I, as a very young person who was left alone with a ton of PF1e rulebooks during the pandemic, really really love it. I've tried a couple of other systems, most notably D&D 5e, but they just don't give me the same feeling. As for why I don't care much for PF2e, there are a couple of things, but the big one is that potentially my favorite part of Pathfinder is digging through rulebooks (and these forums) and finding something I've never heard of, first party, in a rulebook, and they're always weird and interesting. And then I make a theorybuild. There's such an incredible wealth of interesting and niche and funny and cool content that exists hidden in the many years of Pathfinder 1e that the newness of PF2e is part of what turned me off to it. Also a bit of spite about the fact that it's so much harder to find 1e stuff. Additionally, while I think it was a pretty solid idea and I see why they did it, the departure from the base mechanics of Pathfinder doesn't interest me all that much.
Uh, that was a bit of a rant. TL;DR I love all the weird bits of 1e and 2e doesn't have those yet.
I'm not sure the rules cover this specific scenario, cause it's very unlikely, but my best guess would be that the Medium character would just be subject to the Huge creature's swallow whole damage until they cut their way out of its stomach. Then, they'd suffer the effects of the Colossal creature's swallow whole. What I wonder is what'd happen if the Huge creature died before you cut your way out of it.

Nostalgia?! I just got here! Really though, I won't be done with this game for a long time. I'm in a round-robin scenario where every few months we switch campaigns and GMs and it's awesome. Also, yeah I'm glad I came here after most of the trolls and such left. Now it's just a chill place where I can talk about my favorite thing ever, PF1e. And occasionally add mediocre additions to fun lists.

Well, at least at low levels, it depends on your Arcane School. If you're an Evoker for example, you get an okay attack option based on your intelligence modifier. You also get a similar but slightly worse option as a Universalist. Honestly though, the fact of the matter is that wizards aren't incredible at low levels. You get a few spells off, but then it's usually acid splash and light crossbows for the rest of the day.
On not feeling like a burden, there are some really underused cantrips, especially if your GM is the fun type. Prestidigitation, Ghost Sound, and Mage Hand are all really fun to use for RP stuff or pre-combat distractions if your GM is the type to let that sort of thing happen.
Choosing spells can be pretty hit or miss when you're too low-level to cover your bases properly, but I'd recommend having one non-attacking spell almost always, your choice but having some utility every day is hugely helpful.
One last note, for my 2cp, higher level wizards aren't all that different from video game wizards. Past a certain level (things start looking up at 5) wizards are pretty objectively the best class in the game. They have the best spell list, the most options, and some pretty ridiculous power past low levels.
Hope this helped a little!

92. Dust bunny.
"Oh, dang, looks like someone left some dust in this bag." And then next thing you know it starts hopping around and now you've got a dust bunny on your hands. Tiny creatures born from neglect after one decade too long without cleaning a bag of holding, dust bunnies are not appreciated by most, as they tend to just release dust and lint wherever they go. This doesn't have any mechanical effect, but everything just looks and feels a little dirtier when they're around. Fortunately, one good stomp is all it takes to get rid of them in a poof of lint, if you can catch them..

76. Old Oaken Bucket V
Identical to #71 but once emptied it can only be refilled by one pure of heart. Such individuals can refill it by submerging it in a spring of holy water and politely asking it to fill. Any individual can do this only once in their lifetime, and it makes one ineligible for future trials that require total purity. But hey, now you've got a bucket of holy water, so that's pretty nifty I would say.
102. Fool's Encounter.
The floor of this room is covered in complete, decent condition human skeletons. It also radiates strong necromancy and evil. Every sign points to the skeletons animating and initiating combat, but that doesn't happen. The auras are from the Vampire King in the next room, ready to ambush the party now that their guard is down.
About to run Curse as well, dotting for later. Thanks for the incredible maps!

