This is my early warning that I'll be leaving on Wed 16 March for a long, international vacation that will have me completely disconnected until 28 March. Most likely, I won't be able to post at all. If I do find myself in a position to post, it will be without a keyboard; the best I'd be able to offer is to guide the botting of Eladorn from the discussion thread; I don't do well with the forum formatting tags from my phone.
I'll post another reminder on 16 March when I leave.
Hi all; I suffered a severe broken leg while on vacation. I'm not going to be able to sit at a computer for any extended period of time for the foreseeable future, and I'm just not good at posting from mobile devices. I'm afraid that as of now I'm going to have to take an indefinite hiatus.

Eladorn yells out at Shael as he circles the table to fire another arrow, this time at the gap in the opening doorway, about at the height he'd guess a sprite would fly at.
Actions:
Free: Handle Animal (attack any) DC 10, link:1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 4 = 13 Move: 30' Standard: attack vs possible escape
When a creature detects a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed—only its presence somewhere within range. The creature can take a move action to note the direction of the scent. When the creature is within 5 feet of the source, it pinpoints the source’s location.
...
Emphasis added; I don't think a creature with scent needs to roll miss chance if within 5' of the target.
To add to that; I'd argue that the forming ice constitutes a valid target, and the sprite no longer has concealment from any attacks!
Eladorn dashes across the room to get a line on the transporter, and sends an arrow at the small patch of ice forming there. "Blessings from Ol' Deadeye!" the hunter exclaims as he watches his arrow fly true.
Actions:
Move: 30' Standard: attack vs possible escape
Comp longbow, cat's grace, pbs:1d20 + 7 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 + 1 = 30Deadeye bowman and precise shot; ignores cover from Horn and penalty for firing into melee damage, P, pbs:1d8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 + 1 = 4
"A net would be great. Let's pick one up; very useful against these kinds of pixies or sprites." Eladorn doesn't let that stop him from firing an arrow at the open space where Shael is indicating a sprite might be.
Scent detects a creature within 30' at which point you can spend a move point to determine the direction. With a planned strategy using both Shael and Horn, we should be able to pinpoint the fey.
I'd agree that this game moves slowly, and it has since I joined up. I'm generally available for daily posting, as I'm doing that for multiple PFS games on these boards too. I would not mind picking up the pace a bit.
Eladorn keeps looking around the room--it seems he's trying to keep his eyes on every dark corner, as impossible as that would be. "I think you could be right... but how to know?" he answers Linge.
"There were a couple of sprites, too. They looked like they were practicing for a performance; the sprites were doing acrobatics in the air while that forlarren was playing a harp."
Eladorn steps off the tile. "Well, it's some kind of transport; I teleported to another room in this tower... at least that's where I think it was. You remember that fey bard that stopped by our fire? She was there; she recognized me, and she's got a good idea what's up." He shakes his head unhappily. "I didn't stick around to chat, but I'd expect a welcoming party; she--at least--knows we're here."
Eladorn lets the ice form an encapsulate him. He looks to his feet to see if he is on a similarly darker-colored square, then steps off if that's the case. "I came alone; I don't think this is where I'm supposed to be. Where is this? I admit, I'm a little confused." He clutches the key tightly, ready to step back onto the tile again.
Eladorn holds the offered key and steps near the blue square on the floor. "I'm not sure that I like the idea of camping out here. They have to already know we're here, right? We'd almost certainly just be barricading ourselves in to save our own lives."
"While Erastil has blessed me with some of his divinity, I'm by no means even close to an expert in magic and its workings. How about I try this, and those of you with more knowledge observe." He looks around for agreement before adding. "I'm fairly hardy... if this is dangerous, I've got a pretty good chance."
Hi all, I'm back and catching up. Post-vacay recovery took longer than expected; my ear is still plugged from the flight for some reason, so my whole being is a little bit off. I haven't popped into Gameplay yet, just here to let you know that that will happen at some point today. Thanks for your patience!
Just FYI, I'm leaving for a week-long vacation out of country during which I won't be able to post. I'll be gone from Friday to Friday, 3-10 Dec. I should have time tonight to give my games one last look tonight before bed, but I'll be incommunicado after. Please feel free to bot me after that as needed!
Eladorn waits where he is a moment, listening for any sounds in response to the combat they just finished.
He then moves up to the door that mirrors the one they opened. Given the symmetrical arrangement, he wants to be sure they don't have another room full of guards on this side of the tower.
