Hmm, I have a character I would really like to get into a Hell's Rebels game (this alias), but not certain I can handle another game. I got into Redalia's Mummy's Mask and was previously in three games, though one of them is slow moving.

Male Human Unchained Rogue/Wizard 1

Edgar is glad to fall into the backdrop of the commotion, letting the others speak so he can absorb their moods. A surprising number of people here tonight hold no loyalty to the house of Thrune. He listens to them speak of House Victocora and feels sympathy for his brother, but also fear for their own family's safety.

Avora's outburst brings a quickly quelled grin to his face. Could any of them be with the Ravens? Or perhaps they are just discontented citizens. Or perhaps... this could be the start of something bigger?

He pipes up from the sidelines, attempting to conceal the direction and voice from which his next comment comes. "What about the Ravens? Surely they won't stand for this!"

Thanks DM! I think I might have to stick with Arcane Trickster then, I've always wanted to play one, but prestige class requirements usually put me off. Getting into it earlier and losing only one level of spellcasting is huge.

15 skill ranks at level 1 is fun!

There is a good chance I will be changing Edgar into a Mesmerist, I think it's a much simpler way to get the flavour of an arcane trickster without the bother of a prestige class.

Male Human Unchained Rogue/Wizard 1

Edgar grimaces as Dred expresess his enmity for house Thrune. "While I don't disagree friend, I'd suggest keeping such opinions a little closer to your chest. These are going to be dangerous times for those who are not allies of Thrune."

GM, would you be okay with the Arcane Trickster prestige class? I think it's the direction I'd like to take Edgar.

Upon hearing the proclaimation

Martial law? This could spell trouble for Natalia... is the first thought on Edgar's mind, the second, which should have been the first according to everything he had been taught in his life happened to be: This could also be most inconvient -perhaps even dangerous- for my family. The Thrune's have never held much of a liking for us.

The Tooth and Nail
----

The Tooth and Nail happened to be one of Edgar's favorite places to gather information, it was also in this tavern that he had first met his Natalia. It was no wonder that he found himself waltzing into the tavern as the streets buzzed with the distressing news. He was wearing what might be considered a disguise. A roll of his shoulders, a shifting of how he held his head, attire much more suited to an adventurer, make up and hair styled as to bring out a gruffness not truly there, a carefully schooled limp in his gait. Here he was not known as a Vashnarstill, but simply as Zaine Kelfaren. One of several such aliases that he had cultivated as part of his training and continued to use because of their obvious value.

He took his usual seat in the corner and took out a pipe, smoking was not something that Edgar Vashnarstill normally did so all the better for Zaine to do so. He kept his ears on the chatter and his eyes out for Natalia. His usual rum was brought to him without being asked.

He is greatly amused when his younger brother enters the bar awkwardly and enjoys the feeling of his own brother's gaze passing over him unknowingly. A disguise well done. As more people gather around Leonardo, Edgar decides to intervene and hopefully subtley help the younger man.

He weaves his way toward the table and gives a rogueish grin at the lot. "Not often you find a young nobleman in a place like this," Zaine offers a tip of the ludicrous hat he currently wears, his voice unrecognizable from Edgar Vashnarstill. "Zaine Kelfaren, regular here, at your service."

I suppose I will treat Leonardo as Edgar's younger brother for now, it would be interesting if they both got in. Feel free to identify Edgar as the conversation is ongoing if you believe Leonardo would. I personally find the idea of the younger brother knowing his older brother too well to realize this adventurer could be him amusing though.

Glad you like my character! I still am not set in stone about him being a Rogue, (mostly because I just don't like the class at all!) but the large amount of skills a Rogue gets combined with the kind a training someone would be given to protect a noble just make it fit. If you have any other class suggestions I'd be happy to listen.

I'll get to posting in gameplay soon!

I was incredibly excited by Hell's Rebels when it was announced, but have yet to have a chance to play it. I have this character built for Hell's Rebels. His backstory may change a little, but is pretty much set in stone. I created him when Hell's Rebels was first announced and added on to him as I learned more about it. As such I may end up changing his crunch around a bit after reviewing him. Still I am posting him here as my submission.

I do find 15 point buy to be a bit restrictive (though not for this specific character) if only because it makes creating monks, clerics and the like a daunting and perhaps discouraging prospect.

Edgar was made with Hell's Rebels in mind. He is at the protest to reconnect with a lost love. More detail in the profile of course.

Presenting Edgar Vashnarstill, a young nobleman who gets tangled up in rebellion because of a little mistake called love.

He is pretty much finished, just needs equipment and to remove two trained skills because he was created with the hope of background skills being used.

Edgar has been added to the Hell's Rebels tab. His backstory isn't completely fleshed out yet but he is well on his way. His first name is subject to change, but Edgar was just the first thing that came to mind.