I've only been posting since spring of 4723, but I've been lurking since mid-late covid, when I properly got into the game. So I win at being the baby of the site. :)

147. Chocolate Mint Chip (The horrifying bizarro version of Mint Chocolate Chip)
136. Sentient
137. Cumulus
138. Flaming (Don't ask how it stays cold)
110. Stirge Sausage and Flayleaf (sometimes called Feast of Ravenmoor)
108. Pavement
109. Ambrosia
107. Mustard, presumably (nobody wants to try it)
For my two cents I'd just like to add Opportune Parry and Riposte. One of my personal favorite examples of "the best defense is a good offense". Pump up your attack and Charisma (and Intelligence if you're going Inspired Blade) and suddenly when it really matters nothing can hit you. As far as I'm aware there aren't ways for other classes to get this, though I could be wrong about that.
Has anyone tried this? It seems like it'd work pretty well, but I don't know if it would cause any problems.

I'll be honest, it almost seems designed for Laori.
If that's not enough, tell them to look at some context clues. Let's look at fireball for an example.
A fireball spell generates a searing explosion of flame that detonates with a low roar and deals 1d6 points of fire damage per caster level (maximum 10d6)
With this misinterpretation, this means that the maximum damage on fireball would be literally impossible to attain, and considering it's one of (if not the) most iconic spells in the entire game, it's rather unlikely a misprint such as this would've survived past the cessation of content for the game.
Might want to pick up Pragmatic Activator with the wand of Make Whole and UMD route.
I've always pictured them as just floating crystals in the shape and material described in the name. I imagine they're regular (if unusually large and pure) gems that are enchanted through some indeterminate process.
Yeah, it really depends on how much HP we're assuming a normal human has. My threshold for it being worth it probably lies at about 30hp, if I were to limit gaming (Slay the Spire would kill me pretty quick). If we don't count avatars, no question. I can't think of a single time I've been injured in a fight.
However, you must consider that the psychic gets the most awesome spell in the game, Explode Head, one level earlier than the Diviner. :D
Another thing, if you're willing to multiclass a bit at higher levels, taking a dip into impossible bloodline sorcerer might be wise for its bloodline arcana.
Well, in an Iron Gods game someone's gonna need the Technologist feat, and a high int character like a psychic would likely be the best choice. relatedly, you'll want to max Knowledge (Engineering).
I don't know how to quote, but there is one instance I can think of where a boss has multiple health bars. Don't want to give spoilers for the AP, but the party kills a priestess of Urgathoa who turns into a Daughter of Urgathoa immediately upon dying. (she's actually slightly weaker in "phase two" though).
Does anyone know of a way to get the maps for this AP digitally? I couldn't find anything on the Roll20 shop, but I'm also open to trying other VTTs like Foundry. Barring that, does anyone know of some good map-making software? Thanks in advance.
As a person who was a sword nerd before getting into PF, it always perplexed me that a falchion was considered a two-handed sword.
The trouble is, in pathfinder gods don't have stat blocks.
More seriously, two weapon fighting automatically makes me think ranger or rogue. Rogues would be better for no armor, but Rangers could deal with the Exotic weapon proficiency feat tax.
I'd also like to point out that would never be me, and I wouldn't play at a table where that happened. (Apologies if I seemed to imply otherwise)
Equally interesting is how the rest of the party (even an evil one) would react to say, the CE barbarian just murdering the kid.
Yes, I can't find the quote at the moment but it definitely says somewhere "you can take a five-foot step before, in between, or after the attacks of a full attack action"
Additional questions:
Would putting a mutagen in to nauseate enemies be possible?
For a build, which would be better, using syringe spears or injection spears (or both?)
For the injection spear, would it also take a minute to reload? A minute per dose? A standard action per dose?
How about using a bomb in one? (unlikely but seems worth considering)
150: The mutilated remains of the Whicked Whitch of the Wheast. The hat of disguise she wore is in perfect condition.
As the title, considering a theory build centered around the weapon (because I think it's cool).
IMHO, regardless of whether or not it continues afterwards, (and I dearly hope it does,) Beardinator deserves to do 500.
496: Padparadscha: As 495, except it comments on them roughly 10-15 seconds after the events occur.

Yeah, It's a dragon quest slime. Just started replaying DQ11 and had it on the brain (I don't know how to quote).
My imagination has always been that it's visible as slightly glowing ice blue objects, unless it specifically says it's invisible.
466. This bean is electric blue and slightly squishy. When planted, a small blue teardrop-shaped slimy creature with a vacant smiling face grows from the plant in a matter of 1d4 minutes from a curled vine that curves its way around a large flower. If there are no bushes nearby, some grow a couple of feet away. Once this slimy creature manifests, it looks around, and if it sees anyone, it hops in surprise, seeming alarmed without ever changing its expression, and bounces quickly into the bushes. If anyone checks the bushes afterwards, the slime is gone, and the bushes shrink to nothing soon after.
Hello humans, elves, dwarves, etc! I'm here with a (dumb?) rules question about the Eldritch Scion magus archetype. It says "To use any ability that normally functions when in a bloodrage, an eldritch scion must spend a point from his eldritch pool (see below)." Below it says, "As a swift action, he can spend a point of eldritch energy to enter a state of mystical focus for 2 rounds. This allows him to use abilities from his bloodrager bloodline as though he were in a bloodrage, though he gains none of the other benefits or drawbacks of bloodraging."
Does this mean that when he's not in mystical focus, he can still activate boodrager abilities by spending a pool point? If so, for how long?

Ah what the heck, I'll try my hand. Looks fun!
73- Mongrelman
61- Sahaugin
20- Dhampir
50- Faun
18- Oread
Hmmmmmm... this'll be a hard one, I might need to spend some time with this. I'm thinking primarily subterranean, but Faun doesn't work great. This thread must not die!
Like Rhode Island sized. If I have a personal demiplane, I'm a spellcaster. If I'm a spellcaster, I probably have lots of weird projects going on. I'll also need space to relax, and maybe a guest county just in case.

566. Fireball-flies: These small glowing bugs look exactly like fireflies to all but the closest examination, (which is close to impossible to achieve upon a living specimen) and also live in the same habitats at the same times and places as normal fireflies. However, when scared, threatened, or about to die, they explode in a five foot radius dealing 1 point of fire damage. These creatures have given PTSD to many a curious elven child.
90. What was once a human sized, perfectly smooth, rhomboid stone floating in the exact center of the room. However, the magic sustaining it has since failed, and it lies in identical tiny rhomboid splinters in the middle of the floor.
I feel like if earth is known at all, it's only known by crazy elder mythos scholars, but maybe in a Therassic Spire or other massive arcane library you might find some information. I'd rule impossible without a library, and even then a minimum DC 30 check to learn anything mildly substantial.
2cp
But what if I AM trying to summon Gary the Celestial Dolphin again? It's just not the same if it's anyone else! :)
As well as being hilarious, I can also imagine doing something semi serious with it. It's fighting a giant whale or something...
Excuse me while I divert my players to the Plane of Water.
Starting in Curse of the Crimson Throne gets you an Artifact sword, Iron gods gets you all sorts of technological goodies... aside from that I don't know what benefits APs other than WotR would give you.
My absolute favorite of the options for this theme is the Vivisectionist.
Cleric of Zon-Kuthon comes to mind as well...
Here's a question for anyone still on this thread. How would you have a party with no Brew Potion or Craft (alchemy) make a cure for blood veil? Is there an NPC somewhere in the AP with either of those that they could enlist? Or would you let them use some other skill like Heal or something?
Thanks in advance.
443. The bean planter attracts the ire of the fey. for the next 1d4 + 1 days, a little dancing fey man follows the planter around, saying singsongy insults and ruining any attempts at stealth. If the party kills the little man, a Hamadryad appears and challenges them to a fight to the death.
