Krieg watches Ahmargane's attempt to soothe the horse with interest, but doesn't say anything.

Observation: 1d20 ⇒ 91d20 ⇒ 13

Shemitish:

"Do any of you not have legs?"

He's probably asking if anyone in the group can't ride a horse.

I'm fine with using momentum if you need it.

Krieg will spend some time inspecting the horses to see their general condition.

Animal Handling: 2d20 ⇒ (7, 12) = 19

We have to have running water before we can have a bridge =P

Krieg goes and retrieves what arrows can be salvaged, as well as helping to loot.

It's very Howard.

Krieg will reload and fire again, at one of the other mercenaries.

Hyrkanian:

"Die like the lays-with-goats that you are."

Attack Roll (Spending Momentum for an extra die): 3d20 ⇒ (6, 17, 1) = 24

I assume that a 1 is a crit?

Damage Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 3, 6) = 21 So if I understand correctly, that is 4 wounds and 3 effect?

Okay, so to make sure I'm on the up and up, It's 2d20 (lower is better) to hit, and should I hit, I would roll 5d6 and try to get a 1-2 or 5-6

Damage Roll: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 2, 5) = 11

Just noticed I need to roll damage. Would someone mind letting me know what I need to roll? I will be getting the book, but it won't be for a while cause I have to save money to move.

As Krieg watches the man throw his axe at the leader, he swings his bow and fires at the next strongest looking warrior.

attack: 2d20 ⇒ (18, 2) = 20

Domi spits but does not lower his bow and says quietly to those who he can speak with

Shemitish:

"Tell that child who hides behind a woman's skirt that if he kills the woman, he will join her in the land of the dead less than a heartbeat later."

Shemitish:

"Those who force themselves on women are less than jackals."

Krieg spurs his horse around the bend, notching an arrow as he goes.

indeed

Krieg follows along behind the group, keeping an eye out for either more supplies or ambushers.

Per the Discussion thread, rolling one more d20 for each of my above rolls

Discipline 8: 1d20 ⇒ 7

The Hyrkanian man seems to have no trouble looting the dead.

Survival 12: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Better but not a success. I think I'll need to increase my survival.

Finally noticing that his arm is wounded, Krieg will rip a strip of cloth from a cloak on one of the dead men and use his teeth to tie off a bandage, then continue searching.

I'll pass on the sword. I have my bow.

Willpower 7 (Discipline 1/1): 1d20 ⇒ 15

Awareness 11 (Survival 1/1): 1d20 ⇒ 19

I'm not sure how the thresholds work, but I'm assuming higher is better, based on what some others have rolled.

Krieg will dismount from his horse, which appears hard to do one handed and say

Shemitish:

"I wouldn't try to mount him if I were you. He's meaner than I am. We should probably check these bodies for supplies if you want to go look for the prince or his bride."

Observation: 2d20 ⇒ (10, 3) = 13

Shemitish:

"We need water to survive. Gold will not get our bellies full or keep us from dying."

Krieg would vote water as well, since he needs a lot for both himself and Swift.

Shemitish:

"may swift horses and open plains always be yours then. My name is Krieg, and I hold the rank of Domi, although during the battle I was a scout. I fought on the side of Prince Satabus. Were you part of his mercenary army as well?"

As the group was making introductions and getting to know each other and the possessions of the dead, the sound of galloping horses could be heard in the distance, approaching quickly.

As the tableau came into view, there was a man on horseback being chased by a pair of what appeared to be Shemitish riders, intent on riding him down and most likely taking his life.

Turning, the man, who appeared to be a Hyrkanian, let loose with a spear, which when combined with the galloping speed of the trail horse, was enough to embed it almost to the end of the spear in the beast.

While the man was dealing with one rider, another got within blade reach and managed to stab the lead rider's arm. Drawing his blade with a reverse grip in what was clearly his off hand, he parried the follow-up stab, which damaged his blade, but put the Shemitish rider off balance. He followed up by stabbing his sword through the other man's groin, where the blade promptly snapped. The horse creamed and then died shortly thereafter.

Cursing in his native language while staring at his broken blade, he finally appears to have noticed your group. Riding up, he says in Shemitish:

Shemitish:

"If you work for the damnable traitor or his sorcerer loving lackeys, you will join your friends that I just gifted my weapons to. Who do you serve?"

Not sure if everyone speaks Shemitish or not, so I spoilered it.
Also figured I'd give an interesting reason why he no longer has his sword and spear.

Wow, I didn't see that the discussion was up. I'll get something posted presently.

Okay, got him updated.

I'm fine with only having one weapon, but if'n I do, it will be a bow. Krieg is an archer primarily. I assume that I also have my horse, since it's my bonded companion?
