Actually, the fact the rogue was inside Skull Rot (this was prior reuniting with him) meant we didn't have a "quiet" door opener (we did have the barbarian though;) and we were trying to be somewhat stealthy, it seemed like a viable option.

Good thing I have a spy "helping" to track down the resources needed to destroy the pillars ;)

I played the 1/2 orc evoker, and just want to say thanks again for an awesome campaign Dodo, and I look forward to the next one :)

I put my top 10 (ok, 11) in the "We are victorious!" thread below.

I think the ones that stood out for me were:

1- Flood Festival, prepping and then having it come off as well as it did.

2- Tax Riots, form the 1/2ling rogue with a hat of disguise as "Roger Taxwell", to the saving of a fellow mage by my PC.

3- Failing to save our poor fighter (who became a puddle of Chaos Monster goo), while not a success, it was very memorable.

4- Bob the Mimic (RIP) we took him home and my PC set him up in the tipped tankard as a guard and pet.

5- Forgetting to stake a vampire after killing her, leaving her a note saying we sold her stuff and to stay away or we will permanently take you out, and then running into her again, and having her escape again :)

6- My PC (ok, me) picking on the Cleric's PC about his lack of magical prowess (he was 2 or so levels lower than my PC)- "What do you mean you can't cast 9th level spells?" and "I can't believe I am saying this, but I wish the cleric back to life, sigh."

7- Abusing Time Stop

8- Abusing Time Stop with a Greater Rod of Extend <EVILGRINN>

9- "Fighting" the Red Dragon with Crazy Jared

10- The fantastic job our DM did with breathing life into the NPC's

and one more

11- Hot Toddy ;)

Here is our groups "checklist":

The Thirteen Assume ~15-20 level for remaining members

Alurad Sorizan + Flesh Ripper the fiendish dire badger
Not much is in here besides the name. Haven’t encountered him/her.
He has a morbid fascination with slaughter (very icky) cloak and gloves of human skin, shaggy black hair, blood red tattoo patterns on his face. Shield with Eyrthnal on it. Divine caster. The other CW don't like him very much (too icky for them).

Ardeth Webb
First to join with Dyr’ryd. Monk we fought and killed in Fiery Sanctum.

Dyr’ryd
Leader of the Thirteen. A shator demondand with a conjoined twin. Killed in Fiery Sanctum.

Embril Aloustinai
High priestess of the Cathedral of Wee Jas. We haven’t seen her since the Flood Festival last fall.
Probably the highest level CW still alive. Talk that she is worshiping Nurell. Main contact to the people on Carceri. She was on to us and wanted the CW to institute a plan "B" in addition to the tree to accomplish their ultimate goal. She is hot.
Vince turned her into a pile of dust on Carceri. Had some decent loot and an ok spell book. Did the heavy work for getting off this plane.

Freija Doorgan
Magic item creator. Responsible for enchanting the Tree of Shackled Souls. Killed her in Fiery Sanctum.

Gau Kleeoch
Minotaur barbarian in charge of defending the Fiery Sanctum. Killed him in the Fiery Sanctum.

Kyan Winterstrike- In Skullrot (insane asylum) On Carceri.
Sniper, killer, and explorer. Haven’t encountered her.
Elfin Archer (arcane?) of some sort. In love with Virdin Daragor (drow). Once bitter rivals, now in love with each other. Speculation that they have been touched with the madness of Adamarcus. Jade green eyes, midnight blue hair ornate silver headdress.
She needs to re-read her DMG PClass description for powers. Initial impression is that she is not terribly effective. Animating her boyfriend might prove to be an effective way to get to her, although dating a Dry-zit clone doesn't speak well for her mental fallacies. Has a 120k gp item (actually, a "lesser" version of a 120k gp item).
In the mad house? Turned into a flesh golem- not confirmed... Where is she... humm
Stupid bad guys kill stealing :( At least we have her stuff.
Leave her here to rot.

Nulin “Fish” Wiejeron
Primary assassin of the Thirteen. Killed him in the Fiery Sanctum.
Lesson learned, don't bring an assassin to a barbarian fight.

Shebeleth Regidin
Priest of Adimarchus. Also really funny when someone with a lisp says his name. Killed him in the Fiery Sanctum.

Ssythar (Chosen One) Nahazir
Half-blooded Yuan-ti. Caretaker of their secondary stronghold. Haven’t encountered him/her.
Believes he is a prophet of Merrshaulk (god of the Yaun-ti) and is gifted with divine insight (I wonder if he saw us coming :). He has a serpentine head and scales, wears a cloak to conceal his nature. Casts spells.
We sent him to talk to Merrshaulk directly, I hope it goes well :)

Thearynn "Mr. Cloud" Louvel
Specialist in conjuration and planar magic. Affectionately (not really) known as “Mr. Cloud” finally killed him in the Fiery Sanctum.

Thifirane Rhiavadi
One of Cauldron’s nobles and primary liaison with Vhalantru. Killed her in her own house.

Viirdran "Paper Tiger" Daraqor
Tactician, thug, and chemist. Haven’t encountered him.
Drow, spell abilities, black skin, white hair, lightning eyes, wields dual scimitars (don't they all? its like the halfling tradition of carrying a lead sheet). Wears tight fitting black clothing with web patterns. Has a hot girlfriend.

Xokek "The Turtle-kai"
A shadar-kai specializing in espionage and scouting. Haven’t encountered him.
Shadow Fey. Struggles with the shadow curse originally joined because the dream of an enslaved world appealed to him. Stealthy fey with grey skin and eyes- very goth. Spell casting.
He made an excellent turtle soup (Baleful polymorphed into a turtle then killed).

As a player in Shackled City, seeing a beholder show up and grab the boy and then teleport away freaked us out- 1st I think we were like 2nd level, so it was "Holy Crap! A Beholder!" then a few knowledge/spellcraft checks later we gained the knowledge that beholder's aren't known to be able to teleport without caster levels and it was "Holy Crap! A beholder with Class levels". And, it made us way more wary/afraid of running into the beholder aka Valentru (after we learned who he was). I think a teleporting Rakshasha would be equally scary.

One thing of note, the Oblivion doors in the dungeon under V's house would be a bit more difficult to explain with out having the spells available as "at will" eye rays, but that would also be a good place to have Embryl show up if I remember correctly... then there are the statues of "lost" adventurers in V's garden.

We just finished up our several year long campaign run by dodo. It was a blast. I played Slashghoul the 1/2 Orc evoker, and in the end it was sweet.

Adimarcus was tough! I swear our barbarian did like 2000hp of damage, and the casters had a hard time getting through his SR, both the bard and I usually were 50/50 on getting through and then touch attacks were also about 50/50. Summoned Greater Earth Elementals grappling Adi seemed to work, until he figured out that switching to his snake body did the trick.

All in all it was a good time. I can't wait for the next one! :)