Eladorn repeats his command to Shael, this time with a more emphatic wave of his sword arm, which he then pivots into another attempted strike at the elemental.
Eladorn catches Shael's eye and motions his head for the elk to circle around and flank the elemental. He swings his sword at the icy creature; the resulting spray of ice chips was likely to be superficial at best.
Eladorn's head snaps up at the sounds of commotion. He eyes the other doors nearby with concern. "Draw them out!" he calls. "We have the advantage out here!"
Actions:
Move: draw longbow Standard: readied attack vs first guard that he can see (including exiting nearby, unexplored rooms)
comp longbow, tiger aspect:1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 7 + 1 = 27+1 pbs if within 30'; precise shot and deadeye bowman for melee/cover damage, P:1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8+1 pbs if within 30'
"What do you want to bet these are more stairs?" Eladorn asks facetiously as he checks the door on the opposite end. "And this'll be a storage closet, then, cause who installs two privies? What would that even be... one for men and another for women? Could you even imagine?" He checks both doors.
"I don't like these mirrors..." Eladorn mutters as he enters the central room. "And those patches... we can figure those out later. Let's see what we can find in some of these rooms," he adds, joining Linge.
With the ramparts clear, Eladorn can finally focus on the real threat in the courtyard: the ice troll. He lines up his shots and lets another pair of arrows fly over Shael's broad shoulders.
Eladorn quickly scans the remaining ramparts, making sure they're clear of foes. That's where those bolts have been coming from! he thinks as he sights the last remaining guard. He fires off another pair of arrows in the gate guard's direction.
Eladorn tracks the last guard on the rampart with his bow, letting two arrows fly when he has the man locked in his sight. He keeps an eye on Shael's fight with the troll, letting the combat play out with existing instructions for the time being.
FYI, I'm leaving this afternoon for a camping trip that extends into the Labor Day holiday. I won't be returning home until late Monday evening; I likely won't be able to post again until Tuesday morning.
Eladorn takes careful aim and lets a pair of arrows fly at the sole guard he can see on the southern railing; without missing a beat, he gives Shael subtle cues to begin attacking the troll in front of them.
Actions:
Full round: full attack vs. green Free: handle animal (attack any) DC 10, link:1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 4 = 22
I think Zin'zarin has already posted their characters' actions? :)
That was my assumption; the GM post implied that my previously-posted actions were being used for this first round. Happy to add more actions if that's not the case, though; just let me know!
Eladorn steps into the courtyard, calling Shael to his side to protect him. "Borga's never been good at cleaning game; I'll handle this one myself," Eladorn bluffs, showing little concern over whether he's believed or not. He calls Shael in and casts magic fang on those deadly antlers, all the while trying to give off an air as if nothing is amiss. "Besides, I've almost got the thing trained as it is; shame to deliver it to Borga."
Bluff:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
Actions:
Swift: activate Animal Focus to apply Tiger aspect (+2 Dex) to self and Bull aspect (+2 Str) to Shael Free: Handle animal (defend) DC 10, link:1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 4 = 11 Move: 15' Standard: cast magic fang on Shael's gore attack
The biggest problem is going to figure out a way to prevent them from alerting everyone else. There's two guards on top of the walls, and only Eladorn is good with a ranged weapon.
I could trade a spell for a Summon Ally one, and attack one of the guards with a Celestial Eagle, or perhaps a Small Elemental, but that only lasts a couple of rounds :/
I like this; Eladorn will do his part momentarily.
Eladorn eyes his companions, warily glancing at the guards. He gets the sense that Linge might be ready to act now, but he's not sure about the others.
What's the sense here; do we want to start something now? And what about Paldo and Sigrun; have we lost them? Neither has posted in more than a month.
Eladorn actually made his aid check; he's (surprisingly) believable enough to have made Garran slightly more believable. And Bluff is opposed by Sense Motive. The DC is variable; they could roll really low!
I mean, the odds aren't in our favor by a long shot, but we do have a chance.
"I have never specifically trained him in that way, though I imagine that he would quietly follow wherever I lead him. So, if I play guard, I could be bringing in some captured fauna well enough, I'd imagine."
Eladorn motions to the guards' tunics. "Perhaps a moment to disguise ourselves would give us a small advantage, though," he suggests, snugging the cloak around his shoulders.
Eladorn steps out of the trees and continues firing arrows at the guards, redirecting Shael to attack the guards as his bowstring twangs.
Actions:
