I'd love to give this a try. I've done a lot of PbP but it's been a while. I play PF regularly irl and know the rules pretty well. I DM for PFS irl on occasion. Full Name: Yorn

Thanks for the comments Standback. I totally see the ambiguity now. My intention was that you receive a free knowledge check ABOUT the creature you struck with the coated weapon. But I see now in a re-read that I didn't make that clear. Thanks for the feedback.
Feedback appreciated, judges, rough comments and all. Thanks. :) Suspension of Reckoning
When a creature is first struck by the coated weapon or ammunition, the suspension grants a +10 competence bonus to the user on a knowledge check as a free action. The type of check granted is dependent upon the area of the face where the suspension has been applied. Forehead: Arcana

Perfect use of Haste, Maedoc. We know Raleigh hit once (unconfirmed crit) and Osslend hit both times, I think. So that's another 37 damage to human fighter, putting him at 60+ taken. Virgil's attack of 20 might have hit, though I doubt it, so who knows...fighter man might go down. Nice spiritual weapon choice, Kayla. Hopefully it can keep that healer locked down. Now we just need a nice hit on the orc and we should be in business.

Okay, I think I'm confused about where the enemies are standing. I have the following: Me: G10
Is this all correct? I have a feeling I've got the halfling and maybe the orc in the wrong places.

Thanks DSP. I can't wait to play. I thought I might get the ball rolling just talking about Osslend's build broadly real quick. Osslend is a Cavalier variant called "Houndmaster" and is built to be pretty tank-ish and work well with his hounds. Both he and the hounds took combat feats so that they benefit one another when they are flanking the same enemy. So he's really going to be better at handling a single foe at a time rather than crowd control, though if the crowd is made up of smaller, weaker foes, he and the hounds can do that, too. His larger hound, Virgil, should be a reasonable tank, while his smaller hound, Raleigh is younger and weaker for now, and will likely hang back more and do more hit and run tactics until he gets stronger.Osslend wields a large, 2-handed flail and should output some decent damage, though he certainly isn't built to be a big punisher. My hope would be that he will come to recognize new strategies in his companions and I can start to take feats that move in a more cooperative direction, not just ganging up on enemies with the hounds. Personality interaction with combat: Osslend is pretty level-headed, and while not a strategist (isn't dumb but isn't overly bright either) is wise enough to see patterns where they exist and can focus efforts on bigger threats. The one thing that might derail this is if he sees common-folk put in harm's way. It is in the rules of his cavalier Order that he MUST protect them and it's something he would do anyway, even without the dictum. Happy to answer questions and curious to hear more about other characters.
Have to do handle animal rolls for the dogs. They are done below in order of how I would have taught. Hence, if I fail the DC for one, I can eliminate a later one to have re-tried to teach the hound the previous. Will edit if this is the case. Seeking RPG players Our group has been running for 5+ years, mostly Pathfinder but some 4e and Savage Worlds. Usually we have three couples. One of the couples is leaving town so we need to replace them. We're looking for two players, older, more mature. We're into laughs and good times and roleplaying. No drama, drinking (occasional beer, maybe), drugs, or rules lawyering. A couple would be cool but not required. Completely new players are more than welcome. If you, and we, like what we hear, we'll schedule a meet to interview one another to see what kind of fit there might be. We typically play once a week for about 4 hours. All you need is a willingness to have fun, we can supply the rest. If interested, please email: rpgwithus@gmail.com and tell us a bit about yourself.

Right. Profile started. All that remains is gear and hound stats, I think. Will finish those tonight.

Awesome! Thank you. I will post the character this evening. I'll be using set 2 of the stats I rolled earlier.
DM, would you consider this cavalier class archetype/variant, entered in the RPG superstar contest? If not, totally understand and I have a different idea. I just love the flavor of that one.
That map is AMAZING, man. I've got to try to get in on this. Thinking about a synthesist summoner or maybe a cavalier. Set 1:
2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 14 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 8 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13 Set 2: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 6 = 11 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 = 16 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 = 11
Okay, one more submission. If it's too late, I understand. Different character, though I used the same name only. History:
Osslend Abenier was a Rostlander farmer, hardworking and helpful to his neighbors in the South of Brevoy. He lived an average life, putting his honed muscles to use breaking the earth so that others might plant there. Never taking a wife, Osslend was oft sought after by the women of the community but never felt the need to indulge in such frivolity. Life was work; hard work and that was plenty. Always one to help a neighbor, Osslend often helped stave off the unwanted advances of land-buyers who tried to harass his community. Bullies were not tolerated and friends knew they could come to Osslend if they ever had such trouble. When Osslend heard news of the expansion into the Stolen Lands, he felt a tug of responsibility to go but, maybe for the first time, felt afraid. He was afraid of leaving his home and all he had ever known. That is, until he began having dreams of an old trapper man leading him into the wilderness. It was then that Osslend knew that Erastil, old Deadeye, was telling him that it was his duty to go and protect those new settlers. After all, they're his people and "someone's got to make sure they don't get taken advantage of."
Personality:
Osslend Abenier is in his early 30s and is a quiet man. He needs very little and accepts even less. He works for what his is and shares it freely. He does not tolerate rudeness or apathy. He is often the the last to speak but his word usually brooks no further argument. If you are kind, helpful and hardworking he will be the best friend you could ever have. Stats:
Human Paladin, follower of Erastil (Warrior of the Holy Light, so he will have no spells) Str: 16 (14 +2)
Traits: Rostlander (campaign), Optimist (follower of Erastil)
Gear: Chain shirt, Earthbreaker hammer On his way out of town to volunteer to join the Stolen Lands expedition, Osslend was seen wearing only the tough, burlap farming clothes he had always worn and carrying his enormous hammer that he used to break and till the earth with for farming. A merchant took pity of him and sold him a chain shirt to protect him. That is all he carries.

Fair enough. :) Thanks for consideration. I knew it was a longshot but wanted to give it a try. If you're still taking new apps, I'll post my paladin very shortly.
DM Aron, if you allow the Houndmaster archetype, here he is: History:
History: Osslend Abenier grew up in and around Restov with his family in squalid conditions due to his father's investments in get-rich-quick schemes. His father was the Hound-master for a local noble and when his father died, Osslend became the new Hound-master for that house at the age of 15. Osslend always had a talent for sword-work and quickly found additional work teaching the noble's own son, Willan, only two years younger than Osslend, the basics of sword fighting. Osslend went on happily this way for a few years, eventually moving onto the nobleman's property when his own mother succumbed to the heartache of losing her scoundrel of a husband. Willan and Osslend became the best of friends, but Osslend grew to dislike his nobleman employer whom he believed to be mistreating Willan in...perverse ways. Osslend had begun trying to save up money to help get Willan and himself away from his father very soon. Recently, thought, Willan was traveling with his father on a business trip near the Stolen Lands and was kidnapped when his father was attacked and robbed. The nobleman has hired a team of toughs to find his son but Osslend has taken matters into his own hands. His dog, Virgil, is a fine tracker and knows Willan well. Osslend intends to get to the Stolen Lands and find his young friend.
Personality:
Osslend is a quiet young man who is a bit too serious for his own good most times. Life as taught him to be vigilant and less trusting than some and it's a lesson he's learned well. Though he cares for his young friend Willan, whom he regards as a brother, he loves unconditionally his dog, Virgil. The dog was given to him by his father and has been his best friend for nearly five years. Stats:
Str:16 Dex:12 Con:14 Int:10 Wis:10 Cha:13 Have complete character sheet available.
Let me know if this will work for you. I love the idea behind Kingmaker and would love to play. Thanks.
