So, collector pins are huge in many fandoms (Disney comes to mind most easily), and yet I am surprised to see that Paizo has never put out any for Pathfinder. Under the accessories in the store, there is a pin section, but it is really just buttons instead of pins (some of them rather large, to be honest).

Using one of the pins that I got from work, I give you a Sample Collector Pin

Wouldn't it be awesome to have pins like this? Here are just a few ideas that my husband and I came up with that would make awesome collector pins:

*Faction pins
*Convention pins
*Holy symbol pins (the idea of the Pharasmin spiral as a pin is what started this whole idea for me)
*National flags (not as likely, but some people might really want a Chelish flag pin)
*Adventure Path pins (get a pin for every AP you've run or played in... come on guys, who wouldn't want a Sihedron medallion pin for RotRL?)
*Iconic pins (I know we had some hard core fans of various iconics here, so it makes sense that someone would love to have a collector pin of Valeros)
*Goblin pin! (because goblins)

These things aren't even that expensive. The Sam's Club pin that I posted as an example cost like $3.99 I think, and that was because it was a small batch order. I know the company we use is called Hogeye, though I am sure Paizo could find any number of companies to make them for affordable prices.

So yeah, what do you guys think? Would this be something you would like to see offered by Paizo?

"... singing epics sadly to himself...."

I read that and was like, "Aww, I wanna give him a hug now!"

Then I read the rest...

I wanna play a Skald now. Like, really badly.

Nope It'd be Imperceptible Sam Jackson.

We are screwed. No one can beat that!

Okay, serious question for you James. With how much Cheliax loves their titles and hierarchies, what would the various rankings be within a place like the Imperial Ministry of Historical Accuracy?

Is the information on Shalelu in Jade Regent the most up to day official backstory for her? Will there be any other details of her past coming out?

Ok, I officially feel silly for asking this, but whatever.

Last night a situation came up where a character under the effect of Prayer (+1 luck bonus to attacks, damage, saves, and skills) scored a critical hit... and I was not sure if bonus damage from luck multiplied or not. I do not think it does, since it isn't a "usual bonus"... but it is also not a dice roll.

I've heard of similar talks regarding the Bard's song bonus to damage, some let it multiply, others don't.

So what I am wondering is what is the official stance, if any, on how all these bonus types work in a critical hit situation? If some multiply and others don't, which ones?

Thanks.

JJ,

One of my players wants to use the broad arrow from Mongoose Publishing, which increases arrow damage by one die-type while only decreasing range by 10 feet... I find this rather broken since as far as I can tell, only weapons modify damage by die-type, not ammo. Am I being too inflexible as a GM or should I stick to my guns? Is it possible to make this not broken by either reducing the range further, adding a penalty on attacks, or both?

If it makes you husbands feel better, I am in one of those "how to convince my fiance this is a good purchase" frames of mind... along with "how to restrain myself from making this purchase"

... it can be very hazardous to a household budget to have both members of the couple be avid gamers.

... ... would it be wrong to use excess financial aid money for this?

I have to second powerdemon's comment... there are a lot of us who don't have a whole lot of money but still want to support the game. I preordered this in Feb when I first learned of it, and yeah, I went to Amazon because I needed the savings (that $22 I am saving buys me food for a week). The kind of attitude TwoWolves displayed towards paying customers (because Paizo still gets their money) is not something that should be promoted here... no one who pays their money for a hard-earned product "deserves" to be jerked around. Period.

I sent a message to Amazon to demonstrate my satisfaction. Like others said, a month is one thing (and I'm used to it), but six months or more? Unacceptable!

So, question: Since the regional languages do not appear on anyone's list of bonus languages (except for those that say "Any") does that mean that the non-human races actually have to spend ranks in Linguistics to learn things like Osiriani or Varisian even if they were born and raised there?

I know that a lot of GMs just let you do it, but this is PFS, so I have to make sure.
