I think aphorites are the type that gets basically no fanfare, but there would be a fair amount of backlash if it wasn't in the book, y'know? I know I would be upset but that's just me being an autistic little collector of things that wants to have all the outer planar lineages because it makes the happy chemicals go brr I fully agree with you, not gonna lie. Just because I don't really have any aphorite concepts doesn't mean I don't want it to come back!

Thank you so much! Is there anything interesting about the Howling Aspect that was revealed in the Lunar New Year stream?
Would anyone be able to give the heritages for the samsaran and the yaksha? I'm trying to make some character ideas, and I'd love to be able to conceptualize them better with heritage stuff.

I was going to say, would anyone be willing to divulge anything about the Ancestry stuff? Like, bonuses, heritages, fun feats, the like?
Patrickthekid wrote: Dtmahanen wrote: Patrickthekid wrote: I asked if there would be an inquisitor class in one of the panels... and I actually got an answer!
It turns out there are plans to making it a new archetype of the ranger class: the vindicator. Imrijka will return under this. I think it's a cool way to rework it since 1e had builds where you can get feats based on your favored weapon. Which panel, out of curiosity? It was the Godsrain panel on Friday. Wait, does this mean Vindicator will likely be in the War of Immortals book? That's awesome!

Shipping is estimated to start only on Monday, and they have released a message that there could be some delay becasue of the backlog of orders from the previous delays and GenCon.
Ah, thanks for the heads up! I'll wait with bated breath, then.

Sick! Have you gotten your PDF yet?
I'm hoping for an update on this too, I wanna see the Keynote! XD

It doesn't seem to be the full thing, only 15 pages.

Wait, did the PDF thing disappear for anyone else, or is that just me?
I'm actually shocked no one's asked this yet, but what are the centaur heritages?
Man, I'm already thinking about how to incorporate the Godsrain into my campaigns. I run 3 Pathfinder games, and while two of them don't totally work for it, there's one... that I think I could incorporate it into and it would work perfectly.
Sanityfaerie wrote: Hold up. I just realized... we don't know for certain that the Commander is the PF2 Warlord. What if it's the Martial Summoner instead?
Or heck - what if it's both? Your main character doesn't have much in the way of ability to deal direct damage, but they do have an array of non-spell buffing abilities, and then you have a second eidolon-but-not character who actually does the face-smashing? We have been asking for a Martial Summoner, after all...
Well, we have some idea of what they are from the blog post today!
Mark Moreland wrote: The commander is a martial support class that can issue commands to her allies, granting them extra movement, actions, reactions, and more. The guardian is an armored tank, who can taunt opponents and maximize the effectiveness of heavy armor to be a bulwark against nearly any threat.
Kvantum wrote: Got my PDF, but is there a reason it's 350MB in size?
Also curious numbering for the book, being PZO13001. Are we getting a revised Campaign Core book as PZO13000?
Ooh, nice! Anything stand out to you as really cool or exciting?
PossibleCabbage wrote: I'm sort of disappointed there's not an "unarmed" option, since heroes of legend fought unarmed a lot in various epic tales. Like Gilgamesh and Enkidu became fast-friends by throwing down over a period of days, Beowulf kills Grendel with his bare hands, Heracles strangles the Nemean lion, Odysseus wins an argument with Greater Ajax by fighting dirty in a wrestling match, Bhima finally ends the cruel reign of Jarasandha by tearing him in half in a wrestling match, etc.
I know that we're kind of going with "this is a 'stuff' class" but if your body ikon can be some tattoos, I want to have to register my fists as lethal weapons with the local authorities.
There's also the very real possibility that we haven't seen everything yet. Remember, this is a playtest, and if this is something you want in the final product, definitely mention it in the feedback, but I think that we're just getting a sampling of the options so far. I definitely want that stuff too, though, because oh my gods would a wrestling exemplar be so fun.

Yep, it's looking like the issue has changed to "unable to download at all". I'll probably send a ticket to Customer Service once the weekend is over and Paizo has returned from GenCon.
Hey, for some reason, even though I downloaded it before, I had to get a new computer, and now I can't seem to be able to download the PDF. Could I get some help, please?

AJCarrington wrote: Golurkcanfly wrote: While a revision for the Oracle, Champion, and Alchemist are mentioned, will the Investigator be given any love?
It's always been kinda clunky, with subclasses that feel more like class feats than proper subclasses due to a lack of progression + no interactivity with DaS, and the lead mechanic is pretty clunky. There's also issues regarding GMing for one and how it can easily overshadow the rest of the party in an intrigue campaign.
If anything else, I hope DaS gets tweaked so it's usable multiple times and is more friendly towards melee Investigators. Maybe make it a free action at the start of a turn regardless of whether you have a lead or not, and if you have a lead, you can "manually" activate it with an action to reroll and fish for crits. It feels like an appropriate mechanic to represent the idea of studying a target to make an accurate and deadly strike. I believe that Erik indicated on the RfC stream yesterday that the Inquisitor would not be in either of the upcoming Player Core books...so no specific news on that front. I think the previous post was talking about Investigator, not Inquisitor, and if I'm remembering correctly, I think Erik Mona mentioned that the Investigator would be getting a slight revamp.
I'm gonna be starting a homebrew campaign (still in Golarion, but custom plot) in February, so this book could not come out at a more perfect time for me. I also just like new stuff, so I'm stoked for this.

Sorry, I'm gonna bring it back to Darklands stuff because I wanna play a drow so bad. I even have a whole backstory that works perfectly with the psychic and everything.
As for other stuff, I mean, I have 0 experience with Pathfinder 1E, so all of this is gonna be stuff that I just find cool:
-Darklands Stuff (Drow, Duergar, Xulgath, Dero, Serpentfolk, Svirfneblin, the like)
-Big stuff (Minotaur and Centaur would be super fun)
-Stheno (WHY ARE YOU TEASING US PAIZO I WANNA PLAY ONE)
-Wyrwood (yes keftiu, you've convinced me, that'd be awesome)
-Samsaran (I mean, duh)
-Water stuff (sahuagin, locathah, aquatic elves, sahuagin, adaro would be fun, oh and did I mention sahuagin?)

I mean, if I'm being honest, what I've been hoping for for a while is something related to the Darklands. Yes, partly that's because I'd love to get official Darklands ancestries, like drow, duergar, and svirfneblin, but honestly, I love underground stuff! Cave systems, underground lakes, aboleths, I love all that stuff. But all of the suggestions here are also super cool (Inquisitor please).

...I say as I realize I just have to restart my computer. XD All downloaded!
I get the sense this is gonna be an issue that may take some time to fix, so let's give the staff some time to get it done. I'm looking forward to the Errata-filled book when the staff says it's ready!
