Is the Affiliation system used in Society Play? If so, do the pc's need to spend an affiliation slot on the Pathfinder society?

I can't find the reference but I am sure I read somewhere that if a pathfinder society character has a masterwork weapon or suit of armor the he or she can have it enchanted later on for just the cost of the enchantment. can then more enchantment then be added later?

example:

After say the third scenario a character has enough gold for a masterwork sword. 3 scenario's later he has saved enough to enchant that to +1. After another 3 or 4 scenarios of saving up gold, could he then add another +1 or another special ability like throwing?

even just a pointer to where to find this information would be awesome.

my rogue has a dex of 19 after the stat boost. does Double Slice + Finesse Training + Off hand weapon = +2 or +4 damage per off hand attack? reddit is saying only +2 but the local PFS people are saying +4...

The Honor's Echo and House of Harmonious Wisdom scenarios both have the Impressive Find boon. My Question is, Does this boon automatically trigger at 12 fame or can it be saved and chosen at any time after 12 fame?

I was just curious, how would a person set themselves up in the forums to show their character's faction in the pathfinder society?

I currently own the PDF's for CRB, ACG, APG, ARG, UC, UE, Unchained, and the Pathfinder Society Field guide. In Addition to my Tengu Unchained rogue, I am going to want an Alternate Character; Due to the rate of release of the PFS Season 8 adventures, the local venture captain has decided to ocasionally run a non season 8 night which will also be of benefit to those who have missed a night or 2 to catch up.

so I am wondering what PDF should I grab next?

I have a skill choice dilemma: last week I basically saved the adventure with a well timed untrained heal check. however for reasons my tengu unchained rogue is a member of the silver crusade, and the skill check goal requires diplomacy, Knowledge Religion, or Perform Oratory. so I am torn between Heal and Diplomacy. any advice? (note I have one point in diplomacy from level one already, and there is a goal that requires 4 ranks in heal, diplomacy, or knowledge religion)

in addition for day job checks, I am using my Profession cooking skill for 'flavor' (pun intended), things like making jerky out of meat from dire rats... it doesn't ever actually do anything mechanically for me, just something to add some some humor... so we recently defeated an Ankheg and the DM allowed me to have harvested some of it's acid and I was wondering can someone with profession cook make a sauce out of it or something or should I give it to the character that has profession brewing? lol

If My rogue had a wand that he wanted to use on himself say wand of shield or wand of cure light wounds, Does he have to be Holding the wand and pointing it at himself or can he get away with having it on his person when he makes his Use Magic Device check? I ask because my rogue is a dual wielding rogue and sheathing a sword and drawing a wand might be long enough to result in death instead of healing...

Seriously, right now my current money on my unchained rogue (~700 gold) is bumping me into medium encumberance. is there any pfs legal way to mitigate the weight at low level and fame if I want to save gold for a much more expensive item? example can I buy platinum or gems that can still be spent as currency with out loosing any value?

I just Completed another adventure and my total fame is 6 and I have yet to spend any prestige. being an unchained rogue I am very tempted by the Thieve's guild Membership vanity for 4pp. at this stage of my character's development (just hit level 2) is this a wise or unwise purchase? is there anything I should strongly consider for prestige spending or should I strongly consider just saving for anything in particular?

So where on the inventory tracking sheet does one record small quantities of fairly expensive consumeables like Potions of Cure light wounds, Alchemist's fire, Holy Water, and similar items?

After 2 adventures my rogue has 600 gold (spent some already on easy choices) and I currently find myself unsure if and on what I should spend some of it... the options that come to mind are a Masterwork Wakizashi (my rogue is a tengu and dual wields) for 335 gold, save as much gold as I can for Lamellar (Leather) armor made of darkleaf cloth for 810 gold (currently in normal studded leather) or hold out for magic armor or magic protection devices, or possibly alchemical weapons (alchemists fire, tangle foot bags, etc). any other options suggested would also be appreciated...

I find that I am unfortunately second guessing my self about Knowledge skills. do I go with one of Dungeoneering or Local (rogue class skills) or do I go off the beaten path and pick something else? (the urge for knowledge (planes) is strong)

are there any throwing weapons that add dex bonus to damage in stead of strength bonus?

I am hoping you fine folks will help me brainstorm a bit on faction choice for Season 8. this is my first foray into Pathfinder Society play and am having a hard time figuring out which faction might be a flavorful fit for my character, or alternatively which faction i like.

My Character is a Tengu Unchained rogue, dual wielding wakizashi, Raised by Humans who worshiped Sarenrae, and wants to try to prove that not all tengu are greedy and selfish etc.

Please offer me your opinions on what might be a good faction choice and why. Part of my indecision stems from some of the factions having a goal to recruit an npc, but my tengu has an 8 charisma...

Aside from the Unchained rogue, what are my options for a character with a good Dex bonus for ac, and can dual wield finesse weapons and is there a feat that allows the use of dex bonus for damage as well as to hit for melee weapons? My Book Access is limited to the CRB, ACG, APG, ARG, Pathfinder Unchained, Ultimate Combat, and Ultimate equipment.

For my Tengu Unchained rogue, I would like to have him dual wielding wakizashi's, with the ability to use slayer's feint to be able to Two Weapon Feint with Acrobatics in place of bluff. to do this with unchained rogue alone i would not be able to get two weapon fighting until level 5 and two weapon feint would have to wait until level 7. I am looking for advice on how to get to this sooner. The best I can come up with is taking 1 or maybe 2 levels of fighter after level 2, to get the extra bonus feats. (R1, R2, F1, F2, R3 wound get me all the desired feats and prerequisites as well as double slice by level 5)

is it advisable, inadvisable, or simply my choice to take those 1 or 2 levels of fighter, and is there anyway of getting the slayer's feint prerequisite feats (acrobatic and combat expertise) so as to get slayers feint sooner? I am just looking for options and what is considered advisable and what is not for a Pathfinder Society Character.

I am trying to choose both a deity and a faction. for my Tengu Unchained rogue that is at least slightly thematic, not terribly concerned about religion traits as there are plenty of other traits that interest me more. Part of this character's motivations is to prove that not all Tengu are "scavengers and irrepressible thieves" and that some that turn to the life of the rogue can do so for something other than greed.

So what are your opinions on possible faction choices and Deities for this character? the obvious faction choice given the Tengu history of being enslaved would be liberty's edge but I am not so sure i want to go with that obvious choice... I need help. Please :)

I am Considering My first Pathfinder society experience starting with Season 8 when it starts up Locally. Other than the brief mention of the elemental planes in the brief description of the current PFS Roleplaying Guide, is there any info available to all society players prior to the start of the season that might help character generation choices?
