Fabian swings at the yeast viciously, before once again raising his shield!

Fabian moves up next to Fey, raises his shield, and takes a slash at the ooze. "How does something like this even come into existence?!"
Fabian raises an eyebrow as he reads the inscription. "A cannon would certainly be a useful weapon if we had to fight a demon." He mutters before turning towards Endoin as he calls for blasting the mirror. "Do any of us know how to fire a cannon? Is there even anything for us to fire out of it?"
Fabian playfully rolls his eyes at Fey's joke. "Sure can. Where to?"
Fabian opts to try to take a page out of Fey's book and just be nice to this guy. "So Jassim, tell me about yourself." And hopefully Jassim will talk a lot about himself and he won't regret this at all.
Hey Fey, I don't know how to break it to you but I'm not into guys. And I'm not that great of a liar. He replied back to her. And he didn't know how to break it to Jassim either, just smiling awkwardly back at the man.
"My apologies." Said Fabian, after having unintentionally kept this man waiting so long. "In terms of books, I guess go for a biography of someone interesting? People make for good page-turners, in my experience."
With the potion gambit unsuccessful, Fabian attempts to dig a tunnel to help his stealthier teammates sneak in. Can't hurt, right?
"As dishonorable as it is, I can attempt to make a concoction. Something that will put the guards to sleep so that you all can do your job without having to worry about them."
"I lack skill in either thievery or stealth, so I'm not particularly certain how I can aid you in this effort, since this doesn't seem like it'll call for any combat."
"Fabian Hightower. I fight because that's how I choose to serve the Lady of Valour."
Wayward Wanderers is pretty good, yeah.
"It certainly escalated quicker than I had thought it would. Very competitive."
"Good idea! All of you, focus their bag, then drop the halfling. I'll get the remaining bags!" Fabian moves into position to leap for an undamaged bag and then does so.
Actions:
Stride, Stride, Jump And if he can, he'll try and shield the bag after making the jump.
Fabian grabs the bag next to him and throws it onto the platform before running to get in position to make the jump for another. Actions: Throw bag, Stride, Stride
Fabian tosses his first bag up, then nods in response to Tamhar. "Good thinking, get ready to run these back to the pedestal!" He picks up the second bag and attempts to heft it over as well.
And does! Somehow his arm muscles are not exhausted at all! He pops down the elixir of life so that he can stay up longer. "Thank you." And then he climbs out of the water. Actions: Throw bag, drink, climb
As Fabian fights off the spell, he momentarily wonders if he cuckolded the opposing team in a past life, before moving back towards his team's platform and throwing the bag up on top of it. Actions: Stride, Throw
After taking a big hit, Fabian calls upon Iomedae's magic to keep him upright, before taking a leap at the bag across from him!
Actions: Heal,Long Jump
Having finally reached the platform near the water, Fabian backs up to gain some momentum before pulling himself up on the platform and leaping towards the nearest bag!
Actions: Stride, Long Jump
Fabian rushes forward, closer to the water while also focusing on his spell and expanding the emanation of Iomedae's blessing. Actions: Sustain, Double Stride
Fabian grips his holy symbol before rushing forth. "Lady of Valor, show your favor upon us in this trial!" Actions: Cast Bless and Stride
"Endoin, I don't think that they'll have us fight to the death. That tends to be a poor method of bringing in new recruits."
Fabian takes the time to eat some food and actually enjoy it. The food is good and an hour in peace is more time than he's had to eat food before and he knows that it's more than he'll get when he's on the job. When Fey asks what the group is in for, he gives the best answer he can, from what he's experienced before. "Hopefully good jobs, but that also means that a lot of the time the food won't be as good and we won't have as comfy conditions as these to eat in."
"Can't say I've heard of Benny Lava. I'm no musician and most of the music I've heard was either from some random tavern bard, or bad marching songs from my old company." Fabian doesn't quite sit on the hammock yet. "I don't have any means of helping us relax either. I should've brought cards or something. Didn't think of how boring boat travel could be."
Fabian listened silently as the captain announced the rules, half-amused at how he needed to repeat them just to emphasize the fact that the cat was not to be touched or interacted with in any way. "What's with the cat?" |
