There is a Non-Aggression Pact between NC members. Not a formal Alliance.
Oh goody, instead of discussing the definition of "hypocrisy", we can move onto discussing the definition of "alliance".
Lets take some pithy quotes from the announcement of the Northern Coalition, shall we?
Also, it means I get to mention Xeen, so thats like +50 posts for this thread right there.

So.. "a stance of non-aggression, of mutual good will, and of bilateral friendship" is pretty much the definition of "alliance".
But, they said "this treaty is not a true alliance" so, assuming you want to let the speaker re-define words, 1 point to the non-alliance side.However, let us continue to read the Aragon statement:
While this alliance may be of the simplest form of a non aggression pact, it can also evolve into a more layered and complex alliance ensuring mutual benefit and mutual defense.
I guess not everyone got the "its not an alliance" memo. 1 point for the alliance side.
You know what? Who cares.
Pick whatever name you want... coalition, treaty, group hug, I don't care.
Whatever you call yourself, third parties are going to change their opinions of the entire group based on actions of individual members.

Is choosing to earn the Ire of Golgotha what Forgeholm is doing?I think i speak for most if not all free citizens of Freevale that we will judge people by their own actions, not hearsay.Is choosing to align itself with Golgotha and Aragon an action that Freevale took?

Whatever you call yourself, third parties are going to change their opinions of the entire group based on actions of individual members.
So then why do you get upset that Forgeholm will be held to your standard?

Seriously though, Aragon isn't part of us and doesn't speak for us. We have no unsavory designs on your caravans or your citizenry. (We may have unsavory designs for any corpses they leave lying around!) Chances are very good we can find something to trade that leaves us both better off.
To emphasis the point, We in the UNC and particularly the citizens of Aragon, had no designs on Forgeholm's caravans either. I was completely honest, you guys were not on our mind. You settlement has STONE!! No Star Metal... Just freak'n STONE!!
Our Chaotic brethren in Freevale, have STONE!! We will trade with them.

You can pick and choose how ever you want, but you cannot manipulate the announcement from displaying the fact that the NC is a non-agression pact. (did you miss the next 11 words after your bolded section)
Fine, I'm judging your entire non-aggression pact based on the actions and statements of its individual members.
Which, as Guurzak said, might be unreasonable and self-defeating, but I have a long tradition of being bull-headed and uncompromising to uphold.

Considering two different settlements to be "company" which are not only not in the same nation, and not even in an alliance, but merely share a non-aggression pact, stretches the boundaries of "company" beyond what most reasonable observers would consider useful.
Context matters. Not just the context in the recent relevant posts, but the context of two years of pretty clear history.
Context (which might require some context of its own, but I'm not going to provide it)

Threads are like children- they grow up, choose their own way, start smoking and hanging out with a bad crowd, end up in jail and/or pregnant, ask to come back and live in your basement, and then move to Belgium for no apparent reason. You just have to sigh and let them.
(I would mention the exampls a recent thread that took a sharp left turn into the physics of magical lightning bolts, but that would be ungenerously pointed, so I shan't do any such thing.)

Yeah, I'm long past letting anyone tell me to assume "good faith" from Bluddwolf, Xeen, or several members of Pax. It's astonishing to me that I hold other members of Pax in such high regard.

I'm afraid that's as much a problem for you as them. It's worth not letting other people alter your own long term behaviour. Unless you don't like it. My wife has fixed all kinds of stuff about me that I never knew was broken.

Is Real Life that time between working, sleeping and playing on the computer? I was never sure, so I tend to ignore that other time.

At what point of time did the B in Brezel become a P? I can see how the T got added due to pronunciation issues but I really don't get the P :(
Probably for something like the reason that the 'b' in 'absorb' changes to a 'p' in 'absorption'.
Come on, didn't you ever spend a few months making your own alphabet, spending hours and hours on Wikipedia studying Vowels and Consonants?

The English language is considered the hardest language to learn by most non-native speaking people. There are so many wacky and contradiction involved in English. Then you also add in the difference between American English and British English...

First Saturday Update
- Seven groups in the Top 30 have pending, as-yet unaccepted, votes: that's a minor record
- Oddly, even if all the pending votes get accepted, only one change in order would occur: Kabal will have a one-vote lead over Aragon, moving into #5
- Talonguard moved back below their record-setting 100-vote threshold yesterday, but they have four votes pending, which'd lift them to 103
- Four Rivers Mercenary Corp, currently at #32 with seven votes, has two pending votes that would move them into the Top 30, at #27, knocking out the Bastard Sons of Daggermark. Unfortunately, they've had those two pending votes for almost five weeks now, so there's little reason to expect them to become accepted in time for the final deadline
