For one ground based, bringing down something related to air was worthy of praise but there was something else that needed to be done..

I always wanted to test how much defence Faerin has to go.

One of my favorite things about 2e is that you can have "bosses" that actually feel like bosses. Fights like these in 1e always feel so anti-climatic.

Well the writers are under constraints and the players are munchkins.... :P

With Enhanced Speed and the barrier gone, the Dwarven Paladin with her weapon raised prepares to deliver pain to him.

Faerin downs the potion of fly and joins the rest in flying though she doesn't much care for it.........

"I'll take point." and she does as Faerin walks in first...

"So we can't do anything with this for now. best for us to move on and get with the mission."

Faerin looks around to see if she can spot anymore of their observers.

"Take the lead, if anything else I'll bear the brunt of anything hostile. Faerin whispers back as well.

Faerin strikes without pause as her warhammer propelled by magically hasted strong arm slams into her target as if she was attempting to forge an item.

Thank you. Not as high an AC as some others I've seen but I have poor movement so this has to mitigate it somewhat.

At least this thing doesn't have DR or hardness like some other constructs....

Faerin true to form stands her ground and slams her blessed hammer at the creature. She feels her limbs stiffen but it doesn't stop her from swinging!

Her mind was like a mountain itself and would not be bothered by a tendril of fear attempting to shake it.

Faerin too agrees to being enlarged.

With the mist seeping into the room, she steps forward as she unslings her seldom used shield and brings up her warhammer.
Her shield like her armor isn't made of steel nor is it made of wood but some hide of an animal...

AC increased to 32 with shield and haste.

Sounds good to me.
I'm mostly defence melee.

Faerin stays silent so as not to give the game away.

Watching how her companions act, she attempts the same or if it proves too difficult does not act on that.
Following them down the lift though seemed simple enough.

"It's impossible for me to demonstrate fire cantrips as I have no ability for any at all." she says.

"We could attempt Disguise but again I'm not skilled in that and will require aid though of course if someone has magical abilities to aid in our disguise that would be good."

"It's a start and we didn't have to open this up with bloodshed. It bodes well for us." Faerin adds on

Oh heck no, I'm never going to penalize non-violent or creative solutions. We have a terrible reputation of being murder-hobos, so I love when people can talk through things and find alternatives to murdering things.

What reputation?

Faerin raises her eyes as the group agrees to back down.

Dana was gifted with the gift of gab it seems.

"I see now." Faerin says to herself sadly.

"Same wind blows for both of you then." she does not see that there is a chance for them to resolve this peacefully.

"Perhaps we might wish to persuade the other party to not join this voyage." the dwarf speaks.

"You said 3 choices. There's only two." Faerin stirs as she points that out.

Other then that she could have being hewn from rock herself.

Faerin's stride is firm and steady as she takes her own seat.

Noting the Captain's Discretion, she nods in acknowledgement to her words.
Seeing that Navi was likely their impromptu leader in this, she leaves it to her to speak for them.

lol. Not very charismatic aren't we.

The dwarf accepts the potion from Navi with a both hands.
"You have my thanks for this gift. It'll be returned if it isn't unused."

Making sure to secure the vial in her pouches for easy access when needed, she looks at the rest.
"I suppose we're ready to go?"

I'm mostly landlocked so have none of those Chronicle sheets on this character.

"In that case, then we should be off. The only spell I would need then is a way to see invisible warriors then but hopefully we can get this done without a fight."

In answer to the sylph's question the dwarf answers readily,
"My armor is made of specially treated Stone and crafted by some of the finest smiths of my clanhold. The weight takes some getting use to but its advantage is that most spells or creature that could affect metal armor doesn't affect me that much. Also as stonelord, it seems fitting that the protection of the very earth itself should armor me in battle."

"Is there a way we could get scrolls or potions of fly? Or are those not needed in these plane? I'm more of a land bound warrior then most."

"Nothing Much." Faerin replies to the latest newcomer. Looking to see his garb and symbol.

"We need to take out this horrible racist Belker by the name of Grasping Storm, while incognito as a mercenary group which we will take over so as to gain entry into this Fortress Purest Air." she pauses.

"And right now, we're asking to see if our allies here can give us more information. Well met. I am Faerin Boulderstep, Stonelord in service to Torag."

The dwarven paladin listen intently as their latest companion explains the peculiarities of the Plane they were in.
It sounded like she would be unable to summon her companion then.

As The Venture Captain that summoned them welcomes them himself,she walks in and takes her seat even as she hears him commenting about missing one more.........

A dwarf enters soon, her gait steady a typical trait of her race.

However one would find her garb interesting.

Rich Brown and greys is her raiment. Unlike the shiny steel or dullled leather one would expect of most warriors, this one comes in Stone carved armor.

Her own weapon looks interesting, a flail heavy ball etched with images of stylized eagles and sunbursts and a warhammer strapped to her back in a crosswise fashion yet easy to draw when needed.

A symbol of Torag hangs over her neck.
All in all she makes a solid dwarven woman.

"Greetings. I be Faerin Boulderstep of Clan Boulderstep. A Humble Stonelord in the Service of Torag. I have come in answer to a summons! I hope to be off service to all of you."
