard of the Surtova and Orlovsky noble houses. My family never had any dealings with them. Heard one of the Orlovsky's was an athlete, pretty good one too. For you new folks to the area- lots of Gorum folks, and Pharasmans. Political intrigue is everywhere, one of the reasons why I left. Some folks will be quick to anger and if they have a slender blade like this one shows you his dueling sword at their hip then leave them to me. While not quite like Ustalav- some parts of the area can get fairly creepy and scary." Fenrik tells the others as they journey to the border region.

"This better be worth it. I had a paying gig lined up and was ordered to come to this briefing instead. Where are we going?" a rough looking sellsword says walking into the room. He stops over by the bar, opens and sniffs all the bottles before settling on one that pleases him. He pours the drink into a cup and sits down looking over the others.

"You aren't the dwarf I am concerned about." Fenrik responds to Tytus. The human takes a cup of tea from Tobias and then pours some brandy into it from his flask. "For luck" he says to anyone who watches, then sips the tea.

"No one said anything about dwarves on this venture..." the human swordsman says ignoring the recent newcomer.
