However, this image that was provided is that of General Faiza bint Hanif, and if we had apprehended the general in place of Inysha, we would obviously have looked misinformed at best, and could have been court-martialed at worst!"

Dembar's not one for planning and scheming, but he's good at staying unseen, so he's happy to be assigned to an investigative duo. Dembar lands on Gardol's arm before he starts disabling, and uses his little bat talons to point in directions that he thinks the lockpick should turn while he's doing his work. At the GM's discretion this could totally not work at all, but Dembar does have the Disable Device skill, so...

Once the lock is undone, he'll look the door over for any additional traps, then wait for someone to open it a crack, and enter.

After being admonished by both his allies and the captain for seemingly trying to shirk his duties, Dembar changes back to his less-preferred form and attempts the tasks at hand.

Since Dembar had not slept in his bed, it is still impeccably made. He salutes the captain, apologizes for seeming to be insubordinate, and sets off.

6:30 am:
Dembar works hard to move the equipment, though his strength is less than desirable for such a task.

9:30 am:

Dembar works hard and is pretty tired out by the time the captain stomps through, ruining their hard work. He rolls his eyes, but says nothing and cleans up the new mud.

Dembar eats his lunch quickly, famished after the hard work.

Dembar has no previous training in marching, Perform(oratory) untrained: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21, but he is able to seemingly bluff his way through without his lack of training showing.
