Elgrin then turns back to the prisoner with a scowl and says I did that for him, not you. He then surveys the prisoner again to make sure the that he's bound securely. Elgrin then looks the prisoner square in the eye and says We're taking you to Fairhill regardless of whatever you say here. But if you'd like a little revenge upon those who betrayed and abandoned you, you could tell us whatever you know about them so we might stop them from ever doing anything like this to another innocent family. Or preferably you'd tell us out of remorse and maybe that'll be a small point in your favor when you meet your creator ![]()

![]() As I see it...No fingers were cut off. The intent was stated with an RP hook inviting someone to intervene. If in your mind his actions/intentions make him stray into CN territory, fine. You're free to that opinion. Just as he is free to envision these actions as firmly within CG. Good and Neutral characters can play together. Good and Evil, no, it gets tiresome. It's a team game and we all have to make compromises for the sake of cohesion. I really don't think this has to be a big deal. ![]()

![]() @Naomi...I don't see anything wrong with Hamish's RP. His character (CG) is intent on an action. He left a wide-open RP hook inviting someone to step in if we'd prefer not to see the fingers removed. He's not speaking or unilaterally deciding a course of action for the group. "That's not the point, it's almost insulting. like it's our characters responsibility to stop your character from doing something our character wouldn't do. May be great plot/story in writing, but bad RP if you're trying to be inclusive. It's practically begging for a fight." Insulting...sorry but I'm not offended at all by this. Responsibility to stop him...He left the door wide open inviting us to. No problem there either. Fight???? Why? We have the opportunity to disagree with the punishment as it's been suggested by a CG character. We may disagree with the actions being CG, that's up for debate, I think it falls within the spectrum of CG. Morality can be interpreted differently in a world that's vastly different where fighting for your life is not uncommon. And you may disagree with what my actions would be as an LG Paladin if delivering him to Fairhill was not an option. If delivering him to Fairhill was not an option I would feel perfectly comfortable with Elgrin chopping his head off in punishment for his crimes. I don't think that would violate LG ethics. But alignment and ethics can be a tedious debate. One that I hope we can avoid. TLDR: I think he's being inclusive and see no problem with his RP GM has been in a game with me where I objected to a player unilaterally dictating the actions of the party and I objected fiercely. I do not see this scenario in the same way at all. ![]()
