I'm not sure what you mean about Creature HP, so I'll give an example of how Resistance and Weakness work: Your common Rat Swarm has "Resistances physical 6 (except bludgeoning)" and "Weaknesses area damage 3, splash damage 3". This means that: Swords deal 6 less damage

Just don't keep any combat items in your Backpack. It is an Interact action to remove your Backpack before you can spend an Interact action to draw anything from it. Keep your potions and whatnot in your Bandolier or Belt Pouch, and your weapons in your sheath. Special materials generally just apply when you're fighting a creature with Weakness, rather than in PF1 when creatures had Damage Reduction. So whereas a Steel weapon would deal X less damage to a Devil in PF1, a Silver weapon deals X more damage to a Devil in PF2. Justin is an Alchemist. He can probably brew up some Alchemical Silver to apply to your weapons, although that is action intensive.

That looks like a lot of weight? I went the same route with picking magic items and 80gp rather than settling on a lump sum of gold. (2nd) Glamorous Buckler
Dueling Cape
Bulk carried is just 6.3 of 9.0

Each class only has the capacity to maximize a handful of skills due to the limited number of skill increases available. Ideally a well rounded party will have each member maximizing their potential in different skills to cover everything. So Justin being an Alchemist should ideally maximize Crafting and a couple other Int-based skills. Rogues get the most skill increases so they can play around more than others. Dayo having Charisma will probably maximize social skills. Etc.

I highly recommend someone take the Battle Medicine chain. In this Edition, healing out of combat is easy (even Dayo can Lay on Hands twice every 10 minutes for 18 HP each). But it's healing in combat that's hard to come by. Since Champion/Swashbucklers are Charisma-based, Dayo has a +14 in both Deception and Diplomacy (although as a Paladin I can really only use the Deception for Feinting). He's +12 in Intimidate and Performance.

I think... Dayo is ready ^_^ He's mostly the same, actually. I had a lot of fun trying to match everything up. Lay on Hands, Devoted to Apsu, Attack of Opportunity, lots of ribbons (Dancing Scarf), very mobile with Ranged Reprisal, Fleet and Agile Feet, and the same terrible Sense Motive. Some of the notable differences include: Apsu's Favored Weapon is the Staff (which Dayo carried back in 1E), but since Champions can etch a Shifting Rune on their weapon for free, he still gets to wield his Nine-Ring Broadsword!

Totally didn't know you guys were married O.O Let's wait for the APG so we can all see what character options are available, and give you time to swap out enemy stats and skill DCs ^_^ Tentatively, Dayo will be a Fighter with the Aldori archetype. His focus was on dexterously swinging his sword, after all, and not really being much of a Monk, so there's not really an RP change there. He just dons a Chain Shirt and takes the rings out of his Broadsword (unless something similar gets released in APG).

Honestly, I'm hesitant. (this is probably going to come off as a grouchy rant) Converting to PF2 is the easier part (IMO). I statted up Tengus and Tieflings for two of my homegame players, which only took me maybe a few hours, so making a Ratfolk for BNW shouldn't be any more difficult. Most of the creatures in this AP probably exist on archivesofnethys already, so just use whatever the AP calls for. Skill DCs have been standardized. NPCs would probably be the only things that need crafting, but even then, you could just sub in something from Nethys. And, like you said, if a question comes up, we have the freedom to craft the answer. Or we can even wait until APG comes out to minimize homebrew. But my biggest trepidation is pacing, and I don't have an easy fix for that. I mentioned back in December that the inactivity of this game was really killing my interest. I'm used to everyone posting at least once a day, if not more so. I know it's possible, because the majority of my PbP games move that fast. Obviously a weekend here or there is understandable. That's life. But when delays are repetitive, it feels like nobody is interested anymore. How many times have just a couple of us RPed back and forth until there was nothing left to say? I have some suggestions, but would need everyone on board:
I realize that's asking a lot, but I really invest a lot of energy into my characters, and it's emotionally draining when day by day or week by week goes by with no communication. Since I'm checking the Forums daily, it just serves as a regular reminder that nothing is happening. --------------------------------------------- But I'm still worried that even if we started strong, the pandemic could get worse or the holidays would delay us again and it would just all fall apart again.

I sympathize with your anxiety. I have a lot of friends who aren't doing well right now, either. I've been looking for work for three months now myself so I'm basically in the same boat. And I don't want to further burden you with a brand new Campaign, or converting this one to PF2. That's a lot of work.

After I noticed the game disappeared from my list I mentally resounded Dayo to retirement. I've already statted him up tentatively as a PFS2 character instead. Waiting on the release of the APG. Keeping up with PF1 knowledge was something I was finally happy to let go of. I loved playing with you guys, but the wide gaps in inactivity aren't something I want to risk enduring again. And I'm fearful that the other Campaign BNW and I are in is also not coming back =/ Will definitely see you elsewhere on the Forums, tho! ^_^

Hopefully. The first Covid-19 death in California happened at the hospital up the street from me, and that patient's cul-de-sac is cordoned off by police at the moment, so depending on how things go I might have LOTS of time for PbP ^_^ Anyone else involved with Outpost III? I'm GMing my first online session of PFS2.

Dayo remains ever focused on the task of saving Aldern. Stunning Fist (Fort DC 14), Smite: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 3 = 29
Flurry of Blows, Smite: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 3 = 29
Crit #1 Confirmation?: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 3 = 24
Crit #2 Confirmation?: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 3 = 23

"This facade must be the taint I suspected. If you can still hear me, Aldern, we will not forsake you." Dayo draws his broadsword, but only as a distraction; he charges his open palm with holy light and thrusts it into the creature's solar plexus. Move Action to Draw Weapon, Swift Action to Smite Evil, Standard action to Stunning Fist (Fort DC 14): Unarmed Strike, Smite: 1d20 + 6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 3 = 11

Oomph. So that's who the revenant upstairs is. This guy's not going to get out of this easy. Dayo looks Aldern directly in the eyes, "You have a curse about you, Aldern. A curse that taints this house, this land, its people and the dead. It's not something I understand, but we know people who may be able to help you. To do that, we have to get you out of here. Will you come with us?" If another Diplomacy is needed...: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 Going to spare him the "you'll still have to pay for your crimes" until after Step 1 has been achieved.

Dayo closes his eyes, holds up two fingers, and slowly moves them left-to-right. Detect Evil. Regardless of the result... When Dayo's eyes open, he sheaths his sword and steps up to the man. He kneels beside him and places a hand reassuringly on his shoulder. "I have heard of you, and the good deeds you have done. My name is Dayo. I am a pilgrim of Apsu, and wish to end the torment that has befallen this land. What can you tell us of your ordeal?" Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Dayo pauses, and turns around. "Eoghan regularly complains he is of little 'use', and you were told the same as a child? Are humans in this land spending any time raising their children? The amount of negativity I've encountered since landing here is truly worthy of its own crusade." Dayo makes eye contact with everyone. "I don't know your whole stories. I only know what I've witnessed. And every one of you have proven your worth as a combatant, a scholar and a friend. Whatever sins you've committed in your other lives, take them up with your Creator. Whoever's wronged you in the past, either forgive them now or plan your vengeance. But as long as I walk with you, know that I trust in you and believe in your abilities."

Dayo attempts to dodge through the mayhem... Acrobatics, w/ ribbons!: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 12 + 2 = 26 ...and slashes at the ghast from behind! +1 Nine-Ring Broadsword, Flank: 1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 9 + 2 = 21
(or he stays put, if that Acrobatics wasn't good enough; I can't remember how the DC is handled)
