While playing a campaign, we adopted one of the poor lads after getting attached to him and we figured he'd make a great backup character if only there was a morlock ancestry. A few weeks later I now have an alpha version of the ancestry, and would love to hear what people think. It's still needs some polish and probably a fair bit of rewriting, but for now I'd like to get some feedback on the mechanics of the ancestry. Thanks in advance for your time. ^^

So my character is personality wise more or less ye stereotypical barbarian. (With a fondness for fighting and drinking, as any proper barbarian should have) Having played for a while, my economy is now at the point where spending some hard earned gold on hilarious magic items is viable.
I have therefor decided to create the ultimate tankard, a drinking vessel that is my character worthy.

Assuming you're allowed to copypaste specific magic items and merge them together, the plan so far is to combine a tankard of the drunken hero, a tengu drinking jug and a neverspill goblet.

Are there other enchantments the ultimate tankard desperately need?


Sometimes, parts of your party may or may not be completely on your side, and at those times it may pay off having a contingency plans. Like having the magic weapons you crafted for said partymember stop working or some other cursed item effect.

Is this possible? Can you craft cursed items who's curse only appears after a certain phrase is spoken?

So in a campaign I'm running, I "accidentaly" managed to infect a skinwalker PC with lycanthropy. (I'm hoping I haven't missed the book that says skinwalkers are immune)

So I'm wondering, would the skinwalker transfer the curse to others when using his natural attacks? (By the rules I'm guessing no, as the lycanthropy and skinwalker beast form are separate, but it sorta would make some sense fluffwise maybe?)


So having a terrible sense of humor, I was planing an encounter for either the Hongal or Minkai part of the adventure.

The players will encounter a group of five fighters(ish) hunting a pair of foo creatures.

I've always thought foos felt a little more Chinese than mongolian or japanese, but I haven't found anything about them only hanging out in the Tian xia equivalent of China. So are there any reasons a couple of foos couldn't have gotten lost in northern Tian xia?


After reading through the first 3 books of the ap, I'm thinking about adding an npc to the campaign. Let's call him frank from now. Frank is an assassin from minkai, through unknown circumstances(I haven't thought that far ahead) he finds himself wearing a cursed amulet, forcing him to obay the orders of the five winds and their servants.

After the pcs defeat the frozen shadows in Karlsgard, Frank is sendt north with the remaining rozen shadows, to tell the five winds that the pcs are comming. He does not get far, as his party is attacked, and he is left for dead.

The pcs catch up to him, and being the kind souls they are (with some gentle nudging) save him and offer him a ride home to minkai. They (hopefully) bond, and by the time they pass the wall of heaven, there should be at least some surprise in eing betrayed by him.

As Frank is ordered to warn about the pcs (but noone said anything about hindering them), he leaves the caravan near an arbitrary tian town, and warns the five winds. They are somewhat unhappy to hear he has let the pcs arrive in tian xia, and a few nights later, he dies in a failed assassination of the players.

Frank is a monk(5)/ninja(3)/shadowdancer(3) who fights from the shadows with thrown weapons, uses hit and run tactics, or comes flying in from the shadows to put a full sneak attack flurry on targets flanked by his trusty shade.

Is this a terrible idea? Are there storylines from the last 3 books that do the same? Or have I missed something obvious?


Does anyone know how ascetic style, weapon style mastery and dragon style/ferocity would interact while using a weapon with two hands?

Would you for instance end up dealing 2.5x str on first hit, then 2x on concecutive hits? or do these feats not work together at all?

And are there other styles or feats that would create strange synergies?


Being the somewhat delusional sod I am, I've always managed to convince myself that monks are more or less awesome, and after a drought in pathfinder playtime I find myself with a handful of (on my part) unorthodox builds. They mainly separate into two groups. The critfisher(or cheat yourself to an 18-20 critrange weapon) and the strengthdump build (or try surviving until you find an agile amulet of might fists). As I haven't gotten around to actually playing any of them, does anyone know if they would actually work in play?

So the point with this one is taking one level cleric to get a channel energy from a diety with a favored weapon with 18-20 critrange (one of the tian ones has the katana, an empyrial lord has scimitar, think a devil gives falchion). Then grab the crusaders flurry feat and go to town on.... whatever there is to go to town on I guess.

Nonstrengthmonk:
With this one, the thought is to try to survive until you can get your hands on an amulet of mighty fists with the agile enchantment (not 100% sure if it's technically allowed, but bear with me). The enchantment let's you use dex instead of str when calculating weapon damage, meaning we can build somewhat less mad monks)

Not completely sure these builds would work (or if they're legal) but would love to hear thoughts on them.
